NFL Network is currently unavailable on Comcast/Xfinity cable, so there is no current Comcast channel number to enter. Xfinity says its agreement to carry NFL Network and NFL RedZone expired on April 30, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time. The channels, related Xfinity Stream programming, and associated On Demand content are unavailable while no carriage agreement is in place. See Xfinity’s current notice.
Why older websites still list an NFL Network channel
Older channel guides may show numbers such as 180, 181, 249, 275, or 1205. Those numbers should not be treated as a current or universal answer.
Comcast channel positions vary by market, service package, and HD or SD lineup. Xfinity also changes lineups over time. After a programming agreement expires, a former channel position may be blank, reassigned, or removed entirely. A number that worked before April 30, 2026, does not establish that NFL Network is currently carried.

Some search results may also be referring to the separate NFL Channel available through Xumo. That free streaming channel is not the same service as the subscription television network NFL Network.

How to check your local Xfinity channel lineup
Checking your personalized lineup is still useful if you are looking for another football network or want to see whether Xfinity has restored NFL programming.
- Open Xfinity’s My Channel Lineup page.
- Sign in with the Xfinity ID, email address, or mobile number associated with your account.
- Enter your service address or ZIP code if prompted.
- Search for “NFL Network,” or browse the sports listings.
- Review your regular lineup and any sports-package details.
Xfinity also explains the lineup lookup process at its channel-lineup support page. In the Xfinity app, sign in and open the account’s TV or channel-lineup section, then search for the network or review your package.
You can also try an Xfinity Voice Remote by saying “NFL Network,” “NFL,” or “football.” Search results may show programs, alternative channels, or streaming options rather than a live linear channel. A result in the guide is not by itself proof that NFL Network is currently available.
Is NFL RedZone also unavailable on Xfinity?
Yes. Xfinity’s notice covers both NFL Network and NFL RedZone. They are separate services:

- NFL Network is the league’s 24-hour football network.
- NFL RedZone focuses on live Sunday scoring action and is generally offered as a separate sports-channel product.
The same notice says related content is unavailable through Xfinity Stream and On Demand. New DVR recordings of NFL Network or NFL RedZone programming will not record while the channels are unavailable, although existing recordings may remain playable. Xfinity says recording settings were retained in case the programming returns.
Do not confuse NFL Network with other football channels
ESPN, ESPN2, FS1, and local CBS, FOX, NBC, or ABC affiliates are separate networks. They may carry NFL games or football programming depending on your package and the particular broadcast rights, but they are not substitutes for the NFL Network channel itself.
The correct channel for a specific NFL game may be a local broadcast station, ESPN, NFL Network, Amazon Prime Video, Peacock, or another service. If you are trying to find one particular game, check that game’s current broadcast listing instead of searching only for NFL Network.
Where to watch NFL Network without Comcast
NFL+
NFL’s support information says NFL+ and NFL+ Premium include a live NFL Network stream on supported devices. NFL+ is the most direct option for someone who mainly wants NFL Network without replacing an entire cable package. It is not automatically a replacement for every live NFL game, every out-of-market game, or every television-channel feature. Confirm the plan, device compatibility, and applicable restrictions at NFL+.

Live-TV streaming providers
Some live-TV services also carry NFL Network. Hulu’s official channel listing includes NFL Network, subject to plan and location. YouTube TV’s NFL Network notice says subscribers can watch it through the main plan or a Sports Plan.
Provider lineups, package requirements, regional availability, prices, taxes, and add-ons can change. Verify the exact plan at signup rather than relying on a general provider list. NFL’s supported-provider page identifies participating providers, but provider authentication does not guarantee that NFL Network is included in every plan.
What about Xumo’s NFL Channel?
Xumo has listed an NFL Channel among its free streaming channels. It is not the same as the paid linear NFL Network feed that Comcast previously carried. Finding NFL Channel through Xumo therefore does not mean NFL Network has returned to Xfinity cable.

What if NFL Network still appears in your guide?
A remaining listing can result from stale guide data, an On Demand or program listing, a different service such as Xumo’s NFL Channel, or a lineup database that has not updated. Check your signed-in local lineup and Xfinity’s current carriage notice.
If a former NFL Network number produces a blank screen, do not assume that repeated equipment rescans will fix it. First confirm whether the channel is included in your current lineup. Under the present notice, the blank or unavailable channel may reflect the expired carriage agreement rather than a cable-box fault.
Could NFL Network return to Xfinity?
Xfinity says Comcast is continuing to work toward making the programming available again, but it does not provide a restoration date or promise that an agreement will be reached. If the channels return, the position may still differ by market and package. Confirm the number through My Channel Lineup rather than relying on an old guide.

Frequently Asked Questions
What channel was NFL Network on Comcast?
Older Comcast lineups used different channel positions by market and package. Those former numbers are not reliable now because Xfinity currently says it is not authorized to carry NFL Network.
