Where can I watch The Penguin in the United States?
Max is the primary U.S. streaming service for The Penguin. The series launched on Max alongside its HBO premiere. U.S. availability listings also currently identify HBO Max Amazon Channel, YouTube TV, and Spectrum On Demand as possible ways to access the series, depending on the viewer’s subscription and location.
Digital purchase listings include Amazon Video, the Apple TV Store, and Fandango At Home. These are purchase options rather than the same kind of continuing subscription access offered by Max. Catalogs, prices, formats, and provider listings can change, so confirm the title inside the service or store before paying. The current U.S. cross-check is provided by JustWatch’s U.S. availability listing and its season-one listing.
| U.S. route | Type of access | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Max | Subscription streaming | Primary streaming destination; availability depends on the account and location. |
| HBO Max Amazon Channel | Subscription channel | Currently listed in U.S. availability results; check the Amazon channel catalog. |
| YouTube TV | Live-TV or provider access | Currently listed in U.S. results; plan and local availability may matter. |
| Spectrum On Demand | On-demand provider access | Currently listed in U.S. results; check the provider’s current catalog. |
| Amazon Video, Apple TV Store, or Fandango At Home | Digital purchase | Useful when you want to buy episodes or the season rather than maintain a streaming subscription. |
Where can I stream The Penguin in the United Kingdom?
Viewers in the United Kingdom can watch The Penguin through Sky Atlantic or NOW. Sky identifies Sky Atlantic and NOW as the relevant U.K. services on its official The Penguin title page. NOW’s title page lists all eight season-one episodes and supports online viewing through NOW or its app.
U.K. availability is separate from U.S. Max availability. A U.S. streaming subscription should not be treated as a guaranteed substitute for the licensed U.K. services, because distribution rights are assigned by territory.
Where can I watch The Penguin in Australia?
BINGE was the official Australian launch platform for The Penguin. BINGE announced an Australian premiere date of September 20, 2024. That date is one day after the U.S. premiere and should not be confused with the show’s global release date; the difference reflects the regional rollout and schedule.

Australian viewers should check BINGE’s current catalog before subscribing, since streaming availability can change after launch. The original Australian announcement is recorded in BINGE’s official media-release index.
Can I watch The Penguin outside the United States?
Yes, but the correct service depends on the country where you are physically located. The confirmed examples in the available rights information are Sky Atlantic and NOW in the United Kingdom, BINGE in Australia, and Max in supported territories. Viewers elsewhere should check the local Max or HBO Max service and the country’s licensed HBO distributor rather than assuming that one platform works worldwide.
Max’s own guidance says the service is available only in listed countries and that the titles displayed can change according to the viewer’s physical location. The Max availability and travel guidance is the best check for supported destinations and catalog behavior.

Can I watch The Penguin while traveling?
You can stream The Penguin while traveling only when Max is supported in the destination country, and the available catalog may differ from the catalog at home. Max bases the displayed library on physical location, so a title in a subscriber’s Continue Watching list or My List may not be playable after crossing a border.
Before leaving, check whether Max operates in the destination. If Max is supported and the app permits downloads, download episodes to a phone or tablet in advance. Max’s travel guidance says previously downloaded shows and movies can still be played on a phone or tablet while traveling.
- Confirm destination support before the trip.
- Check The Penguin in the destination catalog instead of relying only on Continue Watching or My List.
- Download episodes in advance if offline playback is available on your device and plan.
- Do not assume that a VPN provides authorized or uninterrupted access to another country’s catalog.
- If Max reports a location error, follow Max’s guidance to disable a VPN or proxy.
“From anywhere” therefore means watching through an authorized service available in the territory where you are located. It does not mean that Max offers one unrestricted global catalog.
Is The Penguin available on Netflix?
The supplied availability evidence does not confirm The Penguin on Netflix. The confirmed services are Max in the United States and supported territories, Sky Atlantic or NOW in the United Kingdom, and BINGE in Australia. Netflix availability should not be assumed without a current country-specific listing.
Where can I buy The Penguin Season 1?
The complete season is available through physical-media and digital-purchase routes, subject to country, inventory, and marketplace differences. U.S. listings surface 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD purchase options. Physical media is the more durable choice for viewers who want offline playback, collector ownership, or access that does not depend on a streaming license remaining active.
Warner Bros. Japan lists a three-disc Blu-ray complete box set released on August 6, 2025, along with DVD editions. The set includes the full series and bonus material, including behind-the-scenes features, Gotham City production material, makeup discussion, and character-focused extras. Warner Bros. Japan describes approximately 91 minutes of bonus video material in its official Blu-ray and DVD release announcement.
For readers comparing formats, The Penguin Season 1 Blu-ray is the straightforward physical-media option. A The Penguin complete first season on 4K UHD release may be preferable for viewers with compatible equipment, while The Penguin DVD is a lower-specification option that may work with older players. Confirm the exact edition’s region compatibility, language tracks, video format, and included extras before ordering. Warner Bros. Japan’s official home-entertainment page provides release information for the listed editions.
| Format or route | Best for | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Max or regional streaming | Immediate access without buying the season | Catalog and territory availability can change. |
| Digital purchase | Keeping a season in a supported digital library | Store terms, formats, and access can vary by marketplace. |
| 4K UHD | Viewers with compatible 4K equipment seeking a higher-end disc format | Requires compatible hardware; edition details vary. |
| Blu-ray | Offline viewing and bonus features | Requires a Blu-ray player and a compatible regional edition. |
| DVD | Compatibility with many older disc players | Lower video quality than 4K UHD or Blu-ray. |
What is The Penguin about?
The Penguin is a crime thriller set in the world of Gotham and follows Oswald “Oz” Cobb’s pursuit of power and control. The series is presented as the next chapter in The Batman saga and stars Colin Farrell, Cristin Milioti, and Rhenzy Feliz. The official Apple TV title page lists the premise and principal cast, while HBO’s announcement identifies Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb.

Choose Max or the confirmed regional service for the fastest way to stream, digital purchase for a store-based option, and Blu-ray, 4K UHD, or DVD for offline ownership and extras.
