Prime Video moved Fallout Season 1’s premiere from its previously announced April 11 date to April 10, 2024. All eight episodes arrived together at 6 p.m. Pacific Time (9 p.m. Eastern) that day in the U.S. framing; in many other countries, the simultaneous launch fell on April 11 local time. The premiere is a past event, not an upcoming release.
What changed—and when could viewers watch?
Amazon announced that the complete first season of Fallout would stream on Prime Video at 6 p.m. Pacific Time on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, replacing the previously advertised April 11 premiere date. That meant U.S. viewers could start watching at 9 p.m. Eastern, 8 p.m. Central, 7 p.m. Mountain, or 6 p.m. Pacific. These are conversions for that release moment, not a general rule for Prime Video premieres. Amazon’s announcement confirmed the time and the eight-episode release.

The change was a schedule move for the whole season, not an early launch of only Episode 1: all eight episodes became available at once. Viewers could watch at their own pace or binge the season from the start.
Why did some viewers see April 11?
The release was scheduled simultaneously around the world for 6 p.m. Pacific on April 10. Because that moment was already April 11 in many time zones east of the United States, the local calendar date differed by country. Amazon’s U.K. coverage, for example, described the premiere as April 11 (Amazon U.K.). So “a day early” describes the change from April 11 to April 10 in the U.S.-focused announcement; it does not mean every viewer’s local date was April 10.

Where was it available?
Fallout streamed exclusively on Prime Video, with Amazon announcing availability in more than 240 countries and territories. Viewers needed Prime Video access through an eligible Amazon Prime membership or another applicable option in their market. Subscription options, prices, and catalog access vary by country and can change; the 2024 premiere date does not establish today’s availability or price.
If the series did not appear immediately at launch, refreshing or restarting the app was a sensible first step. Listings can also depend on account region, device, or parental controls. A listing showing April 11 in a local market was consistent with the time-zone conversion, not necessarily a separate launch.

How Amazon announced the move
The date change was revealed in a television commercial during the NCAA Men’s Basketball Championship broadcast, with Walton Goggins part of the announcement. Amazon presented the early arrival as a response to fan demand. That was promotional framing; no confirmed explanation tied the schedule change to review strategy, competition, or technical planning. Contemporaneous reporting by TheWrap also described the move from April 11 to April 10.

The television adaptation draws on Bethesda’s Fallout video-game franchise. Set roughly two centuries after nuclear devastation, it follows characters whose lives connect across underground Vaults and the surface wasteland. The main journeys center on Lucy, Maximus, and the Ghoul. The series was developed by Geneva Robertson-Dworet and Graham Wagner, with Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy among its executive producers; the principal cast includes Ella Purnell, Aaron Moten, Walton Goggins, and Kyle MacLachlan. Because every episode arrived together, viewers who wanted to avoid spoilers had reason to steer clear of social feeds and search results after the launch.
