Why Japan’s date can look different
The Japanese television schedule used the notation January 18 at 24:00 JST. Japanese broadcast listings commonly use “24:00” to mean midnight at the end of the listed day. In ordinary calendar terms, that is January 19 at 12:00 a.m. JST.
This does not mean that every viewer received the episode on January 19. The Japanese schedule corresponds to 3:00 p.m. UTC on January 18, while the international Crunchyroll release was reported at 5:30 p.m. UTC on January 18. For viewers in the United States, the relevant date was January 18.
