Fallout Season 2’s final two episodes were released earlier than viewers initially expected. Episode 7, “The Handoff,” premiered on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. PT/9:00 p.m. ET. The finale, Episode 8, “The Strip,” followed on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at the same time. Both episodes are now available, and all eight Season 2 episodes are streaming exclusively on Prime Video.
Fallout Season 2 Episodes 7 and 8 release schedule
| Episode | Title | Release date | U.S. release time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Episode 7 | “The Handoff” | Tuesday, January 27, 2026 | 6:00 p.m. PT/9:00 p.m. ET |
| Episode 8 | “The Strip” — Season 2 finale | Tuesday, February 3, 2026 | 6:00 p.m. PT/9:00 p.m. ET |
What changed about the release time?
Earlier episodes of Season 2 followed a weekly release pattern associated with an overnight Wednesday launch. For the final two episodes, Prime Video moved the U.S. release six hours earlier, into a Tuesday evening viewing slot.
That change meant viewers in the United States could watch each episode at 6:00 p.m. Pacific or 9:00 p.m. Eastern instead of waiting for the overnight window. The episodes were still released one week apart: Episode 7 arrived on January 27, and Episode 8 arrived on February 3.
Did Episodes 7 and 8 release at the same time?
No. “The Handoff” and “The Strip” did not drop together. Episode 7 was released on January 27, followed by the finale exactly one week later on February 3. The “early” change applied to the time of each individual release, not to the spacing between the episodes.

Why the final episodes were moved
The schedule change was confirmed as a timing adjustment, but no specific strategic reason has been established in the available reporting. It is safer to describe the move as a six-hour advancement into Tuesday primetime than to claim that Amazon made it for a particular ratings, marketing, or audience strategy.
Fallout Season 2, New Vegas, and the games
Season 2 takes the television story through the Mojave wasteland toward New Vegas, a setting closely associated with Fallout: New Vegas. Amazon’s season guide identifies New Vegas as a central location, while Bethesda’s companion material points viewers toward the game as a way to explore more of the Mojave and its wider world.
For viewers who want more of that setting after finishing the season, Fallout: New Vegas is an optional place to start. It is a separate game—not a required prequel to the television series—and its story should not be treated as a direct episode-by-episode continuation of the show.

A note for collectors
Bethesda also announced a Fallout: New Vegas 15th Anniversary Bundle for PC in 2026. The announced package includes the Fallout: New Vegas Ultimate Edition digital PC game code, six add-on packs, and physical items such as a Victor statue, enamel pin, patches, evaluation cards, and a collector’s box. It is best understood as a game-and-collectibles bundle, not merchandise from the Fallout television episodes. Check the current retailer listing for availability and pricing before buying.
