Peter Doocy and Hillary Vaughn married in South Carolina in April 2021. Both are journalists associated with Fox News Media, and their public family story includes the birth of their daughter Bridget in 2023 and a 2026 announcement that they were expecting their third baby.
Peter Doocy and Hillary Vaughn married in South Carolina in April 2021. The couple are both television journalists associated with Fox News Media: Doocy is a senior White House correspondent, while Vaughn has been identified as a correspondent for FOX Business and Fox News.
Their public story is defined by three confirmed facts: a 2021 wedding, the birth of their first daughter in 2023, and a later announcement that they were expecting their third baby. Much of the personal history surrounding the relationship—including when they met, how long they dated, and the details of their ceremony—has not been firmly documented by authoritative sources.
When did Peter Doocy and Hillary Vaughn get married?
Peter Doocy and Hillary Vaughn married in April 2021 in South Carolina. Fox News documented the marriage in a Fox & Friends video segment published on April 26, 2021. The segment included photographs shared by Steve Doocy, Peter’s father and a longtime Fox News television host.
#1 Best Overall
The official coverage establishes the month and state, but it does not provide a confirmed exact wedding date, venue, complete guest list, or detailed account of the ceremony. Reports describing the wedding as especially small or private should therefore be treated cautiously unless supported by a primary source.
Who are Peter Doocy and Hillary Vaughn?
Doocy and Vaughn are married colleagues whose careers are connected to the Fox News Media organization, although they are not generally presented as a regular on-air reporting team.
- Peter Doocy: Fox News identifies him as a senior White House correspondent. His work focuses on the presidency, the White House, and national political news.
- Hillary Vaughn: Fox News reporting has identified her as a Washington-based correspondent for FOX Business, and other Fox material has described her as a Fox News/Fox Business correspondent.
Their professional overlap helps explain the public interest in their marriage, but it does not establish that they routinely report together or share an on-air program. The most accurate description is that they are two journalists working within the same broader media ecosystem.
Peter Doocy and Hillary Vaughn’s children
Bridget Blake Doocy
The couple’s first publicly reported child, Bridget Blake Doocy, was born on February 1, 2023. Fox News reported that Bridget weighed eight pounds, one ounce and was the first child of Peter Doocy and Hillary Vaughn.
Rank #2
Her birth also made Steve Doocy and his wife, Kathy Doocy, grandparents for the first time. The announcement brought the couple’s family life into public view while still leaving most day-to-day details private.
George Jack Doocy
Secondary reports have identified the couple’s second child as George Jack Doocy, born in April 2025. That name and timing should be attributed to secondary coverage rather than presented as though every detail has been independently confirmed in the official Fox material reviewed for this article.
The distinction matters because the available official reporting confirms the couple’s later announcement about expecting a third baby, but does not itself provide a complete account of the second child’s birth.
The announcement of a third baby
On May 31, 2026, Fox News reported that Doocy announced on air that Vaughn was pregnant with the couple’s third baby. This establishes that the couple had at least two children before that announcement.
Rank #3
It does not, however, establish that the third baby had been born. The available reporting should therefore be described as an announcement that Vaughn was expecting a third child—not as confirmation that the couple already had three children.
How did Peter Doocy and Hillary Vaughn meet?
A fully documented, authoritative account of how Doocy and Vaughn met is not available in the sources reviewed. The same is true of an exact dating timeline, engagement date, proposal story, and other early-relationship details.
Because both journalists work in Washington-focused television news, it may seem reasonable to assume that their professional circles brought them together. That remains an inference, not a confirmed fact, and should not be stated as their meeting story without a direct interview or other reliable primary source.
What is known about their wedding?
The confirmed details are limited but clear: Doocy and Vaughn married in South Carolina in April 2021, and Fox News publicly covered the marriage shortly afterward through a Fox & Friends segment featuring wedding photographs.

Nor is there a reliable primary-source account describing the event in greater detail. Those omissions appear consistent with the couple’s generally private approach to personal information.
Why the marriage attracts attention
Doocy and Vaughn have an unusual public profile because they are both recognizable journalists working for Fox News-related outlets. Doocy regularly appears in coverage of the White House, while Vaughn has reported for FOX Business and Fox News from Washington.
Their marriage is therefore of interest to viewers who follow the network’s personalities, but the available record is more limited than many celebrity relationship profiles. Public reporting supports a concise account of their marriage, careers, and family announcements; it does not support speculation about their private relationship dynamics.

There is no reliable basis in the reviewed reporting for claims about the couple’s private disagreements, religion, household finances, medical information, parenting arrangements, or relationship quality. Public appearances and family announcements cannot establish those matters.
