Globo launched GE TV on September 4, 2025. The free, digital sports channel replaced GE Fast in Globo’s announced distribution and is aimed primarily at viewers in Brazil. Try the official GE TV stream or videos on GE, search for GE TV in Globoplay, or look for an official GE livestream on YouTube. Availability of a particular match—and of the channel itself—can depend on your country, platform and the event’s rights.
What is GE TV?
GE TV, styled “ge tv” by Globo, is a free digital sports-entertainment channel from the Brazilian media company. Globo announced it on August 29, 2025, and launched it on September 4 with Brazil vs. Chile in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. It took the place of GE Fast in the announced digital-channel distribution. Globo’s launch announcement describes a mix of live sport, discussion, shows, highlights and other programming.
It is not another name for every Globo sports service. TV Globo is the broadcaster’s television network; SporTV is its sports television brand; and Premiere is its football subscription and pay-per-view service. GE, meanwhile, is Globo’s sports news brand and website, which also carries videos and GE TV-related content. A game appearing somewhere in Globo’s portfolio does not mean it is necessarily on GE TV.

Start with official Globo channels. The launch announcement named Globoplay, YouTube, Samsung TV Plus, Claro and the GE website as distribution routes, and announced LG and TCL availability for expansion later in September 2025. Those are launch-era distribution details, not a guarantee that every service carries the channel today or in every country. Check the current catalog for your location and device.

- GE website: Visit GE and look for its live or video section. GE’s GE TV live page is another official starting point, though some pages may retain older GE Fast wording.
- YouTube: Search YouTube for GE TV or GE and select a livestream, scheduled program or on-demand video from an account you can verify is official. A broadcast may not be live at the time you search, or may be unavailable in your region.
- Globoplay: Open the official app or website and search for GE TV. The launch materials confirm distribution on Globoplay, but do not establish one permanent menu path or whether every device requires a login. If GE TV does not appear, update the app and check the service’s availability in your region.
- GE app: Globo’s Google Play listing, updated June 26, 2026, describes GE TV videos and news in the app. That does not confirm that every live event or the entire linear channel is available there.
- Connected TVs and operators: Search the channel guide or platform catalog for GE TV on Samsung TV Plus, Claro, LG or TCL where offered. Availability can vary by country, device, app catalog and operator. If it is missing, try an official GE web or video route instead.
For a smart TV, YouTube or Globoplay may be the simplest route if the app is available on your set. You can also search the TV’s channel guide. If an old guide or page still says GE Fast, search for GE TV as well: legacy branding may linger.
Is GE TV free?
Globo presents GE TV as a free digital channel; there is no GE TV-specific paid subscription identified in the cited materials. That does not mean every event in Globo’s sports portfolio is free to watch on GE TV. A particular match may be assigned to TV Globo, SporTV, Premiere, Globoplay or another rights holder, and access may also depend on platform login or regional restrictions.
So check the listing for the exact match or event before settling in. Do not buy a SporTV or Premiere plan just to access GE TV unless Globo’s current information says the event you want is carried there.

What’s on the channel?
Globo’s launch description included live sporting events, pregame and postgame coverage, discussion programs, lives, highlights, videocasts, mesacasts and archive programming. The sports named in that launch-era description included club and national-team football, Libertadores, Brasileirão Série A, Copa do Brasil, Supercopa do Brasil, Brazil’s men’s and women’s national teams, Brasileirão Feminino Série A, the NFL, Volleyball Nations League, WSL and SLS.
That list describes Globo’s announced programming and rights portfolio; it is not a promise that every competition, match or round will appear live on GE TV. Rights and schedules change, so use the current GE TV listing or the official event-specific announcement to confirm where a broadcast is available.
The channel also carries original programming. For example, Globo announced “Hexa Neles!”, a World Cup warm-up program hosted by Denílson with Rafael Sóbis as commentator, beginning April 7, 2026. Globo said it would be available on YouTube, Globoplay and partner platforms.

How to find a specific match
- Look up the match on GE or another official Globo event page.
- Check the event’s own “where to watch” information. Confirm whether it names GE TV, TV Globo, SporTV, Premiere, Globoplay or a different service.
- Open the named official platform and check whether you are looking at the live feed, a scheduled stream or an on-demand replay.
- If it is missing, check the country and device catalog and try another official route. Do not assume that Globo holding some rights to a competition means GE TV carries every game.
Major events can be spread across several services. For example, Globo’s 2026 World Cup coverage involved multiple parts of its media portfolio; distribution varied by match. See Globo’s viewing guide and the event-specific listing for the broadcast you want.

If GE TV is not showing

Is GE TV the same as GE Fast?
No. Globo launched GE TV as the successor to GE Fast in its announced digital-channel distribution. Older pages may still show the former name.
Can I watch GE TV in the United States?
The available distribution information is Brazil-focused and does not establish current availability in the United States or other countries. A stream or channel listing may be absent or geo-restricted outside Brazil.
