We Are Lady Parts was the standout of Rotten Tomatoes’ January 3, 2022 Peacock ranking, with a 97% Tomatometer score. Save Me followed with a perfect 100% Tomatometer score, while Girls5eva, Rutherford Falls, The Capture, and Dr. Death rounded out some of the strongest options.
This is a historical snapshot, not a current 2026 Peacock catalog guide. Rotten Tomatoes ranked Peacock programming that had available scores at the time, and many Peacock titles did not yet have scores. Availability, scores, subscription terms, and even Peacock’s catalog may have changed since the list was published.
What counted as a “Peacock Original”
Rotten Tomatoes used “Peacock Originals” broadly. The category included programs produced or developed for Peacock, revivals, documentaries, and titles for which Peacock held exclusive streaming rights. That means the list was not limited to shows made entirely by Peacock or produced in the United States.
For example, We Are Lady Parts is a British series, while Save Me, The Capture, Noughts + Crosses, Hitmen, and Intelligence are among the international or acquired titles included in Peacock’s exclusive programming mix. Peacock’s own definition likewise covers content produced by Peacock or covered by Peacock’s exclusive streaming rights.
The best-rated Peacock titles in the January 2022 guide
1. We Are Lady Parts — 97% Tomatometer, 75% audience score
We Are Lady Parts was Rotten Tomatoes’ top-ranked entry. The British comedy follows Amina Hussein, a biochemical-engineering Ph.D. student whose life changes when she becomes the lead guitarist of an all-female Muslim punk band.

- Important: Watch the video and learn the”Designed for" details listed below!
- Designed for concrete, brick and wood studs wall (single stud).
- Designed for TVs up to 80 lbs (36.3 KG) and display sized 26" - 55" (66 CM - 140 CM).
- Designed for VESA sized from 3.9'' x 3.9'' through 15.7'' x 15.7''.
- Comfortable View with tilt range from +10° to -5°.
Its appeal comes from the collision of musical ambition, friendship, faith, family expectations, and genuinely energetic comedy. The premise is unusual, but the show is not simply a novelty: its central characters have distinct goals and conflicts, and the band’s songs are part of the storytelling rather than decorative interludes.
The 97% Tomatometer score reflects critics’ response, while the 75% audience score reflects user ratings. Neither number is a grade for every viewer, and the difference between the scores is a reminder that critical enthusiasm and audience response are separate signals.
2. Save Me — 100% Tomatometer, 84% audience score
Save Me begins with Nelson “Nelly” Rowe searching for his estranged missing daughter. Its mystery is driven as much by Nelly’s troubled personal history and difficult relationships as by the question of what happened to the girl.

A 100% score means that the counted reviews were positive; it does not mean every critic awarded the same rating or that the show is universally considered flawless.
3. The Amber Ruffin Show — no Tomatometer score displayed, 38% audience score
The Amber Ruffin Show was described by Rotten Tomatoes as a smart-and-silly take on the week. Its inclusion is a useful reminder that the page was not a simple list of titles ordered by Tomatometer percentage: this entry had no displayed Tomatometer score but was still included with an audience score.
It is best approached as a topical comedy and commentary program rather than a conventional scripted Peacock series. Because its humor responds to current events, its relevance can depend heavily on when an episode was made and watched.
4. John Wayne Gacy: Devil in Disguise — 100% Tomatometer, 85% audience score
This true-crime documentary series examines the case of serial killer John Wayne Gacy, including material drawn from Gacy’s own words. The subject matter is disturbing, and viewers who are sensitive to crime-scene details, victim accounts, or discussions of sexual violence should take that into consideration.

Its 100% Tomatometer and 85% audience score made it one of the strongest-rated titles in the snapshot. As with any true-crime production, a high aggregate score should not be confused with proof that the documentary is comprehensive or the definitive account of the case.
5. Girls5eva: Season 1 — 98% Tomatometer, 79% audience score
Girls5eva follows a once-famous girl group that gets another chance at a music career years after its original success. Rotten Tomatoes’ consensus highlighted the show’s intelligence, musical nostalgia, and performances by Busy Philipps, Paula Pell, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Sara Bareilles.
The series works especially well for viewers who like workplace and friendship comedies with original songs. Its central joke is not simply that the characters are older former pop stars; it is that each woman has a different understanding of what success, ambition, and reinvention should look like.
6. Rutherford Falls — 96% Tomatometer, 61% audience score
This sitcom centers on lifelong friends Nathan Rutherford and Reagan Wells after a conflict disrupts their small town. The show uses the dispute over local history and a town monument to explore friendship, identity, Native representation, and the stories communities choose to preserve.
Its 96% Tomatometer score was considerably higher than its 61% audience score in the captured ranking. That gap does not establish why viewers disagreed, but it does make Rutherford Falls a good example of why readers should consider both metrics rather than treating the critic score as a universal recommendation.
7. The Capture — 97% Tomatometer, 71% audience score
The Capture follows soldier Shaun Emery after his murder conviction is overturned because of flawed video evidence. The premise quickly turns into a conspiracy thriller about surveillance, manipulated footage, and the difficulty of knowing what recorded evidence actually proves.
The 97% Tomatometer and 71% audience score place it among the guide’s most critic-approved dramas. It is a strong choice for viewers who prefer tense, technology-driven mysteries over light comedy, although the show’s deliberately complicated plot rewards close attention.

Its 90% Tomatometer score and 85% audience score indicate broad approval in the January 2022 snapshot. The subject is unsettling, but the series is a natural fit for viewers interested in investigative medical stories and institutional accountability rather than a conventional fictional hospital drama.

For viewers who prefer physical media, the Saved by the Bell Season One DVD is a companion option for the 2020 Peacock reboot. Adaptations: read the source material
Several entries are adaptations, so the shows can also serve as starting points for readers who want the original novels. These books are companion reading, not substitutes for a Peacock subscription and not evidence that the corresponding shows remain available.
One of Us Is Lying
Karen M. McManus’s novel is the source for the Bayview High murder mystery. The story follows four students who become entangled in the investigation after a classmate dies during detention. The book is available in multiple formats, including hardcover, paperback, ebook, and audiobook editions.
Brave New World
Aldous Huxley’s dystopian novel was originally published in 1932. HarperCollins lists a trade paperback edition with ISBN 9780061767647. The television adaptation expands and reworks the premise, so reading the novel is best understood as a way to compare the series with its literary foundation.

Noughts + Crosses
Malorie Blackman’s novel supplies the source material for the dystopian drama. Its speculative society reverses familiar racial power structures, making the book useful for readers who want to explore the premise in its original form and follow the wider series of novels.
The Lost Symbol
Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon novel is the source for Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol. Paperback, hardcover, ebook, and audiobook editions are available through different retailers and libraries, subject to current stock and regional licensing.
How Rotten Tomatoes’ ranking should be read
Tomatometer versus audience score
The Tomatometer is the percentage of counted professional reviews that are positive. The audience score represents user ratings. They answer different questions: the first summarizes the response from participating critics, while the second reflects ratings from participating users.
A title with a lower audience score is not automatically a poor choice, and a high Tomatometer score is not a guarantee that its pacing, tone, or subject matter will suit you. Use the numbers to narrow the field, then choose according to genre and premise. For example:
- Choose We Are Lady Parts or Girls5eva for music-centered comedy.
- Choose Rutherford Falls for a character comedy with a community and history conflict at its center.
- Choose The Capture for a surveillance thriller.
- Choose Dr. Death or John Wayne Gacy: Devil in Disguise for nonfiction or fact-based crime stories, keeping their disturbing subject matter in mind.
- Choose One of Us Is Lying for a young-adult mystery.
- Choose Saved by the Bell or Punky Brewster for a revival of a familiar sitcom property.
What this list does—and does not—tell you
This guide was published on January 3, 2022. It describes Peacock as it existed then: the U.S. service had launched in July 2020, offered a free ad-supported tier for much of its catalog, and placed Peacock Originals and other premium programming in its premium offering. Those historical plan descriptions should not be treated as current pricing or current plan terms.

Licensing arrangements change, and some programs may move between services or become unavailable in particular countries. Check Peacock’s current listings in your territory before subscribing for a specific show.
Rotten Tomatoes’ list was score-led and incomplete. A title’s absence could mean that it was not part of the selected ranking or did not yet have an available score; it does not prove that the title was absent from Peacock. The page’s “shows and movies” wording is also broader than the visible ranked set, which consists overwhelmingly of series, documentary series, and specials. The page mentioned recent additions such as MacGruber and Vigil, but it did not provide a substantial scored movie ranking for them, so they should not be assigned invented positions or scores.
