The Back to the Beginning livestream was a paid worldwide event that took place on July 5, 2025—not an ongoing streaming service. Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s farewell performance at Birmingham’s Villa Park was streamed globally, and the official purchase included a 48-hour on-demand replay window after the concert. That window ended in July 2025. As of August 11, 2026, there is no authoritative evidence in the available research that the original livestream remains available to buy or replay.
What the Back to the Beginning livestream was
On July 3, 2025, Ozzy Osbourne’s official website announced that the sold-out Back to the Beginning concert would be available as a worldwide pay-per-view livestream two days later. The event took place at Villa Park in Birmingham, England, on July 5, 2025.
The official announcement promised access to Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath’s performance, with the complete set available on demand for 48 hours after the live broadcast. Fans were directed to BackToTheBeginning.com to purchase livestream access at the time.
This was a dedicated event broadcast rather than a normal television special or a permanent entry in a subscription streaming catalog. Mercury Studios had announced on June 6, 2025, that it was working with Kiswe to deliver the global direct-to-consumer stream. That partnership is the clearest production and distribution attribution for the broadcast.

Why the concert mattered
Back to the Beginning was presented as Ozzy’s final performance and Black Sabbath’s farewell appearance. It also represented a return to Birmingham, the English city where Black Sabbath originated.
The advertised reunion brought together the original Black Sabbath lineup—Ozzy Osbourne, Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward—for the first time in 20 years. Ozzy was scheduled to perform a short solo set before joining the band for the Black Sabbath portion of the show.
The concert was also organized as a charity event. The announced beneficiaries were Cure Parkinson’s, Birmingham Children’s Hospital, and Acorn Children’s Hospice, with profits intended to be shared equally among them.

Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, 2025, 17 days after the Villa Park show. As a result, the performance is now retrospectively his final live appearance, while the event itself had already been promoted as his farewell before his death.
What was performed?
The finished event included Ozzy’s solo segment followed by a Black Sabbath set with Iommi, Butler, and Ward. Contemporary reporting identified Black Sabbath performances including:
- “War Pigs”
- “Iron Man”
- “N.I.B.”
- “Paranoid”
Ozzy’s solo band was reported as featuring Zakk Wylde, Mike Inez, Adam Wakeman, and Tommy Clufetos.

Back to the Beginning was an all-day rock and metal event with performances from other major artists as well. However, the existence of those supporting performances does not establish that every act or song appeared in the pay-per-view stream’s replay, and it is not safe to assume that a later film contains the entire event.

Is the original livestream still available?
There is no confirmed evidence in the supplied official and release-tracking information that the original livestream is still purchasable or playable as of August 11, 2026.
The stream was tied to the July 5, 2025 event and came with a limited 48-hour on-demand period. It should not be confused with a permanent concert archive. Any current offer should be checked against an official Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Mercury Studios, or authorized distributor page before payment.
Avoid treating a fan upload, search-result snippet, encyclopedia entry, or social-media post as proof of an authorized rebroadcast. Such material may describe the 2025 event accurately while still linking to an expired or unofficial video.
Is there a Back to the Beginning concert film?
Yes. A separate film titled Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow was announced for theatrical release in early 2026, with a physical product release planned for later in 2026 through Mercury Studios.

It was described as an approximately 100-minute cinematic version centered on Ozzy and Black Sabbath, with behind-the-scenes material and interviews. That format suggests a condensed concert film, not a complete recording of the full all-day Villa Park event.
The available research does not establish the exact theatrical date, release territories, home-video date, disc formats, editions, or retailer inventory. Release-tracking information listed the U.S. DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Blu-ray, and video-on-demand dates as to be announced. Those details should be verified directly before publication or purchase.

How to check for a legitimate home-video release
- Look for a current announcement from Mercury Studios or the film’s confirmed distributor.
- Check whether the listing identifies a specific format, release date, runtime, region, and distributor.
- Confirm that the product is the concert film Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow, rather than an unrelated Ozzy or Black Sabbath compilation.
- Compare the retailer’s information with the distributor’s release details before ordering.
For discovery purposes, the most relevant search phrase is “Back to the Beginning Ozzy’s Final Bow DVD.” That phrase may help locate a future listing, but it is not evidence that a DVD currently exists in stock. The film may ultimately be issued on DVD, Blu-ray, 4K Blu-ray, digitally, or in another format; the exact release information was not confirmed in the research available for this article.
What is the best way to watch it now?
For the original concert, there is currently no verified active livestream option to recommend. The most reliable path is to watch for an official home-video, digital, or authorized re-release announcement for Back to the Beginning: Ozzy’s Final Bow.

It may preserve the most important Ozzy and Black Sabbath material while adding interviews and behind-the-scenes footage, but readers should not be promised the complete eight-hour event or every supporting artist unless a distributor confirms that content.
Merchandise and memorabilia
The official event announcement also documented Back to the Beginning merchandise, including T-shirts, hoodies, caps, and tote bags. These items are relevant memorabilia for fans of the Villa Park farewell, but the available evidence does not establish current inventory, an active official store listing, or an authorized affiliate offer as of August 11, 2026.
Availability may vary by country and by whether the merchandise was sold as time-limited event stock. A current official store page is safer than assuming that an old event listing remains active.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Why a general streaming subscription is not the answer
The original broadcast used a dedicated global event-streaming arrangement through Mercury Studios and Kiswe, with a defined 48-hour replay period. It was not announced as part of a general subscription catalog. Consequently, signing up for an unrelated streaming service does not establish access to the concert.
The same distinction matters when comparing the livestream with the later film: one was a time-limited pay-per-view event, while the other is a separately released theatrical and home-video project.
