No 2026 Black Friday discount has been confirmed yet for Disney+, HBO Max, or Apple TV. As of August 18, 2026, the best evidence is last year’s promotions: HBO Max reached $2.99 per month for 12 months, Disney and Hulu offered an ad-supported bundle for $4.99 per month, and Apple TV was reportedly discounted through Prime Video. Black Friday 2026 falls on November 27.
Those 2025 prices are useful benchmarks, not promises. The right choice will depend on whether you want the lowest monthly price, an ad-free service, a larger bundle, or a short-term subscription for specific documentaries and shows.

When a 2026 offer appears, verify its announcement date, deadline and time zone, eligibility, advertising tier, promotional term, renewal price, taxes, billing platform, and whether an existing subscription must expire first.

What happened in 2025?
HBO Max had the clearest standalone deal
Warner Bros. Discovery officially offered eligible new and returning subscribers Basic with Ads for $2.99 per month for 12 months, described as 70% off the then-$10.99 monthly price. The offer ended December 1, 2025, and automatically renewed at the then-current regular price after the promotional term. See the official HBO Max announcement.

This is the strongest verified price benchmark, but it should not be presented as a confirmed 2026 offer. The 70% calculation referred to the 2025 price and may not apply to the service’s 2026 pricing.
Disney’s strongest value was a bundle
Contemporaneous deal coverage reported a Disney+ and Hulu promotion at $4.99 per month for 12 months. It was an ad-supported offer and automatically renewed at the then-current regular price. The deal therefore delivered two services, but it was not equivalent to an ad-free Disney+ subscription.
Disney’s current U.S. bundle options make the comparison more complicated. The company lists Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max at $19.99 per month with ads and $32.99 per month without ads. The services remain separate apps, and the bundle’s terms include stated exceptions for some live or linear content. Check the official bundle page before subscribing.

Apple TV’s reported deal came through a third party
Apple TV’s direct U.S. price is currently $12.99 per month after a seven-day free trial. Deal coverage reported Apple TV through Prime Video at $5.99 per month for six months during the 2025 Black Friday period. That was a marketplace channel promotion, not clearly an Apple-direct Black Friday sale.
Apple also offers three free months with qualifying device purchases, subject to redemption within 90 days, and access for Apple Music Student Plan subscribers. Apple TV subscriptions should be distinguished from the Apple TV app and Apple TV hardware. Details are available on Apple’s service page.

The Disney and Apple figures are historical examples and must be checked against the final 2026 terms. Do not compare these offers without accounting for ads, included services, video quality, downloads, simultaneous streams, app access, and renewal pricing.

Which service is likely to suit you?
Choose Disney+ or a Disney bundle when you want breadth for the household
Disney+ is the natural fit for Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic content. Its value improves substantially if you also want Hulu or HBO Max. Someone who would otherwise pay for two or three services should compare the regular bundle before chasing a standalone discount.

Choose HBO Max when the content matters more than ad-free viewing
HBO Max is the strongest candidate for the lowest standalone Black Friday price because of its verified 2025 $2.99 offer. It is particularly attractive for HBO programming, Warner Bros. films, DC titles, and A24 content.

The lowest price was specifically for Basic with Ads. If you want ad-free viewing, higher video quality, downloads, or other premium features, compare the relevant tier rather than treating the $2.99 offer as representative of the entire service.
Choose Apple TV when you want Apple Originals or qualify for another route
Apple TV can make sense for viewers who prioritize Apple Originals, Friday Night Baseball, or Apple’s other sports programming and do not need the largest licensed back catalog. Its subscription programming is generally presented without traditional ad breaks.

Direct subscriptions versus third-party channels
Direct signup
- Usually provides the clearest provider-specific terms.
- Account management and cancellation occur with the service itself.
- You may miss a partner-only promotion.
- Existing subscribers may not qualify as new or returning customers.
Third-party billing
- May provide a deeper temporary discount or consolidate billing.
- Eligibility can differ from the provider’s direct offer.
- Cancellation must normally be handled through the billing partner.
- Viewing may occur through the marketplace app, with different activation, profile, download, or device rules.
Do not assume that a Prime Video, Apple, Google, Roku, Amazon, or other partner subscription behaves exactly like a direct subscription. Confirm where you will watch, where you will cancel, and whether the promotion attaches to your existing account.
Should you buy all three?
Three separate subscriptions may offer the most flexibility, but a bundle can be cheaper if you genuinely want all three. Disney currently lists the Disney+, Hulu, and HBO Max bundle at $19.99 per month with ads or $32.99 without ads. Compare that total with the combined post-promotion prices, not merely the first month of separate discounts.
The best calculation depends on your viewing pattern:
- One service: Take the deepest promotion for the specific catalog you will watch, especially if you plan to cancel afterward.
- Two services: Compare a Disney bundle with separate deals. The bundle may win even if one standalone discount looks cheaper.
- All three: Start with the Disney, Hulu, and HBO Max bundle, then check whether a temporary standalone offer offers a meaningful saving without duplicating access.
- Short-term binge: A six-month or 12-month deal may be unnecessary if you can subscribe for one month, watch the target programs, and cancel.
How existing subscribers should handle a Black Friday offer
- Open your account page and identify the billing provider.
- Check the subscription’s next billing date and the date access ends after cancellation.
- Read the promotion’s definition of new, returning, and existing subscribers.
- Check whether the offer works with annual plans, bundles, student plans, credits, or partner billing.
- Do not cancel until you understand whether cancellation ends access immediately or only prevents renewal.
- If you qualify, confirm that the discounted plan is attached to the intended account.
- Set a reminder several days before the promotional term ends.
A currently active subscription may prevent promotional signup, or the promotion may be treated as a separate partner subscription. Eligibility varies by service and offer, so cancellation alone is not a guarantee of qualification.
Common traps
- Auto-renewal: Promotional prices generally end automatically unless you cancel before renewal.
- Ad-tier mismatch: The cheapest offer may not include ad-free viewing, downloads, 4K, or the same stream limits.
- Bundle overlap: You can accidentally pay for a standalone service and a bundle containing that same service.
- Trial confusion: A seven-day trial is not a 12-month discount and may convert to the full monthly price quickly.
- Price changes: “Then-current price” language means the renewal amount cannot be inferred from the promotional price.
- Regional restrictions: The cited Disney bundle pricing is U.S.-only. Catalogs, currencies, names, and promotions differ elsewhere.
- Separate apps: A bundle may provide access to several services without placing all content in one app.
- Early expiration: An offer can disappear before Black Friday weekend or remain available after Black Friday, depending on its terms.
Final verdict
As of August 18, 2026, none of the three services has a confirmed Black Friday 2026 discount in the available official material. HBO Max had the strongest verified standalone 2025 deal at $2.99 per month for 12 months, while Disney’s best value was more compelling for households wanting Hulu or HBO Max as well. Apple TV’s savings may again come through eligibility-based offers or a third-party channel rather than a large Apple-direct sale.
Wait for the official 2026 terms before treating any price as live. When the offers arrive, compare the full first-year cost, advertising tier, billing route, expiration date, and renewal price—not just the headline percentage.
