FOX One is a real U.S. streaming service, not a future launch announcement. Fox launched it on August 21, 2025, and the service currently lists a price of $19.99 per month, with a three-day free trial for new subscribers. It combines Fox’s live news, sports, entertainment, and local-station programming—but it does not replace every live-TV or sports service.
FOX One makes the most sense for households that regularly watch Fox-broadcast NFL games, MLB, college sports, NASCAR, Fox News, FS1, FS2, Big Ten Network, or Fox entertainment. If you already subscribe to cable or a live-TV streaming service, check whether you can authenticate first; you may already have access without paying again.
What FOX One is
FOX One is Fox Corporation’s paid direct-to-consumer streaming platform for viewers in the United States. It brings together live and on-demand programming from Fox’s news, sports, entertainment, broadcast, and local-station businesses.
Fox announced the service on May 12, 2025, announced pricing on August 5, and launched it on August 21, 2025. Fox described the service as a way to reach households outside the traditional cable bundle, but the practical description is more precise: FOX One is a digital replacement for much of the Fox portion of a pay-TV package.

It is different from Tubi, Fox’s free, ad-supported streaming service, and from FOX Nation, which focuses on Fox News-oriented originals, documentaries, and library programming. It also differs from the authenticated FOX Sports app experience available to eligible pay-TV subscribers.

What you get for $19.99 a month
Fox’s current consumer homepage lists FOX One at $19.99 per month and advertises a three-day free trial for new subscribers. Pricing and promotions can change, so check the checkout screen before committing. Fox has previously advertised different trial lengths and introductory offers.

Sports
The advertised sports portfolio includes FOX Sports, FS1, FS2, FOX Deportes, and Big Ten Network, along with events Fox has the rights to distribute. Depending on the season and rights schedule, that can include:
- NFL games carried by Fox
- MLB games carried by Fox
- College football and basketball
- NASCAR and IndyCar
- UFL games
- FIFA World Cup programming
Fox also promotes sports-focused tools including multiview for up to four live events, DVR functionality, Key Plays and highlights, live-event statistics, personalized recommendations, and topic-based discovery. These are advertised features; availability and behavior can vary by device and event.

Entertainment
FOX One includes Fox broadcast programming and has listed shows such as The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Hell’s Kitchen, The Floor, Celebrity Weakest Link, and Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.
That does not mean every Fox-owned program or every episode remains available permanently. On-demand libraries can change with broadcast schedules, licensing windows, and location.

Fox advertises access to local Fox stations, but local availability depends on the viewer’s market and affiliate arrangements. Enter your ZIP code or confirm local-channel availability before subscribing. “Fox network included” does not guarantee that every household receives the same affiliate, schedule, or local programming.
What FOX One does not include
The most important limitation is that FOX One contains Fox’s rights—not every event in a league.
It does not include every NFL game
FOX One includes NFL games carried on Fox, primarily the applicable Sunday-afternoon windows. Other games may be carried by CBS, NBC, ESPN or ABC, Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, or other distributors depending on the season. NFL Sunday Ticket remains the major out-of-market Sunday-afternoon product.

Regional rules, local-market availability, blackouts, and national scheduling can also affect what appears in your account. If you want every NFL game, FOX One alone is not sufficient.
It does not include every MLB or college game
FOX One covers MLB and college sports that Fox distributes through its own networks and rights agreements. It does not provide every MLB game, every college game, or every conference’s complete schedule.
Big Ten Network is especially relevant for college-sports viewers, but BTN and B1G+ are not interchangeable. Some Big Ten content may require a separate B1G+ add-on. Fox previously listed BTN add-on pricing at $12.99 monthly or $89.99 annually, but that older pricing should be verified at checkout rather than treated as a guaranteed current offer.

The FOX One and FOX Nation bundle page is the best place to verify current bundle terms. It lists an annual bundle price of $239.88, equivalent to $19.99 per month when billed annually, but annual billing trades flexibility for a lower effective monthly rate.
Fox says annual cancellation prevents renewal but does not refund the current annual subscription period. Promotional prices also expire, so check the first billing date, renewal price, auto-renewal status, and whether app-store billing applies.

If you subscribed through Apple or Google, you may need to manage or cancel that original subscription through the relevant app store before switching to a web-based bundle.
Can cable and live-TV subscribers use FOX One?
Fox announced that eligible pay-TV customers could authenticate within FOX One at no additional cost. Try that route before starting a paid subscription.
- Open FOX One and choose the provider-login or authentication option.
- Select your cable, satellite, or live-TV provider.
- Sign in with the credentials for that provider.
- Confirm which Fox channels and features your package unlocks.
Authentication depends on the provider and the channels included in your plan. It may not unlock every standalone FOX One feature or premium add-on. Distributor disputes or temporary blackouts can also interrupt access even when you normally qualify.

- Android TV and Google TV
- Fire TV running FireOS 6.0 or later
- Supported Samsung Smart TV models from 2019 or later using Tizen
- Vizio Smart TVs from 2016 or later
- LG Smart TVs from 2020 or later
- iPhone and iPad devices running iOS 16 or later
- Android mobile devices
- Xbox Series X and Series S
- Prime Video Channels
Supported devices do not necessarily offer identical features. Fox specifically notes that casting and AirPlay availability can vary by event, so confirm compatibility if those functions matter to you.

Who should subscribe?

FOX One versus the alternatives
Tubi
Tubi is free and ad-supported. It can be useful for general entertainment, but it is not a replacement for FOX One’s paid live sports, Fox News, local-station, and premium-feature offering.
FOX Nation
FOX Nation is narrower and more focused on Fox News-related originals, documentaries, and library programming. The FOX One + FOX Nation bundle is worthwhile only if you want both the live Fox portfolio and FOX Nation’s exclusive content.
Traditional live-TV streaming
YouTube TV, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, DirecTV Stream, cable, and satellite can offer broader channel lineups, including networks outside Fox. They may cost more, but a wider package can be cheaper than assembling FOX One, ESPN, B1G+, NFL Sunday Ticket, and other services separately.
Sports-specific services
Sports-specific products may be better for out-of-market games or leagues whose rights are not on Fox. The correct comparison is not “Which app has sports?” but “Which service carries the teams, league, conference, market, and game windows I actually watch?”
How to decide before paying
- List the channels you need. Mark Fox local, FS1, FS2, Fox News, Fox Business, Fox Weather, BTN, Fox Deportes, and every non-Fox channel you still require.
- Map your sports schedule. Identify whether your must-watch games are on Fox, CBS, NBC, ESPN, Amazon, another service, or an out-of-market package.
- Check local availability. Confirm the Fox affiliate and schedule for your ZIP code.
- Try provider authentication. Existing pay-TV customers should do this before entering payment details.
- Calculate the replacement cost. Compare FOX One with your entire current live-TV bill—not with a single entertainment service.
- Review renewal terms. Note the trial end date, promotional expiration, renewal price, billing platform, and annual cancellation policy.
The bottom line on FOX One
FOX One is a targeted live-TV service, not a universal cable replacement. At the currently listed $19.99 monthly price, it can be compelling for Fox-heavy households that want live Fox sports, Fox News, local Fox programming, and Fox entertainment in one app. Its value drops quickly if you need every NFL game, comprehensive MLB or college coverage, or major networks outside Fox.
Before subscribing, check your local station, map the specific games you watch, and attempt provider authentication. The decisive question is not whether FOX One has a large lineup; it is whether that lineup replaces a larger bill or simply adds another subscription.
