For viewers in the United States, Megalopolis is not currently listed as available on a major streaming service or U.S. digital storefront. JustWatch and PlayPilot currently show no U.S. streaming offer, while the film’s former rental and purchase listings appear to have disappeared. Availability can change, so check a current storefront or aggregator immediately before watching.
There are still a few legitimate possibilities: a special theatrical screening, an imported U.K. physical edition, or—outside the U.S.—a territory-specific digital or subscription listing. The 2025 documentary MegaDoc is also available separately, but it is about the making of the film and is not Coppola’s feature.

Where can you watch Megalopolis right now?
In the U.S., Megalopolis is not currently listed for streaming, rental, or purchase. JustWatch’s U.S. title listing says it could not find an online offer, and PlayPilot likewise lists the film as unavailable in the United States.
That wording matters. JustWatch and PlayPilot track catalog availability; they are not the film’s rights holders. “Not currently listed” is more accurate than saying the movie can never stream or that no provider could possibly offer it. Licensing and storefront listings can change without much notice.

Is Megalopolis on Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, or Apple TV?
There is no current U.S. subscription-streaming listing identified in the available research. The film previously appeared on transactional services, including Prime Video and Apple TV, but those earlier listings should not be assumed to remain playable.
Apple still has a U.S. metadata page for the title. It identifies the film as a 2024 Lionsgate release directed by Francis Ford Coppola, with a runtime of 2 hours 18 minutes and principal cast members Adam Driver, Giancarlo Esposito, and Nathalie Emmanuel. However, a catalog or metadata page is not the same thing as an active rental or purchase offer. Look for a current “Rent,” “Buy,” or “Watch” button before paying.
Why did the digital version disappear?
Megalopolis opened theatrically in the United States on September 27, 2024. After its theatrical run, it became available through premium video-on-demand services, including Prime Video and Apple TV, for digital rental and purchase. Contemporary reports put the 4K rental price at approximately $19.99.
That release window did not last. Later reporting from The Guardian and Film Stories said the U.S. listings were removed, with the film absent from common North American subscription-streaming services and without a widely available U.S. DVD, Blu-ray, or 4K release at the time of reporting.

That helps explain the unusual distribution history, but it does not establish the current rights situation in every country.

Could a U.S. screening still be available?
Possibly. Megalopolis has continued to receive unusual theatrical attention, including special or Coppola-associated screenings. These events are local and change quickly, so verify the theater, date, format, and ticket availability directly before making plans.
A special screening may be the best option for viewers who want to experience the film as Coppola intended, particularly because the movie’s presentation and theatrical design are central to its identity. Do not rely on an old event listing or assume that a screening announced in one city is available nationally.
Can viewers outside the U.S. stream Megalopolis?
Yes, availability differs by territory. In the U.K., JustWatch currently lists Megalopolis on MUBI and the MUBI Amazon Channel, along with digital purchase options through Rakuten TV, Apple TV Store, and Amazon Video.

Can you buy a physical copy?
The U.K. received DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD editions. A U.K. 4K UHD/Blu-ray release was listed for March 3, 2025, making an imported edition one of the more practical legal options for collectors in the United States.
Rank #3
Before buying an imported U.K. copy, check all of the following:
- 4K region compatibility: Confirm whether the 4K disc is region-free. Do not assume every included disc has the same compatibility.
- Blu-ray region: A Blu-ray packaged with a U.K. edition may be Region B, which may not play on a standard U.S. Blu-ray player.
- Subtitles and audio: Verify that the edition includes the subtitle and audio options you need.
- Seller and condition: Check whether the listing is new, used, complete, and supplied by a reputable seller.
- Shipping and import costs: Confirm delivery to the United States and calculate fees before ordering.
Compatibility is a product-level question, not something that can be guaranteed for every U.K. package. Read the exact listing and your player’s region specifications before purchasing.

An imported U.K. Megalopolis 4K Blu-ray may be worth considering if you want to own the film while U.S. digital access remains uncertain. Treat it as an import, not a domestic U.S. release, and verify the 4K and Blu-ray region details on the specific listing.
A companion product: the official graphic novel
If you cannot currently watch the film but want another official way into its world, Abrams ComicArts published Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis: An Original Graphic Novel. The 160-page hardcover was adapted by Chris Ryall in collaboration with Coppola and illustrated by Jacob Phillips. Abrams lists the book under ISBN 9781419787126, with a publication date of October 7, 2025 and a listed price of $25.99.
This is not a screenplay, disc edition, or replacement for the movie. It is an alternate, reimagined story connected to Megalopolis. Readers looking for a physical companion can search for the Megalopolis graphic novel through Abrams or its listed booksellers, including Amazon.
Do not confuse MegaDoc with the movie
MegaDoc is a separate 2025 documentary directed by Mike Figgis about the making of Megalopolis. It is available through the Criterion Channel, according to Criterion’s listing.
It is a useful companion watch for anyone interested in Coppola’s production, creative process, and the difficult path to making the feature. But it does not contain the feature film and should not be presented as a way to stream Megalopolis itself.

- Search a current U.S. availability aggregator. Check the film’s current JustWatch or PlayPilot listing rather than relying on an archived article.
- Open the actual storefront. If Apple TV, Prime Video, or another service displays the title, confirm that the page has an active playback, rental, or purchase button.
- Check the country. A U.K. MUBI or Amazon listing is not evidence of U.S. availability.
- For screenings, verify the exact theater and date. Special presentations may disappear or sell out quickly.
- For imports, read the disc specifications. Confirm region compatibility, subtitles, seller details, shipping, and total cost.
Do not rely on unofficial uploads, unauthorized copies, or VPN-based circumvention of territorial restrictions. Those options create legal and security risks and do not provide a dependable answer to where the film is officially available.
