Netflix’s official U.S. title page lists all four seasons, and Netflix’s Season 4 trailer identifies the season as available only on Netflix. Hulu, Prime Video, and Apple TV are useful services for other viewing habits, but they are not the confirmed U.S. home of The Witcher Season 4.

The quick answer: watch Season 4 on Netflix
The Witcher Season 4 premiered on Netflix on October 30, 2025. All eight episodes are now streaming, and Netflix has confirmed that Season 5 will be the series’ final season. Seasons 4 and 5 are intended to form the show’s concluding two chapters.
Netflix’s U.S. title page lists The Witcher as a four-season, TV-MA fantasy series starring Liam Hemsworth, Anya Chalotra, and Freya Allan. The page also includes Season 4 trailers and indicates that the series supports offline downloads on supported devices.

If you are searching for Season 4 specifically, there is no reason to subscribe to all four services discussed here. Start with Netflix, then choose the plan based on picture quality, advertising, and how many people will use the account—not because a higher Netflix tier unlocks a different home for the show.
What The Witcher Season 4 is about
Season 4 begins after the events of Season 3, with Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri separated. War and hostile forces keep the three central characters on different paths, while each encounters unexpected allies.
Liam Hemsworth takes over the role of Geralt of Rivia from Henry Cavill. Anya Chalotra returns as Yennefer, Freya Allan returns as Ciri, and Laurence Fishburne joins the main cast as Regis. This is a spoiler-light description of the setup; it avoids revealing the major developments of the season.
The season is therefore both a continuation of the existing Netflix story and a transition into its final stage. Netflix’s official cast and trailer materials present Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri’s separation as the central starting point rather than treating Season 4 as a new standalone series.

Netflix’s public U.S. pricing display checked for this guide showed the following monthly prices:
| Netflix plan | Public U.S. price shown | Relevant feature | Who should consider it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard with ads | $8.99/month | Lowest listed monthly price | Viewers who want the least expensive way to watch and do not mind advertising |
| Standard | $19.99/month | 1080p video | Viewers who want a higher-resolution HD experience without moving to the top tier |
| Premium | $26.99/month | 4K, HDR, and spatial audio | Viewers with compatible equipment who specifically want Netflix’s highest listed playback features |
These prices are a snapshot, not a permanent rate card. Netflix can change prices, plan names, availability, and terms, and the amount shown at checkout can depend on your account and location.
What the plan changes—and what it does not
The plan affects features such as video quality and simultaneous-screen allowances. It does not turn The Witcher Season 4 into a Hulu, Prime Video, or Apple TV title. For most viewers, the practical choice is:
- Choose Standard with ads if keeping the monthly cost low matters most.
- Choose Standard if 1080p HD is important and you do not need the Premium tier’s 4K, HDR, and spatial-audio features.
- Choose Premium only if your television, streaming device, network, cables, and ports can support the higher-quality playback and you will actually use those features.
Do not assume that paying for Premium automatically produces a 4K image. Netflix says playback quality also depends on the device, cables, ports, network, and the rest of the connected equipment.

Netflix vs. Hulu vs. Prime Video vs. Apple TV
These services are not interchangeable. The best choice depends on whether you are trying to watch one specific Netflix original, follow current television, rent or buy individual titles, or focus on a curated group of platform-exclusive shows.
Netflix: best for The Witcher and Netflix originals
Netflix is the essential service for The Witcher Season 4 in the United States. Its official title page lists four seasons, and the Season 4 trailer labels the season as available only on Netflix.
Netflix is also the most natural fit if your watchlist includes other Netflix originals, serialized fantasy, and shows designed to be watched as complete seasons. Profiles, subtitle and audio selections, and downloads for supported titles make it practical for households and viewers who watch away from home.
Rank #2
- 4K streaming made simple:With America’s number 1 TV streaming platform,* exploring popular apps—plus tons of free movies, shows, and live TV—is as easy as it is fun. *Based on hours streamed—Hypothesis Group
- 4K picture quality: With Roku Streaming Stick Plus, watch your favorites with brilliant 4K picture and vivid HDR color.
- Compact without compromises: Our sleek design won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, and it even powers from your TV alone, plugging into the back and staying out of sight. No wall outlet, no extra cords, no clutter.
- No more juggling remotes: Power up your TV, adjust the volume, and control your Roku device with one remote. Use your voice to quickly search, play entertainment, and more.
- Shows on the go: Take your TV to-go when traveling—without needing to log into someone else’s device.
Choose Netflix if: your immediate goal is Season 4, you watch Netflix originals regularly, or you want Netflix’s download and plan-based quality options.
Important limitation: Netflix’s catalog is geography-sensitive. A title available in the U.S. may not be available in another country, and the catalog can change over time.
Hulu: best for current-season television and Hulu Originals
Hulu’s official service description emphasizes full seasons of exclusive series, current-season episodes, Hulu Originals, movies, and children’s programming. Its monthly additions schedule is useful when you want to track what has recently entered the service, including date-sensitive monthly listings.
Hulu is a strong choice for viewers who use streaming as a replacement or supplement for traditional television and want current-season programming alongside a rotating library. It is not, however, the confirmed U.S. streaming home of The Witcher Season 4. Netflix’s official materials identify Netflix as the service for the season.
Public Hulu pages checked for this guide displayed several pricing contexts rather than one universal price:
- A standalone Hulu page displayed Hulu with ads at $11.99/month.
- The same pricing materials displayed Hulu Premium at $18.99/month.
- A Disney+ and Hulu bundle with ads was displayed from $12.99/month.
Bundle terms, advertising, included services, and prices can change. Check whether you are viewing a standalone plan or a bundle before comparing Hulu’s price with Netflix’s.
Choose Hulu if: you prioritize current-season television, Hulu Originals, and a changing selection of movies and series. Do not subscribe to Hulu expecting Season 4 to be included.
Prime Video: best for included titles plus rentals, purchases, and add-on channels
Prime Video has a different structure from a service whose storefront contains only one subscription catalog. Amazon’s video service combines programming included with a Prime Video or Amazon Prime membership, titles available to rent or buy, and additional channel subscriptions that are handled separately.
That mixed storefront is useful if you want one place to find subscription programming and occasionally pay for an individual movie or season rather than adding another recurring service. It also means that seeing a title in Prime Video’s search results does not necessarily mean it is included with your existing subscription.
Before watching any particular show or movie on Prime Video, look for the exact access label on the title page: included with your plan, available to rent, available to buy, or supplied through an additional channel. Prime Video’s storefront can present these options close together.
Choose Prime Video if: you value a mixture of included streaming, digital rentals, purchases, and optional channel subscriptions. For The Witcher Season 4, do not assume inclusion; use a current title-page check rather than relying on a general Prime membership.

- Breathtaking picture quality: Stunningly sharp 4K picture brings out rich detail in your entertainment with four times the resolution of HD. Watch as colors pop off your screen and enjoy lifelike clarity with Dolby Vision and HDR10+.
- Seamless streaming for any room: With Roku Streaming Stick 4K, watch your favorite entertainment on any TV in the house, even in rooms farther from your router thanks to the long-range Wi-Fi receiver.

- Compact without compromises: Our sleek design won’t block neighboring HDMI ports, so you can switch from streaming to gaming with ease. Plus, it’s designed to stay hidden behind your TV, keeping wires neatly out of sight
Apple TV: best for a curated Apple Original lineup
Apple’s current consumer-facing branding is Apple TV, although many viewers still search for Apple TV+. The subscription provides Apple Original shows and movies, with new releases each week. Apple’s public page checked for this guide displayed the service at $12.99/month after a seven-day free trial and also showed a Peacock bundle from $14.99/month. Offers and eligibility can change.
Apple’s highlighted lineup includes series such as Severance, The Studio, Slow Horses, Ted Lasso, Silo, and The Morning Show. Apple’s subscription is designed around its own original programming rather than being a comprehensive replacement for Netflix, Hulu, or Prime Video.
Do not confuse the Apple TV app with the Apple TV subscription. The app can display content available for rental, purchase, or through third-party services, but Apple states that its subscription does not include third-party subscription services or every title offered for rent or purchase in the app. It does not include Netflix or The Witcher Season 4.
Choose Apple TV if: you want a smaller, curated lineup of Apple Originals and frequent weekly releases. It is not the service to choose for Season 4.

How to check availability before you pay
Streaming rights are tied to geography, account terms, and changing licensing arrangements. Use this checklist before starting a subscription or rental:
- Confirm your country and account region. The answer in this guide is for the United States. The Netflix catalog is not identical in every country.
- Search the exact title inside the service you plan to use. On Netflix, open the dedicated The Witcher page and confirm that Season 4 appears among the listed seasons.
- Check whether the title is included. On Prime Video especially, distinguish included access from a rental, purchase, or channel subscription.
- Review the checkout screen. Confirm the monthly price, advertising status, trial terms, bundle contents, taxes where applicable, and renewal terms before accepting.
- Check the playback options. Look for available audio, subtitle, quality, and download choices on your device. Labels can vary by device, app version, language, and region.
Do not treat a search result from a third-party guide as proof of current availability. A direct title page in your own account is the more useful final check.

Downloads, subtitles, and watching away from home
Netflix’s official title page indicates that The Witcher is available for offline download. In a supported Netflix app, open the series or episode page and look for the download control. If it is not displayed, check the device and app being used, because download support is not the same as watching through every browser or television interface.
For subtitles or alternate audio, open the audio and subtitle controls while playing an episode and select from the options shown for your account and device. The available languages can differ by region and title. Downloading an episode does not guarantee that every audio or subtitle track offered during online playback will be available offline.
What you need for 4K playback
Netflix says 4K playback depends on more than the subscription tier. You need a Premium plan, a supported device and display, a suitable network connection, and compatible cables and ports throughout the playback chain.
Netflix’s help guidance identifies 15 Mbps or higher as a requirement for 4K playback on supported Windows setups. It also notes that every connected display and relevant cable or port must meet the required standard. A 4K television connected through an incompatible device, cable, or port may not receive 4K video.

- Test the network connection and compare it with Netflix’s 15 Mbps guidance for supported Windows playback.

Changing the plan can remove one limitation, but it cannot make unsupported hardware, ports, cables, or network conditions compatible with 4K.

Why a VPN may not solve a missing title
Netflix warns that a VPN can change the apparent location of your connection and may limit you to titles available under worldwide licensing. That makes a VPN an unreliable solution for finding a particular season.
If Season 4 does not appear, first verify your account region, the service you are using, the app, and the title page itself. A VPN should not be presented as a guaranteed method of accessing a title that is unavailable in your location, and availability can also be governed by local licensing rules.
Read the books behind the Netflix series
If watching Season 4 leaves you wanting more Witcher lore, the most useful companion is Andrzej Sapkowski’s book series. Hachette Book Group’s official series page identifies Sapkowski as the author, lists the books in order, and describes them as the source material that inspired the Netflix show.

A practical reading path begins with the two short-story collections: The Last Wish, followed by Sword of Destiny. The main saga then continues through Blood of Elves, Time of Contempt, Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and The Lady of the Lake. Season of Storms is a separate Witcher novel that readers commonly place after the main saga.
For readers who want the short stories in print, the The Witcher Stories boxed set collects The Last Wish and Sword of Destiny. For the central novel sequence, the The Witcher Saga boxed set is the more relevant option. Edition contents, price, retailer availability, and stock can change, so check the specific edition before buying.
The books are source material rather than a replacement for a Netflix subscription. They also provide a different route through the characters and world, so a book’s events, order, or emphasis should not be assumed to match the television adaptation scene for scene.
Which service should you choose?
- You want The Witcher Season 4: choose Netflix in the U.S.
- You want current-season television and Hulu Originals: compare Hulu’s standalone and bundle plans.
- You want flexibility between subscriptions, rentals, purchases, and channels: Prime Video is the most natural fit, but inspect each title’s access label.
- You want Apple’s original series and movies: choose Apple TV, understanding that its subscription does not include Netflix or third-party services.
- You want the books: begin with the short-story collections or choose the boxed set that matches whether you want the stories or the main saga.
The lowest advertised monthly price is not automatically the lowest total cost if you need multiple services. Make a list of the specific shows and movies you plan to watch, check which service currently includes each title, and compare the final account prices rather than relying on an old catalog list.

Is Apple TV+ different from Apple TV?
Apple’s current consumer-facing branding is Apple TV, although many viewers still call the subscription Apple TV+. The subscription covers Apple Originals, but it does not include Netflix, third-party subscription services, or every title available for rental or purchase in the Apple TV app.
Can I download The Witcher Season 4 to watch offline?
Netflix’s U.S. title page indicates that The Witcher supports offline downloads on supported devices. Open the title or episode page in a supported Netflix app and look for the download control. Download and language options can vary by device, app, and region.

Recheck the title page, plan terms, and final price before subscribing because streaming catalogs and pricing change.
