When all nine episodes were released
Disney+ launched the remaster as a three-night streaming event rather than a weekly series:

What is new in Episode Nine?
The original Anthology documentary was an eight-part 1995 series assembled from interviews with the Beatles, archival footage, photographs, and other historical material. The 2025 presentation restores and remasters those eight installments, then adds Episode Nine.
The new episode focuses on Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr working on the original Anthology music and documentary project in 1994 and 1995. It includes previously unreleased behind-the-scenes footage from that period, making it more than a simple reissue of the 1995 program.
What does “remastered” mean here?
The restoration was overseen by Apple Corps’ production team in collaboration with Peter Jackson’s WingNut Films and Park Road Post teams. Giles Martin created new audio mixes for most of the featured music. The result is a restored presentation of the original documentary material with additional content, rather than a newly filmed account of the Beatles’ entire career.

In particular, the book, CD set, vinyl set, and Anthology 4 music release are companion products. They do not provide access to the nine-episode documentary on Disney+. Avoid confusing the nine documentary episodes with Anthology 4, which is an audio release.

The Beatles Anthology 25th Anniversary Edition book
For readers who want more background after watching, The Beatles Anthology 25th Anniversary Edition book is a substantial physical companion. Released by Apple Corps and Chronicle Books in October 2025, the 368-page edition contains more than 1,300 photographs, documents, artwork, and other memorabilia. It presents the Beatles’ story in their own words and is useful for exploring the context behind the documentary.
It is a book, not a Disney+ access code or video edition, so treat it as an optional follow-up rather than part of the streaming purchase.
The 2025 Anthology music collection
The music from the wider Anthology project is also available in a 2025 collection. The physical options include a 12-LP set and an eight-CD set, alongside digital formats. The eight-CD edition contains remastered versions of Anthology 1, Anthology 2, Anthology 3, and the new Anthology 4; the official store describes the complete set as containing 191 tracks.

Anthology 4 is also sold separately in physical and digital formats. These releases are appropriate for listeners who want the music associated with the project, but they are not alternate ways to watch the documentary. The eight-CD collection is generally the more practical physical option for fans who want the complete audio project without choosing a large vinyl box set.
