Pornhub’s biggest trends in 2025 were LGBTQ-related: lesbian was reported as the top viewed category, transgender rose to second overall, and femboy entered the global top 10 while leading PornhubGay searches. MILF remained a major U.S. search term, but it was not the single global top trend.
Those results come from Pornhub’s 12th annual Year in Review and describe activity on Pornhub—not a representative survey of sexuality, gender identity, or offline behavior.

What were Pornhub’s biggest trends in 2025?
The biggest Pornhub trends in 2025 were the prominence of LGBTQ-related categories—especially lesbian and transgender—alongside the rise of femboy searches and continued U.S. interest in MILF. Pornhub reported lesbian as its top viewed category, transgender as its second-most-viewed overall category, and femboy as a global top-10 search and PornhubGay’s leading search.
The findings come from the 12th edition of Pornhub’s annual Year in Review project. The review is best understood as a snapshot of searches, views, and category rankings on one adult platform, rather than a measurement of what Americans or the world’s population believes, identifies as, or does offline. XBIZ’s report on Pornhub’s 2025 Year in Review attributes the reported rankings and figures to Pornhub’s own analysis.

Which categories and searches led Pornhub’s 2025 rankings?
Lesbian was reported as Pornhub’s top viewed category in 2025, moving up three positions, while transgender rose five positions to become the second-most-viewed overall category. Femboy entered the global top 10 and became the most popular search on PornhubGay, replacing twink.
| Trend | Reported 2025 result | Scope or metric | What the result does—and does not—show |
|---|---|---|---|
| Lesbian | Top viewed category | Overall Pornhub category ranking | Strong platform viewing interest; it does not establish viewers’ sexual orientation. |
| Transgender | Second-most-viewed category | Overall Pornhub category ranking | A major platform category; it does not measure public attitudes toward trans people. |
| Femboy | Entered the global top 10 | Global search ranking | A search-term trend involving gender expression; it should not be treated as interchangeable with gender identity. |
| Femboy on PornhubGay | Leading search, replacing twink | PornhubGay search ranking | A site-section result, not the same metric as the overall category ranking. |
| MILF | Second of six highlighted U.S. searches | U.S.-only search list | A prominent U.S. search label, not the single global top trend or proof of performers’ parental status. |
Them’s account of the 2025 report likewise emphasizes the distinction between the overall lesbian and transgender rankings and the PornhubGay result for femboy.
Was LGBTQ content the biggest Pornhub trend in 2025?
LGBTQ-related content was the clearest defining trend in Pornhub’s 2025 review, based on the reported prominence of lesbian, transgender, femboy, queer, and bisexual searches. Lesbian led the overall viewed-category ranking, transgender was second, and several related search combinations posted substantial year-over-year increases.
| Search or category phrase | Reported change in 2025 | Attribution |

| Queer | Up 132% | Pornhub’s 2025 analysis |
| Bisexual | Up 88% | Pornhub’s 2025 analysis |
| Lesbian scissoring | Up 79% | Pornhub’s 2025 analysis |
| Trans threesome | Up 67% | Pornhub’s 2025 analysis |

Why did lesbian searches stand out?
Lesbian searches stood out because lesbian was reported as Pornhub’s most-viewed category overall and the most-viewed category among women on the platform. The review also highlighted growth in the more specific searches lesbian scissoring, lesbian MILF, and lesbian strapon.
Those labels are Pornhub taxonomy and search language. The lesbian category’s popularity does not prove that viewers identify as lesbian, nor does it show that the category reflects how performers describe themselves. A platform ranking can indicate demand for a label without explaining the identity or motivation of the people behind the traffic.
How popular was transgender content on Pornhub in 2025?
Transgender was reported as Pornhub’s second-most-viewed overall category in 2025 after rising five positions. Pornhub also reported increases of 67% for trans threesome searches and 49% for trans amateur searches.
Natassia Dreams, identified in the coverage as a trans Pornhub ambassador, interpreted the result as a broader cultural development, saying: “What’s happening in 2025 is more than just an increase in views; it’s a cultural shift. For the first time, trans-led content is the second most watched category in the industry. People are finally seeking out stories and performers who break old ideas about gender and sexuality. It’s amazing to see viewers become more open-minded and interested in authenticity. This growth shows trans creators are finally being seen and celebrated on our own terms.” PinkNews published the quotation and attribution.
Dreams’ statement is an industry participant’s interpretation, not independent confirmation that trans people are safer, more accepted, or more empowered as a result of the rankings. Higher viewing figures alone cannot establish those outcomes.
What does femboy’s rise mean?
Femboy entered Pornhub’s global top 10 and became the leading search on PornhubGay, where it displaced twink. Pornhub also reported growth in searches including cute femboy, sexy femboy, and femboy hentai.
Femboy generally refers to a person who expresses femininity through appearance, style, or presentation while being comfortable being recognized as male; the term does not automatically define a person’s gender identity. Gender expression and gender identity are related but distinct concepts, so the search trend should not be used to classify all performers or viewers using the term. Them’s coverage includes the creator perspective and the PornhubGay ranking.

What were the top Pornhub searches in the U.S. in 2025?
The highlighted U.S. searches, in the order reported, were latina, MILF, Asian, hentai, lesbian, and ebony. MILF was therefore a leading U.S. search term, but Pornhub did not present MILF as the single top global trend.
| U.S. position in the highlighted list | Search term | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | latina | Top search in the reported U.S. list. |
| 2 | MILF | Major U.S. search term and part of the rising lesbian MILF compound search. |
| 3 | Asian | Highlighted U.S. search term. |
| 4 | hentai | Highlighted U.S. search term. |
| 5 | lesbian | Highlighted U.S. search term as well as the top viewed overall category. |
| 6 | ebony | Highlighted U.S. search term. |
The top traffic countries listed in the same reporting were the United States, Mexico, the Philippines, Brazil, and Germany. The U.S. list should not be confused with the global viewed-category ranking: MILF was prominent in the U.S. search list, while lesbian led the overall viewed-category result. XBIZ’s report provides the U.S. search and country context.
What does MILF’s 2025 trend actually show?
MILF was one of the leading highlighted U.S. search terms, and the compound search lesbian MILF reportedly grew 129% year over year. The evidence supports describing MILF as a strong U.S. search label and lesbian MILF as a rapidly rising combination—not as Pornhub’s top global trend.
MILF is a category or search term, not reliable evidence of a performer’s age, parental status, or personal identity. The same caution applies to other demographic and relationship labels used in platform taxonomies: search behavior can reflect fantasy, curiosity, navigation, or a preference for a particular style of content.
What other Pornhub trends increased in 2025?
Pornhub’s broader “sharing” trend showed increased searches for several non-LGBTQ relationship labels. According to XBIZ’s coverage of Pornhub’s report, hotwife searches rose 101%, cuckold searches rose 73%, swingers searches rose 68%, and wife swap searches rose 39% in 2025.
| Search theme | Reported year-over-year increase |
|---|---|
| Hotwife | 101% |
| Cuckold | 73% |
| Swingers | 68% |
| Wife swap | 39% |
These increases indicate changes in searches on Pornhub. They do not demonstrate that more people participated in these relationships offline, and they should not be read as a population-level measure of relationship practices.
Did more women watch Pornhub in 2025?
According to Pornhub’s 2025 figures, women represented 38% of Pornhub traffic in 2025, compared with 24% in 2015. The report summary also described the 2025 share as 1.5 percentage points higher than in 2024. XBIZ reported Pornhub’s traffic-share comparison.
The figure complicates the assumption that viewers of lesbian, MILF, or transgender categories are exclusively men. The traffic share does not show why women visited, which categories women watched, or how visitors self-identify. It is also a platform-reported audience figure, not a representative survey of women’s sexual interests.

Pornhub’s Year in Review is useful for describing activity on Pornhub, but the rankings require careful limits. The platform’s audience, recommendation systems, access conditions, category taxonomy, and reporting choices all shape the results.
- Search is not identity: a query can reflect curiosity, fantasy, category navigation, or interest in a performer rather than the user’s identity.
- Categories are not neutral surveys: platform labels may not match the language performers or viewers use for themselves.
- Growth is not acceptance: more views do not by themselves prove greater social acceptance, safety, agency, or empowerment for represented communities.
- Access affects traffic: age-verification laws and other restrictions can change who reaches the platform and where traffic comes from.
- Representation matters: trend reporting should include performer agency, consent, working conditions, and monetization rather than treating performers only as data points.
Academic analysis also cautions against treating adult-platform metrics as a transparent record of sexual culture. Research on Pornhub datafication and the making of sexual culture provides relevant context for understanding how platform measurements and categories shape what becomes visible.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Did age-verification laws affect Pornhub’s 2025 results?
Reported U.S. age-verification laws affected access to Pornhub in multiple states during 2025, but the number of affected states changed during the year. A definitive undated state count would therefore be misleading.
Access restrictions matter because a change in searches or traffic can partly reflect who could access the platform, not only what users wanted to view. State-by-state legal details should be checked against current primary legal or government sources before publication; the available dossier provides only secondary legal context and does not establish a fixed 2025 count.

What is the fairest bottom line?
Pornhub’s 2025 review reported an unmistakable shift in the platform’s visible rankings toward LGBTQ-related searches: lesbian led viewed categories, transgender ranked second, and femboy rose into the global top 10 while leading PornhubGay searches. MILF remained important, particularly in the United States and in the rising lesbian MILF query, but it was not reported as the single global trend.
The most accurate conclusion is narrower than “the world became more LGBTQ.” Pornhub’s data shows changing demand signals within Pornhub’s audience and taxonomy. The data cannot independently explain users’ identities, motivations, offline behavior, or the lived experiences of the performers represented by those labels.
