Some eligible Amazon customers may see a legitimate 90-day Amazon Music Unlimited promotion, but it is not verified as a universal offer for everyone. Amazon changes trial lengths, eligibility rules, and renewal prices by campaign, account, location, and date. The offer shown after you sign in at the official Amazon Music Unlimited page is the one that matters.
Before accepting, check the promotional period, plan, first paid billing date, renewal price, and tax information. If you only want the free period, cancel through the correct billing provider soon after signing up and save the confirmation.
Is the 90-day Amazon Music offer real?
It can be. Amazon has historically offered three-month or 90-day promotions, including purchase-linked, email-linked, and account-specific rewards. But a headline saying “90 days free” does not prove that the offer is still available to every reader.

Use this rule: the signed-in Amazon offer card and final checkout screen are decisive. An old deal article, search result, coupon page, or third-party signup link cannot establish that your account qualifies.
How to check and claim the offer safely
- Sign in to the Amazon account that received the email, purchase reward, or in-app prompt.
- Open the official Amazon Music Unlimited signup page directly.
- Read the offer card before clicking the acceptance button.
- Confirm the trial length, plan name, Prime-member status, renewal date, renewal price, and whether tax will be added.
- Complete the signup only if the terms are acceptable.
- Save the confirmation email or take a screenshot of the offer and billing details.
Do not assume that changing browsers, clearing cookies, or using a coupon code will produce a longer trial. If your account shows one month, that is the offer currently available to you.
Who is eligible?
Amazon’s surfaced promotional terms describe these offers as intended for new Amazon Music Unlimited subscribers, generally with one offer per customer and account. Availability can also depend on the U.S. market, previous promotions, the account used, and whether the offer is tied to a particular purchase, device, email, or campaign.
“New subscriber” is not always fully defined before sign-in. It may exclude someone who has previously subscribed, used a trial, or redeemed a conflicting promotion—but a previous trial does not automatically tell you what your account will be offered today. Rely on the eligibility language displayed for your account.
You may not see the 90-day promotion because:
- the campaign expired or was replaced;
- your account is not eligible;
- you previously used a subscription or promotion;
- the offer belongs to another Amazon account;
- you are outside the eligible country;
- the offer is restricted to a specific order, email, Alexa device, or Fire TV campaign; or
- a third-party page is describing an old promotion.
What you get during Amazon Music Unlimited
Amazon describes Music Unlimited as an ad-free, on-demand music service with a catalog of approximately 100 million songs. Depending on the market, plan, device, and content rights, the subscription may also include:

“No ads” refers to the Amazon Music Unlimited listening experience, not every part of Amazon. The Amazon website, app interface, or account may still display promotional messaging. Podcasts can also contain creator-read sponsorships or other material embedded in the program itself.
Downloaded tracks are for offline listening in the Amazon Music app. They are not permanent, DRM-free ownership of the music, and availability can change with licensing rights or subscription status.
What happens after the promotional period?
Unless you cancel, Amazon Music Unlimited normally converts to a paid recurring subscription after the promotional period. The exact account terms control, but the official page surfaced for this research displayed monthly prices of $10.99 for Prime members and $11.99 for non-Prime customers, plus applicable tax. Treat those figures as a dated price signal, not a guarantee: the checkout page may show something different.
Also, “three months” and “90 days” are not necessarily presented as the same billing calculation. Record the specific date Amazon gives you rather than calculating the end date yourself.
Save these details:
- signup date;
- last day of promotional access;
- first paid billing date;
- renewal price and tax wording; and
- plan type, such as Individual, Family, or Single Device.
Can you cancel immediately?
Often, canceling shortly after signup is the safest way to prevent an unwanted renewal. Amazon’s FAQ says canceled subscriptions generally remain available through the end of the current billing cycle and that promotional pricing remains in effect for the remainder of the promotion. However, trial-specific behavior can depend on the offer and billing channel.

After canceling, look for a confirmation stating either that access continues until a specific date or that the trial ends immediately. Do not rely on a general assumption. Screenshot the confirmation and note the displayed end date.

Subscriptions billed directly by Amazon
- Open Your Amazon Music Settings.
- Sign in to the account with the subscription.
- Find the Amazon Music Unlimited subscription section.
- Choose the cancellation or subscription-management option.
- Continue through every confirmation screen.
- Verify that auto-renewal is off and record the access end date.
Amazon changes account-page labels and layouts, so follow the status and end date shown inside your account rather than relying on an old screenshot.
Subscriptions billed through Apple
If you subscribed through Apple in the Amazon Music iOS app, Amazon cannot cancel or manage the subscription. Use Apple’s controls instead:
- Open Settings on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap your Apple Account name.
- Tap Subscriptions.
- Select Amazon Music.
- Tap Cancel Subscription or Cancel Free Trial, then confirm.
See Apple’s official subscription-management guidance. Amazon also says promotional offers are not available for Amazon Music Unlimited subscriptions purchased through Apple in-app payment.
Alexa and Fire TV signups
Amazon says customers can start a trial on an Echo by saying, “Alexa, try Amazon Music Unlimited.” A Single Device plan may be designed for listening on one compatible Echo or Fire TV device. Identify the billing channel and check the subscription status in the associated Amazon account before canceling.

Amazon Music Prime versus Unlimited
Prime membership and Music Unlimited are different products. Prime includes access to a large selection of music and top podcasts at no additional charge, but Amazon describes Unlimited as offering broader on-demand functionality and additional audio-quality options.

A Prime member does not need Unlimited simply to listen to Amazon music. Unlimited is more compelling if Prime’s playback restrictions are frustrating or if you want the larger on-demand catalog and premium audio formats.
Plan and device trade-offs
- Individual: Usually the simplest choice for one listener.
- Family: Worth considering for a household with several simultaneous listeners; verify the live price, eligibility, and device limits. Amazon’s FAQ describes a plan supporting up to six simultaneous devices.
- Single Device: Suitable for one compatible Echo or Fire TV device, but a poor fit if you need phone, computer, or multi-device listening.
- Annual plans: They may reduce the effective monthly cost but require a larger upfront payment and can have different eligibility rules.
Lossless and spatial audio may use more data and storage. They also provide limited practical benefit if you mainly listen through basic Bluetooth equipment.

The 90-day offer is missing
Sign in directly at Amazon’s official page, confirm that you are using the correct account, and read the available promotion. Do not use a third-party workaround. If Amazon shows a different offer—or no offer—that is the current eligibility result for that account.

You were shown one month instead of 90 days
Accept only if the shorter promotion suits you. Do not assume a different browser, device, or payment card will restore the advertised duration.

The price differs from this article

You were charged after canceling
Check whether you completed the final cancellation step, whether Apple handled the billing, whether another Amazon account was used, and whether cancellation occurred after the renewal timestamp. Also check whether the charge belongs to a Family or Single Device plan. Retain the cancellation confirmation and contact Amazon customer service promptly if the charge appears incorrect.
You deleted the app or removed your card
Deleting Amazon Music does not cancel a subscription. Removing or changing a payment card does not reliably stop auto-renewal either. Cancel through Amazon or the platform that bills you.

You forgot the end date
Check Amazon Music Settings, the original signup email, Amazon subscription settings, Apple Subscriptions if applicable, and your card statement. Do not wait for a declined payment; failed payments do not reliably terminate the subscription and can create account problems.
Is Amazon Music Unlimited worth keeping?
Keep it after the trial if you regularly want on-demand playback, use Alexa or Fire TV, value HD or spatial audio, or need a service that works naturally with your Amazon setup. Prime members should first decide whether the included Prime Music experience is already sufficient.
It is probably a poor fit if you already prefer Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, TIDAL, or Qobuz; listen only occasionally; do not use premium audio features; or would not willingly pay the displayed renewal price. Spotify may be stronger for discovery and social playlists, Apple Music for Apple-device integration, YouTube Music for videos and remixes, and TIDAL or Qobuz for listeners prioritizing high-fidelity features.
The commercial offer itself does not change the editorial decision: a free trial is useful only if the post-trial plan is something you would choose at its normal price.

Final recommendation
Claim the promotion if the official, signed-in Amazon page clearly shows 90 days—or another period you accept—and you are comfortable with the displayed renewal terms. Cancel soon after signup if you want only the trial, then verify the end date. Keep the subscription only when its on-demand access, catalog, device support, or audio features justify the recurring charge.
