The best full-weekend binge was The Witcher season 4 on Netflix, but the October 31–November 2, 2025 lineup also included a dark British mystery, an experimental Star Wars anthology, two Sunday-night premieres and five very different movies. This is a historical U.S. streaming snapshot; platform availability is not guaranteed for readers checking it later.
This is a historical U.S. streaming snapshot for Friday, October 31 through Sunday, November 2, 2025—not a guarantee that all 11 titles are still on the same services today. During that weekend, the biggest television arrival was The Witcher season 4 on Netflix, while new movies including Hedda, Jurassic World Rebirth and Sorry, Baby gave viewers very different ways to spend the first weekend after Halloween.
The list below separates shows already available during the weekend from titles scheduled to premiere on Sunday, November 2. Platform catalogs, branding, subscription requirements and regional availability can change, so check the service in your country before planning a marathon.

Geralt, Yennefer and Ciri remain separated after the events of season 3, giving the new chapter three connected but distinct storylines to develop. The season also introduces Laurence Fishburne as Regis, a character with an important place in the wider Witcher mythology. Netflix describes season 4 as the penultimate chapter of the series and currently represents the show as having four seasons.
The practical question for returning viewers is whether the recast can preserve Geralt’s identity while allowing Hemsworth to make the role his own. That makes season 4 a natural choice for fans curious about a new era of the show—not just viewers looking for another conventional fantasy binge.
Best for: fantasy fans, established Witcher viewers and anyone interested in how a major series handles a lead-role transition.
Optional source-material follow-on: If the new season sends you back to the books, browse The Witcher book series as a separate way to explore the novels behind the adaptation. Editions, sellers, prices and availability vary, so verify those details before buying.

2. Down Cemetery Road — Apple TV+
This darkly comic mystery begins with a house exploding in suburban Oxford and a girl disappearing. Art restorer Sarah Trafford becomes involved in the search and investigates alongside private investigator Zoë Boehm. Episodes 1 through 3 were available during the featured weekend.
The series is adapted from Mick Herron’s work and written for television by Morwenna Banks. That combination points toward an investigation driven as much by personality, dry humor and institutional awkwardness as by conventional clue-solving. Viewers who enjoy the British intrigue and mordant comedy associated with Slow Horses are the clearest audience for this one.
Best for: viewers who want a British mystery with an offbeat tone rather than a straightforward police procedural.
3. I Love LA — HBO/HBO Max
I Love LA was scheduled to begin on Sunday, November 2, at 10:30 p.m. Eastern Time, with Rachel Sennott playing Maia, an aspiring talent manager trying to navigate Los Angeles’s influencer economy.

- TV, simplified: With setup that only takes minutes, a simple-to-navigate Home Screen, and an uncluttered remote control that does all you need—Roku makes it easier to watch the TV you love.
Maia’s professional ambitions are tangled up with friendship, status and the pressure to perform a version of success online. The comedy’s target is not simply Los Angeles or social media; it is the insecurity underneath a culture built around personal branding. Expect an uncomfortable, contemporary series about people trying to turn visibility into a career.
Best for: viewers who prefer sharp, awkward comedy about ambition, online identity and professional anxiety.
4. Robin Hood — MGM+
The latest version of the familiar outlaw story was scheduled to launch on Sunday, November 2, with its first two episodes at 9 p.m. Eastern Time. Jack Patten plays Rob, who becomes a rebel leader, while Lauren McQueen’s Marian works within royal circles.
That split gives the series two routes into the legend: open resistance in the forest and political maneuvering inside the court. Sean Bean plays the Sheriff of Nottingham and Connie Nielsen plays Queen Eleanor, adding recognizable supporting performers to the romantic historical adventure.
Best for: viewers looking for a new Robin Hood story with romance, political conflict and accessible period adventure.
5. Star Wars: Visions volume 3 — Disney+
The third volume of Star Wars: Visions offers nine animated shorts from nine Japanese studios. Rather than extending one continuous plot, the anthology uses the Star Wars universe as a creative starting point for separate visual and narrative experiments.
The result is better suited to viewers who enjoy interpretation and atmosphere than to anyone seeking a single essential chapter in live-action continuity. Anime influences, different animation approaches and standalone storytelling are the point. The voice cast includes Simu Liu, Stephanie Hsu, Anna Sawai and Steve Buscemi.
Best for: Star Wars fans who want unusual animation, self-contained stories and fresh takes on familiar mythology.

6. Selling Sunset season 9 — Netflix
All 10 episodes of season 9 were available during the weekend, bringing the Oppenheim Group agents back for another combination of luxury listings, fashion and interpersonal conflict. Sandra Vergara joins the cast as a new agent.
This is the most straightforward comfort-binge on the television side of the list. The properties provide the glossy backdrop, but the continuing cast relationships and workplace drama supply the momentum. It is a useful choice when you want reality television that can run in the background—or consume an entire afternoon—without requiring the concentration of a serialized thriller.
Best for: reality-TV viewers who want expensive homes, high-fashion presentation and ensemble drama.

7. Ballad of a Small Player — Netflix
Colin Farrell stars as Lord Doyle, a gambler in Macau attempting to outrun debts and personal ghosts. Fala Chen and Tilda Swinton also have key roles, while Edward Berger directs following Conclave.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesThe premise suggests a stylish, inward-looking drama rather than a conventional gambling thriller. Its central tension comes from a man trying to escape the consequences of his past, with Macau’s casinos providing the setting and pressure cooker. Choose this when you want mood, performance and psychological unease more than fast action.
Best for: viewers in the mood for a slow-burn character study with an elegant visual surface.
8. Hedda — Prime Video
Nia DaCosta’s Hedda is a modern film adaptation of Henrik Ibsen’s play Hedda Gabler, not a filmed version of the original stage production. Tessa Thompson plays Hedda, with Imogen Poots and Tom Bateman also starring. Prime Video identifies it as a 2025 drama with a runtime of 1 hour and 48 minutes.
The story unfolds over one charged night of manipulation, desire and betrayal. Its contained setup makes it a strong pick for viewers who enjoy literary adaptations and chamber dramas in which shifting power between a small group of characters matters more than spectacle.

Best for: audiences who want a high-conflict psychological drama built around performance, dialogue and social pressure.
9. Jurassic World Rebirth — Peacock
Set five years after Jurassic World Dominion, Jurassic World Rebirth follows an extraction team and a civilian family confronting surviving dinosaurs on an equatorial island. Scarlett Johansson leads the cast, alongside Mahershala Ali and Jonathan Bailey.
This is the weekend’s clearest choice for accessible franchise spectacle. The setup combines a mission-driven action story with the more vulnerable perspective of a family caught in the same dangerous environment. You do not need a quiet, intimate viewing mood here: the appeal is creatures, peril and a recognizable blockbuster cast.
Best for: viewers who want a broad creature-feature adventure and an easy group-watch option.

10. Sorry, Baby — HBO Max
Eva Victor writes, directs and stars as Agnes, a literature professor dealing with the aftermath of a traumatic assault and the arrival of life-changing news from a close friend.
The film is not best understood as a conventional trauma drama. Its tone also makes room for absurd humor, friendship and the uneven process of emotional recovery. That balance is central to its identity: the painful parts matter, but Agnes is not reduced to what happened to her.
Content note: the film deals with sexual assault and its aftermath. Viewers should choose it with that subject matter in mind.
Best for: audiences seeking intimate independent cinema that can be emotionally difficult while still making space for humor and human connection.

11. Wonka — Netflix
Timothée Chalamet plays a young Willy Wonka in this musical prequel, which leans into elaborate production design, choreography and a bright, classic-Hollywood-style presentation. Hugh Grant appears as an Oompa-Loompa.
It is the most family-friendly diversion in the movie group and a useful counterweight to the darker mysteries and dramas elsewhere on the list. The film’s appeal is rooted in its musical format, colorful world and familiar character—not in a direct continuation of the original Gene Wilder film.
Best for: families and adults who want an upbeat musical with a storybook visual style.
