Apple TV+: For All Mankind season 5
The alternate-history space drama returned Friday, March 27, with a reported 10-episode fifth season. BTS: The Return

The eight-episode horror series arrived Thursday, March 26. Its bride-to-be becomes convinced that disaster is coming for her wedding, placing the story firmly in supernatural or psychological-horror territory rather than ordinary relationship drama. Creator Haley Z. Boston developed the series, and the cast includes Oakville, Ontario’s Adam DiMarco. Paramount+: Hate the Player: The Ben Johnson Story
This six-episode Paramount+ Original uses a mockumentary approach to revisit Ben Johnson’s 1988 Olympic doping scandal. Prime Video: three film listings to verify carefully
Prime Video listed three arrivals, but a Prime catalogue entry does not automatically mean inclusion with the Prime membership.
- Hamnet (March 26): Chloé Zhao directed and co-wrote this 126-minute adaptation of Maggie O’Farrell’s novel, starring Paul Mescal, Jessie Buckley, Joe Alwyn and Jacobi Jupe. It imagines Shakespeare, Agnes Hathaway and the death of their young son. Confirm whether the Canadian listing is subscription streaming or PVOD.
- Pretty Lethal (March 25): In this 88-minute action thriller, a dysfunctional ballet troupe must defend itself after a bus breakdown. The cast includes Iris Apatow, Lana Condor, Millicent Simmonds, Avantika, Maddie Ziegler and Uma Thurman. Check the Canadian rental or purchase label.
- Wicked: For Good (March 27): Jon M. Chu’s 137-minute musical sequel stars Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, Jonathan Bailey, Michelle Yeoh, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang and Jeff Goldblum. Verify both Canadian availability and whether it is included, rented or purchased at Prime Video Canada.
Which service offered the best value?
For a free Canadian option, the Junos were the obvious winner. Existing Apple TV+ subscribers had a major weekly science-fiction return, while Marvel viewers had a similar reason to keep Disney+. Netflix had two distinct releases, making it more compelling than a service offering only one title. Crave and Paramount+ supplied the strongest Canadian-interest programming. Prime Video was potentially attractive to existing Prime members, but the three films required confirmation before assuming they were included in the membership.
If subscribing for only one show, a weekly release can make a one-month subscription poor value unless you wait for the finale. Conversely, an all-at-once season such as the reported Blue Collar drop is easier to watch within one billing cycle. Canadian prices and plan restrictions change, so use the official service pages rather than treating figures in a March 2026 roundup as current.
Accuracy and timing note
