Super Bowl LX had a smaller automotive advertising lineup than several recent games, but it still delivered distinct stories: Toyota’s intergenerational “Superhero Belt,” Volkswagen’s nostalgia-driven “Drivers Wanted,” Cadillac’s Formula 1 identity reveal, WeatherTech’s accessory spot, and a local Waymo robotaxi commercial. Here is the complete automotive-focused roundup, with national ads, automotive-adjacent placements, and vehicle cameos kept separate.
Super Bowl LX had fewer major car advertisers than some recent championship games, but the automotive lineup was still varied. The clearest national vehicle commercials came from Toyota and Volkswagen. Cadillac used the broadcast for a Formula 1 brand film and livery reveal rather than a conventional showroom-car ad. WeatherTech advertised automotive organization products, while Waymo ran a local San Francisco Bay Area spot for its autonomous ride service.
Super Bowl LX was played on February 8, 2026. The list below separates national automaker commercials from automotive-adjacent advertising, local mobility coverage, and cars that appeared only as cameos in unrelated commercials.
Toyota: “Superhero Belt”
Toyota’s “Superhero Belt” was the most direct family story among the major car spots. It follows a grandfather and grandson across roughly three decades, using a seatbelt as the symbol that connects them.
#1 Best Overall
- Very Comfortable. Avoid discomfort rubbing and irritation from the seat belt, can great for protecting your neck, shoulder, collar bones, chest from the seat belt.
- Premium Quality. Seat belt pad is made of polyester fiber and will not fade, foam lining make soft and comfortable, unique pattern design adding fashion to your car interior.
- Universal Design. It fits most straps, 11 inches long x 2.4 inches wide dimensions.
- Easy to Install. They have a piece of durable Velcro on the underside that you simply open, fold over the seat belt and then close again.
- Wide Application. Seat belt pad is can used for car, truck, SUV, airplane, bus and train seat belts, also can be applied for great for car seat restraints, backpacks, laptop bags, luggage shoulder straps, or anything with a strap.
As a child, the grandson is buckled into the back seat of a first-generation, four-door Toyota RAV4. His grandfather calls the seatbelt a “superhero belt,” turning an ordinary safety routine into a memorable piece of family language. The commercial then moves to the present, where the grandson is grown and helps his grandfather into a 2026 Toyota RAV4.
The ad is not built around racing, extreme capability, or a dramatic vehicle stunt. Its focus is continuity: the car that carried a child becomes part of the next stage of the family relationship, while the grandson now helps care for the person who once looked after him. Safety is present in the story without becoming a technical product demonstration.
Readers shopping for a similar interior item should treat Toyota RAV4 seat-belt accessories as a separate product category, not as merchandise from the commercial. Compatibility can vary by RAV4 generation, model year, trim, belt design, and installation method. A listing should be checked carefully before purchase, and any accessory must not interfere with belt retraction, latch operation, or proper restraint fit. Toyota does not endorse an accessory merely because it resembles an element in the advertisement.
Toyota’s second placement: “Where Dreams Began”
Toyota also aired “Where Dreams Began,” a separate 30-second spot featuring Team Toyota athletes. The commercial includes NFL wide receiver Puka Nacua, U.S. Paralympian Oksana Masters, and NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace.

That makes it thematically compatible with Toyota’s broader sports and athlete-marketing presence, but it should not be treated as a second edit of “Superhero Belt.” The two placements use different creative ideas: one is an intergenerational vehicle-and-safety story, and the other looks at ambition and the origins of athletic achievement.

Volkswagen: “Drivers Wanted”
Volkswagen revived its “Drivers Wanted” advertising platform for Super Bowl LX. The phrase carries deliberate historical weight: it was closely associated with Volkswagen advertising in the 1990s and 2000s. The new spot uses that recognition to connect the brand’s past with its newer vehicles, including the all-electric ID. Buzz.
The ID. Buzz is Volkswagen’s modern electric interpretation of the classic Microbus. Its rounded shape and family-oriented layout allow Volkswagen to use familiar nostalgia while presenting an electric vehicle as part of the brand’s future. That is the commercial’s central tension: the advertising language looks backward, but the product message points toward electrification.
Official Volkswagen materials for the cited North American specification describe features including retro-inspired design cues, family-oriented space, available all-wheel drive, and a 91-kWh battery. Those details are model-year-specific. A press-kit specification or starting MSRP for a 2025 model-year vehicle should not be presented as the current price or specification of every 2026 ID. Buzz without a fresh check. Pricing, trims, incentives, ordering status, and local availability can change by market.
The spot therefore works on two levels. “Drivers Wanted” asks longtime Volkswagen fans to remember an earlier advertising era, while the ID. Buzz asks them to imagine that emotional connection continuing in an electric vehicle.
Cadillac: Formula 1 film and 2026 livery reveal
Cadillac’s Super Bowl LX appearance belongs on a car-ad list, but it needs a more precise label. This was a motorsport brand film and Formula 1 livery reveal, not a conventional commercial for a current Cadillac SUV or sedan.

General Motors presented the debut of the Cadillac Formula 1 team and the team’s 2026 race livery in a film during the championship broadcast. The public livery presentation then continued in Times Square. Rather than asking viewers to visit a dealership for a specific consumer vehicle, the campaign introduced Cadillac’s new global racing identity.
That distinction matters. A viewer searching for a Cadillac production-car advertisement may reasonably be surprised by this entry, because its subject is a race team and its competition identity. The Super Bowl provided Cadillac with a large stage for a major brand and motorsport announcement, not simply another product commercial.

Official Cadillac F1 merchandise, die-cast models, or other racing memorabilia could become relevant future shopping categories, but availability and any retail or affiliate relationship would need to be verified separately. No particular product, inventory listing, or official partner should be assumed from the livery reveal alone.
WeatherTech: “TaDa”
WeatherTech was the clearest automotive-accessory advertiser in the broadcast. Its 30-second “TaDa” commercial aired during the second quarter and focused on solutions designed to help busy families stay organized.
WeatherTech is not an automaker, so this spot should be kept separate from Toyota and Volkswagen’s vehicle advertising. It is still directly relevant to car shoppers and owners because the company’s product category centers on vehicle organization and protection, along with products for the home.

- Premium Upgrade: Exquisite embroidery craftsmanship, fade-proof, non-shedding, machine-washable, soft and comfortable material.
- High-Grade Material: The product adopts a bright carbon fiber pattern to enhance the interior grade of the vehicle. The RAV pattern is embroidered.Catch the eye of every passenger who get on the vehicle.
- Comfortable Driving:Not only the exterior of the mat, but also the inner layer of the mat is covered with the soft mesh, and the inside is also filled with sponge, which can reduce the pressure of the seat belt on the shoulders and chest when driving, making long journeys more comfortable.
- Easy to Install:The belt pad is installed with magic sticker and can be installed on the safty belt in just a few seconds without any tools, and can be operated by anyone.
- Compatibility:Our seat belt mats have adjustable velcro that can fit any vehicle's seat belt width from 40mm to 55mm. Each package contains 2 pieces.
The distinction also prevents a common roundup mistake: treating every company that sells something for a vehicle as a car manufacturer, or treating every accessory as an endorsement of a featured automaker. WeatherTech’s commercial stands on its own as an automotive-accessory ad.
Quick wins for a faster PC:
Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Waymo: local robotaxi commercial
Waymo ran a 30-second local Super Bowl advertisement for its driverless ride service in the San Francisco Bay Area. Because it was a local placement, it was not necessarily shown to every Super Bowl viewer nationwide.
The service uses custom Jaguar I-PACE robotaxis equipped with autonomous-driving sensors. In this context, the Jaguar vehicle is part of Waymo’s mobility service rather than the subject of a conventional Jaguar retail commercial. The advertised product is the driverless ride experience.
Waymo belongs in an automotive-technology section because the vehicle, sensors, and ride service are central to the message. It should not be counted as a national automaker spot, and the local broadcast status should remain explicit whenever the advertisement is described.
What about the other cars seen during the broadcast?
Super Bowl LX also contained recognizable cars in commercials for categories such as food, entertainment, and technology. Vintage vehicles and other automotive cameos were part of the broadcast’s visual landscape, but a car appearing on screen does not automatically make the ad a car commercial.

A useful rule for counting the spots is:
- Count it as a car or automotive ad when an automaker, automotive-accessory company, or mobility company is the advertiser and the vehicle, service, or automotive product is central to the message.
- Call it a vehicle cameo when a recognizable car appears in a broader commercial for another category.
- Do not imply endorsement when discussing a compatible accessory. A RAV4-compatible seat-belt cover, organizer, or protective product is editorially adjacent to Toyota’s ad; it is not necessarily made, approved, featured, or endorsed by Toyota.
This approach produces a more useful list than simply counting every vehicle visible during the game. It also keeps a national automaker campaign, a local robotaxi placement, an accessory advertisement, and a motorsport reveal from being presented as if they were the same kind of commercial.

The 2026 lineup showed several different ways for an automotive brand to use the Super Bowl:
| Advertiser | Placement | What it communicated | Scope |
|---|---|---|---|
| Toyota | “Superhero Belt” | Family continuity, everyday safety, and the 2026 RAV4 | National automaker spot |
| Toyota | “Where Dreams Began” | Childhood ambition through Team Toyota athletes | National automaker spot |
| Volkswagen | “Drivers Wanted” | Nostalgia connected to newer Volkswagen vehicles and the electric ID. Buzz | National automaker spot |
| Cadillac | Formula 1 film and livery reveal | The launch of Cadillac’s 2026 racing identity | Motorsport brand film |
| WeatherTech | “TaDa” | Organization solutions for busy families | Automotive-accessory spot |
| Waymo | 30-second local robotaxi ad | Driverless rides using custom Jaguar I-PACE vehicles | San Francisco Bay Area local spot |
The strongest creative contrast was between Toyota’s intimate family narrative and Volkswagen’s large-scale nostalgia. Cadillac used the event for institutional and motorsport positioning, WeatherTech treated it as a practical household-and-vehicle advertising opportunity, and Waymo used a regional placement to promote a transportation service rather than a vehicle for private ownership.
Vehicle specifications, prices, trims, availability, accessory fit, marketplace inventory, and any affiliate relationships should be checked again at publication time. In particular, model-year information cited for the ID. Buzz or RAV4 should not be silently carried forward as 2026 pricing or specifications.

Frequently Asked Questions
Super Bowl LX was played on February 8, 2026.
When was Super Bowl LX played?
Toyota’s main automotive spot was “Superhero Belt,” a family story that moves from a first-generation four-door RAV4 to a 2026 RAV4. Toyota also aired a separate 30-second spot called “Where Dreams Began.”
Which was the main Toyota Super Bowl LX car commercial?
No. Cadillac’s placement was a motorsport brand film and reveal of its 2026 Formula 1 livery, rather than a conventional advertisement for a current showroom vehicle.
Was Cadillac’s Super Bowl LX appearance a normal car commercial?
The research identifies it as a 30-second local advertisement for Waymo’s driverless ride service in the San Francisco Bay Area, so it should not automatically be described as a national spot.
Was Waymo’s Super Bowl ad shown nationally?
Not necessarily. A vehicle cameo in a food, entertainment, technology, or other nonautomotive advertisement is not a full car ad unless the vehicle or automotive service is central to the advertiser’s message.
Do cars seen in other Super Bowl commercials count as car ads?
The Bottom Line
The main Super Bowl LX automotive advertisers were Toyota, Volkswagen, Cadillac, WeatherTech, and Waymo—but they did not all buy the same kind of message. Toyota delivered the clearest conventional car story with “Superhero Belt,” Volkswagen paired retro advertising with the electric ID. Buzz, Cadillac revealed its Formula 1 identity, WeatherTech promoted organization products, and Waymo ran a local robotaxi spot. Other cars seen during unrelated commercials are best treated as cameos, not additional car ads.
