Why the June 2024 allegation revived a four-year-old ban
Twitch permanently banned Dr Disrespect in June 2020, but it did not publish a case-specific reason. The platform’s contemporaneous public communications discussed investigations and permanent suspensions generally, without naming Beahm or releasing the evidence behind his individual ban.
For years, that left the public with the fact of the ban but not a confirmed explanation. The subject returned to the news on June 21, 2024, when Cody Conners, who identified himself as a former Twitch employee, alleged that Beahm had been banned for inappropriate communications with a minor using Twitch’s private messaging system.
The allegation was not the same thing as a public Twitch case file. Midnight Society ended its relationship with him

Was Dr Disrespect convicted or legally declared a predator?
