TiviMate IPTV Player is a TV-focused IPTV player, not an IPTV service. Install the official app on compatible Android TV or Google TV hardware, then add your own lawful M3U, Xtream Codes, or Stalker Portal playlist. TiviMate supplies the interface and playback features; it does not supply channels or a subscription.
What TiviMate does—and what it does not do
TiviMate IPTV Player is a large-screen media player for compatible Android TV-style devices. It can organize and play IPTV playlists supplied by the user, including M3U, Xtream Codes, and Stalker Portal sources. It can also provide features such as an electronic program guide (EPG), favorites, search, catch-up, recording, parental controls, multiple playlists, and multiview. The official listing warns that the app is not optimized for phones or tablets.
TiviMate does not include television channels, a video-on-demand catalog, or an IPTV subscription. You must add a playlist from a provider or another lawful source, and you are responsible for having the right to watch or record that content. Paying for TiviMate Premium unlocks player features; it does not provide streams or channels.
For the safest setup, install the player from Google Play on a compatible Android TV or Google TV device. If Google Play is unavailable, use only the APK supplied through TiviMate’s official APK page. Avoid unofficial APK mirrors and sellers offering “TiviMate channels” or “TiviMate Premium” bundled with an IPTV service.

Before installing TiviMate
- Use a supported large-screen device. TiviMate is designed for Android TV-style interfaces, not ordinary Android phones or tablets.
- Have a lawful playlist ready. TiviMate is empty until you add an M3U, Xtream Codes, or Stalker Portal source.
- Keep your provider details private. Playlist URLs, usernames, passwords, and portal addresses can provide access to your account.
- Check your Fire TV model carefully. Fire TV uses Amazon’s Fire OS rather than standard Android TV. Android-based Fire TV generations may support the APK route, but compatibility is model- and OS-version-dependent. Some newer Fire TV products use different operating systems, including Vega OS on certain 2025–2026 models.
- Plan for storage if you intend to record. Recording depends on the device, permissions, available storage, filesystem behavior, source restrictions, and local rules—not just on whether the TiviMate menu contains a Record option.
How to install TiviMate on Android TV or Google TV
Option 1: Install from Google Play
- Open the Google Play Store on the Android TV or Google TV device.
- Search for TiviMate IPTV Player.
- Check that the developer is Armobsoft FZE. This helps distinguish the official player from similarly named applications.
- Select Install and wait for the download to finish.
- Open TiviMate and proceed to the playlist screen.
This is normally the cleanest installation route because the device handles the application package and updates through its app store. The exact listing, availability, and displayed update information can vary by region and device.
Option 2: Install the official APK
Use this route when the Play Store is unavailable or the device does not expose the official listing. TiviMate’s official website provides the APK at tivimate.com/apk and documents a Downloader method using code 272483 on supported devices.
- Install the Downloader app through the device’s approved app store, if it is available.
- Open Downloader and enter the official TiviMate code 272483, or enter the official APK address directly as documented by TiviMate.
- Download the APK only from the official TiviMate domain.
- If the device asks for permission to install from that source, allow it temporarily for Downloader or the relevant installer.
- Install TiviMate, then remove the installation permission or disable it again when finished.
- Open the app and add your playlist.
The official site states that its direct version receives automatic updates and has fewer restrictions. That does not make every Android-based device compatible, however. If the APK refuses to install, crashes, or cannot display correctly, confirm the device’s operating system and architecture rather than repeatedly downloading APK files from random sites.
What about Fire TV?
Fire TV is not interchangeable with Android TV. Amazon documents differences between Fire TV and Android TV, and the operating system can vary across Fire TV generations. Older or compatible Android-based Fire TV hardware may be able to install TiviMate through the official Downloader/APK route, but you should verify the exact model before buying hardware or enabling sideloading.

Do not assume that every current Fire TV product will run an Android TV APK. In particular, newer products using a different operating system may not support this installation path.
If you are buying hardware specifically for TiviMate, a compatible Android TV streaming device is the more straightforward choice because the app is designed for that environment. Confirm the current device operating system and app availability before purchasing.

How to add a playlist
After installation, TiviMate has no channels until you add a source. Obtain the playlist from a lawful provider or another source that has permission to distribute the content. TiviMate’s official terms make clear that the player does not host, supply, or distribute the media.
- Open TiviMate and choose the option to add a playlist.
- Select the format your provider supplied: M3U, Xtream Codes, or Stalker Portal.
- Enter the requested information exactly. Depending on the format, this may include an M3U URL, portal address, username, password, or other credentials.
- Submit the details and wait for the channel groups and playlist data to load.
- If your provider supplies a separate EPG or XMLTV address, add it through the EPG settings.
- Test one live channel before changing decoder, buffer, recording, or other advanced settings.
Menu wording can differ between app builds and devices, so treat the labels as approximate rather than permanent. The important distinction is the playlist format and the credentials or URL supplied by the source.

Support for a format does not guarantee that every provider’s implementation will behave identically. If you are unsure which format to choose, ask the lawful provider which format and exact values it supports.
EPG setup: why the guide may be empty
An EPG is separate data that maps programme information to channels. Some providers include it in the playlist; others supply a separate XMLTV or EPG URL. If the guide is blank or shows the wrong programmes:
- Confirm whether the provider supplied a separate EPG address.
- Re-enter the address carefully and reload the EPG.
- Reload the playlist as well, especially if channels were recently renamed.
- Check that the EPG source’s channel names or IDs match the playlist.
- Test again after the provider confirms that its guide service is operating.
TiviMate Premium does not create guide data. The app can display and organize EPG information, but the provider or source must supply accurate listings.
TiviMate Premium and TiviMate Companion explained
TiviMate Premium is an optional app purchase that unlocks player features. The official terms describe a one-time lifetime purchase and auto-renewing subscription options, with plans and prices shown at the time of purchase. There is no single universal price to quote because the amount can vary by purchase surface, billing period, and region.

TiviMate Companion is not the player. It is a separate official application intended to unlock Premium functionality on devices without Google Play and to manage activated devices. The player displays the playlist; Companion handles the relevant activation or device-management task.
If Premium does not appear after purchase:
- Confirm that you installed TiviMate IPTV Player, not only Companion.
- Use the same account or activation method associated with the purchase.
- Check whether Companion is needed for your device’s purchase path.
- Do not buy a supposed TiviMate Premium upgrade from an IPTV provider or unofficial seller. App access and channel access are separate products.
Common TiviMate problems and fixes
The app cannot be found in the app store
First identify the device and operating system. Confirm whether it is Android TV, Google TV, or a Fire TV model with a compatible Android application path. If Google Play is unavailable, use the official APK route rather than an unofficial mirror. On Fire TV, the precise model matters; a solution that works on an older Android-based stick may not work on a newer device with a different operating system.
TiviMate opens but shows no channels
This usually means that no playlist has been added or that the playlist did not load. TiviMate does not supply channels automatically. Check that:
- You selected the correct playlist format.
- The URL, portal address, username, and password are exact.
- Capitalization, punctuation, and trailing characters have not changed.
- The provider account and subscription are still active.
- The provider has not disabled or replaced the playlist address.
The playlist will not load
Test the same lawful credentials only in another compatible player or through the provider’s own documented troubleshooting process. Never post the URL or credentials publicly.

- If it works elsewhere but not in TiviMate, check for a malformed entry, unsupported provider behavior, an outdated app build, or device-specific compatibility.
- If only one playlist fails while another works, focus on that provider’s URL and account rather than changing every TiviMate setting.
The app buffers or freezes
Use a controlled comparison instead of immediately changing multiple settings:
- Try another channel from the same source.
- Try the same lawful source in another compatible player.
- Test the device on another network, if possible.
- Restart the app, device, router, and—if relevant—network equipment.
- Check Wi-Fi signal, router load, ISP connectivity, device storage, and the app’s state.
- Change only one decoder or buffer setting at a time, and record the original value before doing so.
If one channel fails while others play, the channel source or provider is more likely to be at fault. If every channel fails, investigate the network, account, device, or application. If video freezes while audio continues, testing another decoder may help, but recent user reports describe this symptom only anecdotally; they do not establish a universal TiviMate defect.

For a Fire TV Stick-style setup with unstable Wi-Fi, a Fire TV-compatible Ethernet adapter can provide a wired network path where the hardware supports it. An adapter cannot fix an expired playlist, a provider outage, or a damaged stream; it only helps isolate or improve the local network connection.
The guide is inaccurate
Reload both the playlist and EPG, then verify that the provider’s EPG channel identifiers match the playlist. Incorrect or stale guide data usually comes from the source, naming mismatch, or an outdated EPG—not from the absence of Premium.

Recording is an app feature, but playback and recording have different requirements. Check available storage, app permissions, the selected recording location, filesystem behavior, and whether the source permits the operation. Device and operating-system restrictions can also apply.
Fire TV users should be especially cautious about regional and platform restrictions. Amazon documents restrictions concerning the distribution of Fire TV apps that enable copying, recording, downloading, or storing video or audio in Germany and Austria. Do not assume that recording behaves identically across devices or countries, and record only content you are legally permitted to record.
Premium did not activate
Verify the player, account, purchase path, and activation method in that order. Make sure you are not confusing the Companion app with the player, and allow time for the correct account to synchronize if the purchase was just completed. If the problem persists, use the official app support route before clearing app data.

- Identify the hardware: model, operating system, and installation source.
- Verify the content source: it should be lawful and currently active.
- Re-enter the playlist: check every URL, portal value, username, password, and character.
- Reload the playlist and EPG: do this separately if the guide is the only problem.
- Compare results: another channel, another lawful player, or another network can reveal whether the fault is local or provider-side.
- Restart the basics: app, device, router, and network connection.
- Check storage and permissions: particularly for recording and large playlist operations.
- Adjust one advanced setting: decoder or buffer changes should be reversible and documented.
- Check official support information: do this before uninstalling or clearing app data.
Uninstalling the app or clearing its data can remove locally stored playlist configuration. Preserve the provider’s original details first, and never store them in a public note or screenshot.

Legal and safety note
TiviMate is a playback and organization tool, not a source of television programming. Use playlists and recordings only when you own the content, have a valid licence or subscription, or are otherwise legally permitted to access and record it in your location. The official terms place responsibility for added content on the user and prohibit unauthorized streaming or downloading of copyrighted material.
If you need a playlist, look for a lawful IPTV provider or licensed live-TV service that clearly explains its rights, coverage, geography, device support, and EPG availability. No provider is recommended here because licensing and availability require current, region-specific verification.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does TiviMate come with channels?
No. TiviMate does not provide channels, live TV, or video-on-demand content. You must add a playlist from a lawful provider or another authorized source.
What is the difference between TiviMate and TiviMate Companion?
TiviMate IPTV Player plays and organizes playlists. TiviMate Companion is a separate official app used for Premium activation and device management on relevant devices; it does not play channels by itself.
