Digital rental and purchase options
Amazon Video
JustWatch’s U.S. listing identified Amazon Video as an option to rent or buy Abigail. Amazon’s title page identifies the correct 2024 Universal film and also displays physical Blu-ray and DVD formats. If you search Amazon, use the full title and year—“Abigail (2024)”—to avoid similarly named movies.

#1 Best Overall
The researched JustWatch snapshot showed a $3.99 rental price on Amazon Video, but that is not a permanent price. Retailers can change rental and purchase prices based on location, resolution, promotions, taxes, and account conditions.
Apple TV Store
The Apple TV Store was also listed for both rental and purchase. Apple’s U.S. listing confirms that this is the 2024 horror film from Universal Pictures, rated R, with a 109-minute runtime. Check the title, rating, year, and cast before paying, particularly if search results include other films called Abigail.
Fandango At Home
Fandango At Home was listed as another digital rental and purchase option, and Rotten Tomatoes also directed viewers to Fandango for the film. Fandango At Home’s digital movie storefront should not be confused with Fandango’s separate movie-ticket and showtimes pages.
Spectrum On Demand
JustWatch listed Spectrum On Demand as a rental route. This option is account- and market-dependent, so Spectrum subscribers should search within their own On Demand catalog before relying on it. The listing does not establish that the film is included at no additional cost with every Spectrum plan.
Rank #2
Is Abigail on a subscription streaming service?
A stable current subscription stream was not confirmed in the U.S. availability check. In particular, do not assume that Abigail is currently included with Peacock, Netflix, Hulu, Max, or another service based on older articles or 2024 release reports.
Older coverage may have discussed a possible or temporary Peacock window, but those reports do not prove present-day availability. The current evidence used for this guide supports digital rental, digital purchase, and physical-media options—not a guaranteed subscription-included stream or free streaming option.
Can you buy Abigail on Blu-ray or DVD?
Yes. Universal Pictures Home Entertainment announced digital ownership on June 25, 2024, followed by Blu-ray and DVD on July 9, 2024. Amazon’s movie page currently displays Blu-ray and DVD purchase formats associated with the 2024 film.
For the most precise Amazon search, use “Abigail (2024) Blu-ray”. A disc may be the better choice if you want a physical copy, bonus material, or access that does not depend on the continued availability of a digital storefront license. Before ordering, check the individual product page for the edition, region, seller, stock, delivery date, and return policy.

DVD is also an option for viewers whose equipment does not support Blu-ray. The same checks apply: listings can differ by seller and edition, and a DVD generally does not provide the same picture quality as Blu-ray.
Are there current theater showtimes for Abigail?
No reliable nationwide run was established by the current check. Abigail opened in U.S. theaters on April 19, 2024, so it is now principally a home-entertainment title rather than a regularly scheduled theatrical release.
Fandango still maintains a title page for Abigail, but the existence of a title page does not prove that theaters currently have screenings. If you want to see it on a big screen:
- Search for Abigail (2024) on a ticketing service and enter your ZIP code.
- Check nearby independent cinemas for repertory programs, horror marathons, fan events, or one-night re-releases.
- Confirm the date and theater directly before traveling, because occasional screenings may disappear quickly.
Which version of Abigail is this?
This guide concerns the 2024 Universal Pictures horror film directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. It is rated R, runs 1 hour 49 minutes, and follows a group of kidnappers who take a 12-year-old ballerina hostage for a $50 million ransom. They soon discover that their apparently ordinary captive is a vampire, and the abductors become trapped in an isolated mansion with her.
Rank #4
The year is important because search results can mix this movie with other titles named Abigail, including films from 2020 and 2023. Look for the 2024 release, Universal Pictures credit, R rating, and the cast led by Alisha Weir.
Why prices and availability may differ
- Location: Digital catalogs and Spectrum availability can vary by ZIP code and market.
- Account: A retailer may require you to sign in before showing the final price or purchase option.
- Format: HD, SD, Blu-ray, and DVD listings may have different prices.
- Timing: Rental promotions and temporary price changes can make one store cheaper on a particular day.
- Ownership terms: A digital purchase is tied to the retailer’s licensing and account system; a disc is independent of that storefront but still depends on compatible equipment and the disc’s region or format.
For the fastest home viewing, compare Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home at the time you are ready to watch. For permanent physical ownership, compare the specific Blu-ray or DVD edition rather than relying only on the film title.
