NBC or Peacock: Which one should you use?
NBC was the original broadcast home and carried the live premiere on February 16, 2025. For a current on-demand viewing search, however, Peacock is the better-supported destination because its episode page specifically lists the complete special as part of the Saturday Night Live catalog.
NBC should not automatically be assumed to offer the complete special on demand. Availability and playback options can change, so check a current NBC listing if you specifically want to investigate that route. Peacock remains the clearest place to start for the full program.
Runtime, picture quality, and accessibility
The Peacock page lists the special at 152 minutes and displays indicators for 4K UHD, HDR, closed captioning, and audio description. These are page-listed presentation and accessibility indicators, not a guarantee that every device, browser, plan, or internet connection will support every feature.
For example, a compatible television or streaming device may be required for 4K or HDR playback, while picture quality can also depend on the connection and the way the video is delivered. If a particular format is unavailable, the program may still play at a lower supported quality.

Is SNL50 available outside the United States?
The NBC and Peacock route described here is established for U.S. viewers. There is no single worldwide availability rule that can safely be applied to Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, or other territories. Streaming rights vary by country.
If you are outside the United States, search the title in the catalog of the legitimate streaming services available in your country and check the local Saturday Night Live listings. Do not assume that a U.S. Peacock listing means the same program, subscription access, or licensing arrangement exists in your region.
Other SNL50 programs to watch afterward
SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night
Peacock also lists SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night, a four-part documentary series about the show’s history and creative process. Its subjects include auditions, the writers’ room, the making of the “More Cowbell” sketch, and the pivotal eleventh season. It is a natural follow-up for viewers who want documentary context rather than another compilation of anniversary sketches.
SNL50: The Homecoming Concert
SNL50: The Homecoming Concert is a separate anniversary-weekend program. It was presented as a live concert from Radio City Music Hall, and Peacock described the complete concert as streaming exclusively on its service. It is not an extended cut of SNL50: The Anniversary Special, so search for it under its own title.

Official clips and sketches
Official SNL channels and Peacock editorial pages may offer individual highlights from the special, including the opening monologue, Adam Sandler’s “50 Years” song, “Bronx Beat,” “Scared Straight,” and the anniversary goodnights. These are useful if you only want selected moments, but they are not substitutes for the complete 152-minute program.
Want more classic SNL after the special?
For collectors, the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary Collection: Seasons One-Five is a separate physical-media release: a 37-disc DVD box set of archival SNL material. It is not the SNL50: The Anniversary Special and should not be purchased or searched for as though it were the streaming episode.
Availability and listing details for a specific retailer can change. If you are looking for a physical copy, verify the edition, disc count, seller, and current stock before ordering.
SNL50 merchandise and memorabilia
Fans interested in commemorative items can also look for official SNL50 merchandise, including anniversary-branded apparel and other collectibles in the NBCUniversal Shop catalog. Merchandise is an optional memorabilia purchase and has no connection to access to the streaming special. Inventory may change, so confirm that an item is still listed before buying.
