NFL+ is the NFL’s subscription streaming service, but it is not a complete replacement for NFL Sunday Ticket. The base plan focuses on live local and primetime games on supported phones and tablets, NFL Network, preseason games, live audio, and NFL programming. NFL+ Premium adds NFL RedZone, full-game and condensed-game replays, All-22 coaches film, and NFL Pro.
The prices below are the NFL’s December 2025-era U.S. prices: $6.99 per month or $49.99 per season for NFL+, and $14.99 per month or $99.99 per season for NFL+ Premium. Prices, features, taxes, and platform fees can change, so verify the checkout price before subscribing.
Quick verdict
- Choose NFL+ if you want local and primetime games on a phone or tablet, NFL Network, live audio, preseason coverage, and NFL programming.
- Choose NFL+ Premium if you also want RedZone, full-game replays, condensed games, or All-22 film.
- Choose NFL Sunday Ticket instead if your priority is watching out-of-market Sunday-afternoon games live, particularly on a television.
NFL+ by itself does not provide every NFL game live on every screen.

NFL+ is the NFL’s own paid streaming service. It combines limited live game access with NFL Network, live game audio, preseason coverage, library programming, highlights, and selected fantasy tools. The service is delivered through the NFL website and NFL app, but the app and subscription are not the same thing.

The free NFL app provides scores, news, highlights, and other features. Installing the app does not automatically give you an NFL+ subscription.

What live games can you watch with NFL+?
Local regular-season and postseason games
NFL+ can stream live local games on supported mobile devices, officially described by the NFL as phones and tablets. This is useful when you are away from a television, but it does not mean the same live stream is authorized on every smart TV or connected device.
Primetime games
Live nationally televised games are included on supported mobile devices, subject to the NFL’s rules and the applicable broadcast schedule.
Out-of-market preseason games
NFL+ includes live out-of-market preseason games. Availability still depends on the preseason schedule, market, and applicable rights; it should not be interpreted as a promise that every preseason game is available everywhere.

Live audio
Live audio for every game is one of NFL+’s most useful features. It suits commuters, travelers, and fans who listen while working. The service lists home, away, and national audio options where supported. Details are available in the NFL’s live-game availability guide.
What NFL+ does not include
- Every out-of-market Sunday-afternoon regular-season game.
- A complete NFL Sunday Ticket replacement.
- Live local and primetime NFL+ streams on a television when those streams are restricted to mobile devices.
- Every NFL game through one subscription.
- Automatic access to games carried exclusively by another network or streaming service.
Game distribution can involve CBS, FOX, NBC, ESPN/ABC, Amazon Prime Video, NFL Network, YouTube, Netflix, and other rights holders. The correct service depends on the game, week, broadcast arrangement, and location. Check the NFL’s current live-game access information before assuming NFL+ carries a particular matchup.

Can you watch NFL+ on a TV?
It depends on the content. The device restriction applies to the live local and primetime game streams: those are limited to supported mobile devices because of broadcast-rights rules. Having the NFL app on a television does not override that restriction.
NFL Network, RedZone, and Premium replay content may be available through supported televisions and connected devices. Compatibility varies by platform, model, operating system, and app version. The NFL describes access across mobile, computer, smart-TV, and connected-device platforms, but a supported device does not guarantee that every type of content is available on it. Consult the NFL’s device and content guidance.
Do not assume that HDMI output, AirPlay, Chromecast, or screen mirroring will reliably bypass the mobile restriction. Casting behavior can vary, and the official content restriction still applies.

What does NFL+ Premium’s replay library include?
- Full-game replays: the best option when you want the complete game after it has ended.
- Condensed games: a shorter way to review a matchup without every stoppage.
- All-22 coaches film: a wide tactical viewing angle that shows the entire field and is useful for studying formations, assignments, and play development.
- NFL RedZone: live Sunday-afternoon whiparound coverage showing scoring opportunities across games, rather than a complete broadcast of one matchup.
- NFL Pro: football-analysis and position-focused content, subject to the product’s current presentation.
Premium includes the replay formats and features listed by the NFL. That does not necessarily mean every possible RedZone replay or every historical game is permanently archived.

NFL Sunday Ticket is designed for out-of-market Sunday-afternoon regular-season games. It is a separate product whose availability, packages, promotions, and pricing can change by season and distributor. NFL+ Premium is not a cheaper version of Sunday Ticket if your main goal is watching an out-of-market team’s Sunday games live.
NFL+ compared with network subscriptions
For a particular game, identify its rights holder first:
- Local Sunday game: usually determined by the local CBS or FOX broadcast market.
- Sunday Night Football: the applicable NBC/Peacock arrangement.
- Monday Night Football: the applicable ESPN/ABC arrangement.
- Thursday Night Football: the applicable Amazon Prime Video arrangement.
- Special games: Christmas and other games may be assigned to a specific rights holder, including Netflix or another service.
- Out-of-market Sunday afternoon: generally a Sunday Ticket question.
Do not subscribe to every service listed above automatically. Use the official NFL schedule and the provider’s current programming page for the exact game and market.

Premium was $8 more per month or $50 more per season than the base plan. Taxes may apply, and billing through Apple, Android, Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire, PayPal, or another third party may involve additional fees.
Subscriptions automatically renew until canceled at the then-current price. Sign up and manage the service through NFL.com/plus or the NFL app. Cancel through the same billing channel used to subscribe, and check the terms shown at checkout.
U.S. NFL+ is available in the United States only and excludes U.S. territories. International rights are different; viewers outside the United States should check the NFL’s local distribution options, including DAZN where applicable.

- People who listen to games while commuting, traveling, or working.
- Fans who want NFL Network, preseason coverage, and NFL programming.
- Casual viewers who do not need every out-of-market game.
- Fantasy players interested in the included roster and waiver tools.
NFL+ Premium is a good fit for
- RedZone viewers who want a focused football subscription.
- Fans who watch games after they are played.
- Coaches, analysts, fantasy players, and serious fans who value All-22 film.
- Viewers who want supported-TV access to RedZone or replay content.
NFL+ is a poor fit for
- Anyone expecting every NFL game live on a television.
- Fans following an out-of-market team every Sunday.
- Households seeking a complete one-subscription NFL solution.
- Viewers outside the United States or in a U.S. territory.
Common problems and misconceptions
“I paid for NFL+ but cannot watch the game on my TV.”
The game may be a live local or primetime stream restricted to mobile devices. Confirm the content type before troubleshooting the television app.

Check the plan, device type, location, market restrictions, app version, subscription account, and billing platform. A third-party purchase may also need to synchronize with the NFL account. If you are outside the United States, U.S. NFL+ access is not available.

“NFL+ means all NFL games.”
It does not. NFL+ is a rights-limited service with specific live-game categories, plus audio, NFL Network, preseason, and other content.
“Premium means every live game on every screen.”
It does not. Premium adds RedZone and replays, but it does not remove the mobile restriction on live local and primetime NFL+ streams.
“NFL+ and international NFL Game Pass are the same product.”
They are not interchangeable worldwide. U.S. NFL+ and international NFL offerings operate under different rights arrangements and availability rules.

NFL+ is a relatively inexpensive add-on for mobile local and primetime viewing, NFL Network, live audio, preseason games, and NFL programming. Premium makes sense when RedZone or replay features are the reason you are subscribing. If you expect every live NFL game—especially out-of-market Sunday-afternoon games—on your television, NFL+ is the wrong product to buy alone.
