Sinners is streaming on Max, Bugonia is streaming exclusively on Peacock, and Jay Kelly is available on Netflix in the U.S. The 98th Academy Awards took place on March 15, 2026, so “contenders” is now legacy wording: the Academy’s official record lists Sinners and Bugonia as nominees, but not Jay Kelly.

The 2025 film stars Michael B. Jordan in a dual role and became one of the major films recognized at the 98th Academy Awards. The Academy record lists Sinners as a nominee for Best Picture, directing, acting, cinematography, costume design, film editing, makeup and hairstyling, music, original song, production design, sound, visual effects, and writing. Its wins included Michael B. Jordan for leading actor, as well as awards for cinematography, original score, and original screenplay.
If you would rather keep a permanent copy instead of depending on a subscription catalog, look for the Sinners 4K UHD Blu-ray. Stock, seller, price, and edition details should be checked before buying.
Bugonia: stream it exclusively on Peacock
Bugonia is streaming exclusively on Peacock. Peacock announced the streaming release for December 26, 2025, and its current title information identifies the film as a 2025, 1-hour-58-minute, R-rated thriller.
Directed by Yorgos Lanthimos, the film stars Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Aidan Delbis, Stavros Halkias, and Alicia Silverstone. Its story follows two conspiracy-minded men who abduct a prominent executive because they believe she is an extraterrestrial threat.

Bugonia is also part of the Academy’s official 2026 record: it received a Best Picture nomination, Emma Stone was nominated for leading actress, and Jerskin Fendrix was nominated for original score.
A Bugonia 4K UHD Blu-ray is a secondary option for viewers who want physical media. Reported U.S. editions include 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD, but current inventory and seller information are not guaranteed.
Jay Kelly: available on Netflix
Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly is available to watch on Netflix, including offline viewing through supported Netflix downloads. The 2025 drama-comedy stars George Clooney, Adam Sandler, and Laura Dern.
It is important not to describe Jay Kelly as a confirmed 2026 Oscar nominee based on the current official record. The Academy’s ceremony page lists Sinners and Bugonia, but contains no Jay Kelly entry. That corrects the original “contenders” framing without making a broader claim about the film’s awards-season reception.
