Not necessarily. YouTube TV is not a guaranteed way to watch the live Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (NFR). Its channel lineup varies by ZIP code, and the official NFR viewing information points fans to The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy+ for coverage.
If you already subscribe to YouTube TV, search its live guide for “The Cowboy Channel” and then look for the NFR event listing. If the channel is unavailable in your area, the most direct official streaming option is Cowboy+, which advertises live and on-demand coverage of all 10 days of the 2026 NFR.
When is the 2026 NFR?
The 2026 Wrangler NFR is scheduled for December 3–12, 2026, at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. The event runs for 10 consecutive days. Check the final official schedule for each performance’s start time, since pre-show programming and daily times can change.

Does YouTube TV carry the NFR?
YouTube TV is a U.S. live-TV streaming service with more than 100 channels on its main plan, plus cloud DVR and access on televisions, streaming devices, phones, tablets, and computers. However, Google says that channel availability depends on the viewer’s location.
The official information reviewed for the NFR does not establish The Cowboy Channel as a standard nationwide YouTube TV channel. That means it would be inaccurate to say that every YouTube TV subscriber can watch the NFR.
YouTube TV may still be useful for other live sports and television channels, or as one of the apps running on your television. It should not be treated as the confirmed nationwide home of the NFR broadcast.
How to check YouTube TV before the NFR
- Open the YouTube TV app and go to Search or the Live guide.
- Search for “The Cowboy Channel.” The result you see is based on your account’s local lineup and ZIP code.
- If the channel appears, search for “Wrangler NFR,” “National Finals Rodeo,” and “Rodeo Las Vegas.”
- Open the event listing and verify the network, dates, and scheduled start time.
- If no result appears, do not assume that upgrading to a YouTube TV sports plan will add The Cowboy Channel. The available official information does not verify that a plan upgrade is a solution.
Perform this check close to the event. Local channel lineups and program listings can change, and a general YouTube TV channel list is not a substitute for checking your own account.

The official streaming alternative: Cowboy+
If The Cowboy Channel is not available through your YouTube TV lineup, Cowboy+ is the clearest direct streaming route identified by the official NFR materials. Its current service information advertises the 2026 Wrangler NFR live and on demand, including all 10 days of coverage.
You can use a Cowboy+ subscription through its website or app rather than relying on YouTube TV. Cowboy+ currently describes a monthly plan and an NFR subscription option, but prices, plan names, promotions, and event-access terms are subject to change. Confirm the current offer at checkout before subscribing.
The official NFR information also identifies The Cowboy Channel as the associated 24-hour Western-sports network. Programming such as Rodeo Live is described as airing on The Cowboy Channel and Cowboy+, making those services more relevant to NFR coverage than ordinary YouTube videos or highlights.
YouTube TV, The Cowboy Channel, and Cowboy+: what each one does
| Service | What it is | How it relates to the NFR |
|---|---|---|
| YouTube TV | A general live-TV streaming service | May carry The Cowboy Channel in some locations; check your ZIP-code-specific guide |
| The Cowboy Channel | A Western-sports television network | The broadcast network associated with NFR coverage |
| Cowboy+ | A direct streaming service for Western sports and rodeo programming | Advertises live and on-demand access to the 2026 NFR |
What device do you need?
You do not need a special NFR receiver. You need a compatible television, streaming device, phone, tablet, or computer and the appropriate app or website.

- See movies and TV shows from all your services right from your home screen[2]; and find new things to watch with tailored recommendations for everyone in your home based on their interests and viewing habits
- Watch live TV and access over 800 free channels from Pluto TV, Tubi, and more[3]; if you find an interesting show or movie on your TV, mobile app, or Google search, you can easily add it to your watchlist, so it’s ready when you are[2]
- Up to 4K HDR with Dolby Vision delivers captivating, true-to-life detail[4]; and you can connect speakers that support Dolby Atmos for more immersive 3D sound
Cowboy+ lists support for platforms including Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Android TV, Apple TV/tvOS, iOS, Android, and web browsers. YouTube TV separately supports platforms including Fire TV, Roku, Google TV, Apple TV, gaming consoles, and many smart-TV systems.
If your television does not support either app, a Fire TV Stick 4K Max can serve as a compatible streaming device for running YouTube TV and Cowboy+. The device only provides access to the apps; it does not include a YouTube TV membership, a Cowboy+ subscription, or NFR viewing rights.
Do not assume that the “4K” in a device name means the 2026 NFR will be available in 4K. The reviewed information confirms device compatibility, not a 2026 NFR-specific 4K stream.
How to watch on a television
- Install the YouTube TV app or the Cowboy+ app on your smart TV or streaming device.
- Sign in to the correct service account.
- For YouTube TV, search for The Cowboy Channel and the NFR listing.
- For Cowboy+, open the service’s live schedule or NFR section and select the live event when it becomes available.
- Test the app, internet connection, and account access before December 3 rather than waiting for the opening performance.
The regular YouTube app, the YouTube TV app, and the Cowboy+ app are separate. A streaming stick can place all of them on the same television, but installing an app does not provide a subscription to that service.

Can you watch the NFR free on YouTube?
Free YouTube clips and highlights are not the same as the complete live NFR broadcast. Do not rely on ordinary YouTube search results for all 10 live performances unless an official broadcaster specifically announces that arrangement.
Best option by situation
- The Cowboy Channel appears in your YouTube TV guide: confirm the NFR listing, dates, and time, then use YouTube TV if the event is scheduled there.
- The channel does not appear: use the official Cowboy+ website or app and check its current NFR plan and price.
- You want live and on-demand access: Cowboy+ is the service identified as offering both for the 2026 NFR.
- Your TV cannot install either app: use a supported streaming device such as a Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, or another listed platform.
- You already use YouTube TV for other sports: keep it for those channels, but do not assume it includes the NFR.
Bottom line
You cannot count on YouTube TV alone to watch the NFR. Search your local YouTube TV guide for The Cowboy Channel first. If it is missing, use Cowboy+, which officially advertises live and on-demand coverage of the 2026 Wrangler NFR from December 3–12. A Fire TV Stick, Roku, Apple TV, or compatible smart-TV platform can run the necessary app, but the hardware does not include either subscription.
