MeTV’s live schedule is local, not universal. To see the correct listings, select your market or enter your ZIP code on MeTV’s official schedule or Where to Watch page, then confirm the affiliate, provider, and time zone. Channel numbers and streaming availability can change by location.
How to check the correct MeTV schedule
MeTV does not have one universal daily schedule for every viewer. Its listings are organized around your local market, affiliate, provider, time zone, and sometimes channel. To see what is actually airing where you live, open the official “What’s On MeTV?” schedule, confirm the displayed station and market, and change the location if necessary.
- Open MeTV’s official schedule page.
- Check the market, station, and channel shown at the top of the listings.
- Use the location or customization control if the site has selected the wrong area.
- Enter your ZIP code through MeTV’s location or Where to Watch tool.
- Select your television provider when that option is available.
- Confirm the time zone before setting a reminder or sharing a program time.
The schedule page typically shows what is “On MeTV Now,” the next program, the full local grid, featured episodes, episode descriptions, and a printable schedule. Because affiliates can alter the lineup, the official location-specific listing is more reliable than a national schedule copied into an article.
Why MeTV listings differ by location
MeTV is distributed through local broadcast affiliates rather than one identical nationwide channel. The same network may appear on a different over-the-air subchannel, cable channel, satellite channel, or streaming package depending on the market.

For example, an official market listing may show MeTV on KLWY 27.3 in the Cheyenne, Wyoming area, while another may show it on KCCI 8.2 in the Des Moines–Ames market. Those channel numbers are examples of local listings—not national channel assignments.
Provider listings can differ as well. A market may list an over-the-air channel alongside cable, satellite, and streaming services, with each service using a different channel number or package. Never assume that a channel number found for one city will work in another.
Find MeTV by ZIP code
The fastest way to avoid an incorrect listing is to use MeTV’s official Where to Watch lookup and enter your ZIP code or select your market.
What to check in the results
- Local affiliate: This is the station that carries MeTV in your area.
- Over-the-air channel: Often shown as a digital subchannel, such as 8.2 or 27.3.
- Cable or satellite provider: Channel numbers and availability depend on the provider and market.
- Streaming provider: The service may require a particular live-TV package, and availability can change.
- Time zone: Use the time zone displayed for your selected market or provider.
If you watch through cable, satellite, or a live-TV streaming service, select that provider when MeTV offers the option. MeTV says provider selection produces the most accurate schedule for that service. This matters because a provider may carry a local feed or use a schedule that does not precisely match another distribution method.
Where can you watch MeTV?
Over the air with an antenna
Where a local affiliate broadcasts MeTV, you may be able to receive it free with an antenna. This is generally the simplest option for viewers who live within reliable range of the station’s signal and do not need cable or streaming access.
An indoor TV antenna can be appropriate for some homes, but reception is not guaranteed by the network or by the antenna category alone. Results depend on your distance from the transmitter, terrain, building materials, antenna placement, the antenna itself, and the television’s tuner. An outdoor antenna may be more suitable in difficult reception conditions, but the correct choice is location-specific.

Check MeTV’s local lookup and the FCC’s digital-TV coverage resources for your address or ZIP code before buying equipment. Do not treat a “free with antenna” listing as proof that every address in the market will receive a stable signal.
Cable and satellite
MeTV’s official provider lookup may list local cable systems, DirecTV, DISH, and other distributors. Channel numbers and package requirements vary by market. Use the lookup for your ZIP code, then confirm the channel in your provider’s current guide.

Live-TV streaming services
MeTV’s market listings may include services such as DirecTV Stream, Frndly TV, Philo TV, Fubo, or Sling. The services shown—and whether MeTV is included in a particular package—can vary by location and change over time.
If you want to stream MeTV, verify three things before subscribing:
- That the service currently carries the base MeTV network in your ZIP code.
- That your chosen package includes the channel.
- That the service’s local feed and schedule match the programs you want to watch.
MeTV’s website should not be described as a universal free live stream. Its official schedule page is a listings and “what’s on now” resource; the Where to Watch page directs viewers to local broadcast, pay-TV, and third-party streaming distribution.
MeTV versus MeTV+
MeTV and MeTV+ are separate television networks with separate schedules. A listing for the base MeTV network does not automatically tell you what is airing on MeTV+ or prove that your local provider carries both.

MeTV+ is available on select broadcast stations and may also be offered through listed streaming services. Its official schedule has its own program grid, time-zone controls, provider information, and Find Near You tool.

How to read the MeTV schedule
Once the correct market is selected, use the schedule in this order:
- Start with “On MeTV Now.” This identifies the program currently listed for your selected location.
- Check the next program. This is useful when deciding whether to tune in immediately or set a recording.
- Open the full schedule. Review the date, program title, and episode information.
- Read the episode description. Descriptions can distinguish episodes when a show airs repeatedly.
- Confirm the date and time zone. A time without a market and time zone can be misleading.
- Use the printable schedule. The official page provides a printable option for readers who want a compact reference.
Programs shown on the homepage—such as M*A*S*H, The Andy Griffith Show, The Golden Girls, Everybody Loves Raymond, and Collector’s Call—are examples of programming that may appear in current listings, not a permanent promise of a particular weekly lineup. Schedules and featured episodes are time-sensitive.
Record MeTV programs with an antenna
If you receive MeTV over the air and want to save episodes, an OTA DVR can record the broadcast signal for later viewing. Compatibility depends on the DVR, antenna signal, television setup, storage, and whether the device supports your local broadcast standard and recording method.
Before choosing one, confirm that it can:
- Receive and record over-the-air digital broadcasts;
- Work with your television or streaming setup;
- Provide the guide data or scheduling method you want;
- Record the local MeTV subchannel received by your antenna; and
- Store enough programs for your viewing habits.
A DVR cannot compensate for a weak or unavailable signal. First verify that MeTV reception is reliable at your address, then choose recording equipment that supports your setup.

MeTV not showing up? Try an antenna rescan
Over-the-air viewers may need to rescan their television when a station launches, transmission equipment changes, or the television’s stored channel information is out of date. Cable and satellite viewers generally do not need to rescan; this procedure is primarily for antenna reception.
Normal rescan procedure
- Connect the antenna securely to the television or tuner.
- Open the television’s settings menu.
- Look for a menu such as Channels, Broadcast, Channel setup, or Auto program.
- Choose Channel scan, Auto scan, or the equivalent option.
- Select antenna, air, or broadcast—not cable—when the television asks for the signal type.
- Allow the scan to finish, then check the digital subchannels in the channel list.
Menu names vary by television manufacturer. A successful scan updates the channels available to that tuner; it does not guarantee that a MeTV signal reaches your address.

If a normal scan does not find MeTV
MeTV’s antenna guidance recommends this additional sequence:
- Disconnect the antenna from the television.
- Run another channel scan with no antenna connected.
- Turn the television off and power-cycle it.
- Reconnect the antenna.
- Run the channel scan again.
If MeTV is still missing, check that you selected the correct market, confirm the local affiliate, inspect the antenna cable and connections, and try repositioning the antenna. Terrain, distance, walls, windows, and nearby interference can all affect reception. Consult address-based digital-TV coverage information before concluding that the television or antenna is defective.

For a paper reference, select the official schedule page’s printable schedule option after setting the correct market. Print only after verifying the affiliate, provider, date range, and time zone. A printed grid can become outdated when the network or local station changes programming, so use it as a snapshot rather than a permanent national timetable.

Can I watch MeTV free with an antenna?
Possibly. Where a local affiliate carries MeTV, viewers may receive it free over the air with an antenna. Reception depends on the address, transmitter distance, terrain, building, antenna placement, and television equipment.
Is MeTV+ the same as MeTV?
No. MeTV+ is a separate network with its own schedule, stations, providers, and location tool. Check the dedicated MeTV+ listings rather than assuming your MeTV channel carries it.
Do I need to rescan my TV to find MeTV?
Usually not. Rescanning is primarily for over-the-air viewers. Cable and satellite customers generally should check the provider guide or contact the provider instead.
Does MeTV offer a universal free live stream?
Not necessarily. The schedule page is an official listings and “what’s on now” resource. Live viewing availability depends on a local broadcast affiliate or a participating cable, satellite, or streaming provider in your market.
