The surgeon identified as being behind Kris Jenner’s recent facelift is Dr. Steven M. Levine, a New York City aesthetic and reconstructive plastic surgeon. Jenner’s representative confirmed Levine’s involvement in May 2025, and Jenner later discussed the procedure herself in an interview with Vogue Arabia and on the Not Skinny But Not Fat podcast.
The exact date of the operation and the complete list of procedures have not been made public. Jenner has described the work as a facelift—and as a “refresh” of an earlier facelift—but photographs alone cannot establish whether she also had a neck lift, brow lift, eyelid surgery, fat grafting, injectables, or a particular facelift technique.
Who performed Kris Jenner’s latest facelift?
Dr. Steven M. Levine performed Jenner’s recent facelift, according to her representative and Jenner’s own subsequent public comments. The news emerged after Jenner’s appearance in Paris in May 2025 drew widespread attention to her noticeably refreshed appearance.

In her interview with Vogue Arabia, Jenner said she had undergone a facelift approximately 15 years earlier and felt it was time for a “refresh.” She presented the decision as her personal way of aging gracefully—not as an attempt to deny that she was getting older.
Jenner also said that daughter Kylie accompanied her, while Kim Kardashian stayed involved by FaceTime. Those details describe the family’s involvement, but they do not reveal the surgery’s precise date, operative plan, or recovery course.
What is known about Steven M. Levine?
Levine’s official practice biography describes him as a board-certified plastic surgeon specializing in cosmetic surgery of the face, breast, and body. He trained at New York University, spent more than seven years in the private practice of surgeon Daniel C. Baker, and opened his own practice in 2019.
His practice operates an accredited outpatient facility in Manhattan. Those credentials provide relevant background about Levine’s training and practice, but celebrity association should not be treated as a substitute for researching a surgeon’s qualifications, facility accreditation, approach, and documented results.

Jenner’s earlier facelift was performed by Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Garth Fisher in 2011. She confirmed Fisher’s role in a comment on one of his Instagram posts, and the earlier procedure was also documented on Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
That makes the recent operation a second publicly discussed facelift, roughly 15 years after the first one. The comparison should still be made cautiously: Jenner has not published her medical records, operative report, or a detailed account of what was changed in the newer procedure.

Was it a deep-plane or SMAS facelift?
That has not been confirmed.
Coverage and social-media discussion have variously speculated about a deep-plane facelift, a SMAS facelift, a neck lift, brow surgery, eyelid surgery, fat grafting, and injectable treatments. Neither Jenner nor Levine has publicly released a definitive list of procedures or stated that a particular technique was used.
Some professional commentary has connected Levine’s practice with techniques such as a lateral SMASectomy and a deep structural neck lift. That describes procedures associated with his practice; it does not prove that either technique was used on Jenner. As the American Society of Plastic Surgeons explains, technique choice depends on a patient’s anatomy and surgical goals, and cannot be reliably determined from a photograph.
Terms such as “deep plane” and “SMAS” are not meaningful substitutes for evaluating a surgeon’s qualifications, judgment, communication, and documented results. A photograph cannot show which tissue layers were operated on.
Can photographs prove what procedures Kris Jenner had?
No. Public photographs can show that someone looks different, but they cannot establish a surgical diagnosis.
Images circulated in coverage of Jenner have often included professional makeup, sunglasses, carefully controlled lighting, filters, and different facial expressions. Those variables can change how facial contours appear. They also cannot distinguish reliably between surgery, injectables, skincare, weight changes, makeup, normal healing, and camera effects.
For that reason, it is responsible to report the facelift Jenner has acknowledged and the surgeon who has been identified, while treating claims about additional procedures as unverified.

What is a facelift?
A facelift, medically called a rhytidectomy, is surgery intended to improve visible signs of aging in the face and neck. Depending on the patient’s anatomy and the surgeon’s plan, the operation may involve repositioning or tightening deeper support tissues, removing or redistributing excess skin, and addressing the jawline or neck.
It is not the same as a nonsurgical “liquid facelift,” and it cannot be evaluated accurately from a single before-and-after image. A facelift also does not stop the natural aging process. Results vary according to factors including anatomy, skin quality, healing, sun exposure, smoking, weight changes, and the details of the operation.
What is facelift recovery generally like?
Jenner has not disclosed her personal postoperative records or a complete recovery timeline. General guidance therefore should not be presented as a description of her experience.
According to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons’ facelift recovery guidance:
Recommended Free Tools
- Bruising and swelling are usually most pronounced during the first several days.
- Many patients begin returning to work and light activity around the second week, depending on the operation and their recovery.
- Tightness, numbness, residual swelling, and changing scars can continue for months.
- Recovery timelines differ substantially between patients and techniques.
People considering surgery should follow their own surgeon’s instructions rather than use a celebrity’s appearance or schedule as a benchmark.
What are the risks of a facelift?
Facelift surgery is elective surgery, but it is still a major medical procedure. The ASPS safety information for facelifts lists possible risks including anesthesia complications, bleeding, infection, fluid accumulation, nerve injury, numbness, prolonged swelling, poor wound healing, scarring, asymmetry, and an unsatisfactory result.

Anyone considering a facelift should discuss the likely benefits, limitations, alternatives, anesthesia, recovery restrictions, warning signs, revision possibilities, and total costs with a properly qualified, board-certified plastic surgeon. A consultation should also include an assessment of the individual’s medical history and goals—not a promise to reproduce a celebrity’s face.
Are reports that Kris Jenner’s facelift is “slipping” confirmed?
No. Reports published in 2026 claiming that Jenner’s facelift was “slipping” or that she wanted revision surgery remain unverified.

Allure reported that the claims were hearsay and included a conflicting statement from Beverly Hills surgeon Charles Galanis, who said he had heard the rumor was not true. Only Jenner and Levine can confirm whether she is satisfied with the results or whether any follow-up procedure has been planned.
Changes in a healing face, ordinary aging, makeup, lighting, image filters, and camera angles can all be misread as evidence that a facelift has failed or requires revision. Online commentary cannot establish any of those conclusions.

The facelift quickly became more than a medical-news story. Jenner’s refreshed appearance generated a viral reaction, including “I’ll have what Kris Jenner is having,” a phrase later used for merchandise associated with Rob Kardashian’s Arthur George brand. El País reported that the collaboration included a T-shirt and baseball cap.
Availability and current sales arrangements can change, so the merchandise should not be confused with a medical recommendation or assumed to be available through Amazon. Likewise, there is no reliable basis for attributing any particular recovery product, supplement, compression garment, skincare product, or LED device to Jenner.

The bottom line
Dr. Steven M. Levine has been identified as the surgeon behind Kris Jenner’s recent facelift. Jenner has confirmed that she had a facelift refresh after an earlier procedure performed by Garth Fisher in 2011. Beyond that, the exact surgical techniques and any additional procedures remain undisclosed.
The most accurate conclusion is narrower than much of the online speculation: the surgeon is known, the facelift is publicly acknowledged, and the rest should not be diagnosed from photographs.
