- BBC iPlayer: the official online stream for eligible UK viewers.
BBC iPlayer is not a worldwide free-streaming service. Access can depend on being in the UK, having a BBC account and meeting current television-licence requirements. Check the BBC’s current guidance before relying on an archived video.
The match was also carried on TNT Sports 3. Contemporary FA Cup coverage referred to TNT Sports’ streaming service, including discovery+ references for the event period. The FA has also identified HBO Max as the newer UK streaming home for TNT Sports coverage, so platform branding and archive availability should be checked directly rather than assumed.

Where US viewers watched
Contemporary US viewing coverage listed the match on ESPN Select. That was a paid or subscription-based route, not a confirmed free stream. ESPN’s branding, plan names and catalogue can change, so check the official ESPN FA Cup video hub before subscribing.

How to look for an official replay
Full-match rights are often temporary and vary by territory. A broadcaster that showed the live game may later retain only highlights, clips, statistics or a written report.
- Open the BBC Sport live page and look for an archived video player.
- If you are in the UK, check BBC iPlayer’s sports and FA Cup listings while signed in.
- In the United States, search the ESPN FA Cup hub and the official match page.
- Check the current TNT Sports or HBO Max sports archive if you already have access to that service.
- If no full replay is listed, use official highlights and match reports instead of an unauthorized recording.
The Aston Villa match report is a legitimate non-subscription alternative, although a written report is not a substitute for the complete match.
Options for viewers outside the UK and US
Broadcast rights are territorial. A BBC iPlayer stream cannot be presented as a global solution, and US availability does not establish access in another country. International viewers should use the FA’s global broadcast-partner information as a starting point, then check the local broadcaster’s current archive.
The FA’s partner list does not guarantee that every broadcaster still carries this specific fourth-round replay. Availability can expire or differ between live coverage, full replays and highlights.

Why unofficial “free streams” are a bad option
Unofficial streams can infringe copyright and commonly surround the video with deceptive advertising, fake play buttons, malicious downloads, browser-notification abuse and fraudulent subscription forms. They may also attempt to capture passwords or payment details.
No pirate IPTV service, mirror, torrent page or unofficial social-media feed is included here. The safe alternatives are the broadcaster that held the rights in your territory, an authorized archive, or official highlights. A VPN also does not create broadcasting rights and may conflict with a platform’s terms.
What happened in the match?
Newcastle came from behind to win 3–1 and eliminate Aston Villa. Sandro Tonali scored twice, while Villa played much of the match with ten men. - Free when live: eligible UK viewers could use BBC One or BBC iPlayer.
- Paid UK coverage: TNT Sports 3 and its associated streaming arrangements also carried the match.
- US coverage: contemporary listings pointed to ESPN Select; it should not be described as free.
- Now: there is no live fixture. Any remaining video depends on current rights and archive policy.
Do not confuse “watch online” with “watch for free,” or a surviving score page with a guaranteed full-match replay.
