What remains unclear is his private and professional relationship with 7M Films and Shekinah Church. No authoritative source reviewed for this article confirms that White formally left either organization, remains a member, or moved to Underscore Talent. No verified public statement from White addressing the Netflix documentary was located either.
Who is Vik White?
Vik White is the professional name of Slavik Pustovoytov, a Ukrainian-born dancer known for hip-hop and freestyle performance. Secondary biographical reporting says that he trained in the United States, spent parts of his career in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, and gained a national audience during season 15 of So You Think You Can Dance, where he reportedly finished fourth.

He has also been described as a choreographer and social-media influencer. Reporting placed his association with 7M Films in 2021. However, claims concerning 7M Films, its founder Robert Shinn and Shekinah Church should be described as allegations and accounts presented by former members, families and the documentary—not as a court-established finding or a conclusion that applies automatically to every dancer connected with the company.
What was Netflix’s documentary about?
Dancing for the Devil: The 7M TikTok Cult is a three-part Netflix documentary about TikTok dancers who joined a management company associated with a church and later became connected to allegations involving its founder, Robert Shinn. The series focuses on dancers and former members, their families, efforts to leave, and attempts to understand what happened within the group.
The three episodes are:
- “Part I: Die to Yourself”
- “Part II: The Escape”
- “Part III: Reap What You Sow”
White was part of the wider 7M-related story, but he was not the documentary’s central subject. The principal narrative follows Miranda Wilking—also known as Miranda Derrick—her family, former members and allegations surrounding Shinn. That distinction matters: appearing in or being discussed in the series does not mean White made the same claims, reached the same conclusions or experienced the same events as the people at the center of the documentary.
What has Vik White done since the series?
He continued dancing and creating online
Post-documentary reporting describes White as continuing to work as a dancer, choreographer and social-media creator. It also reports collaborations with dancers associated with 7M. Those collaborations demonstrate continued professional proximity within parts of the dance community, but they do not prove that White currently belongs to 7M Films or Shekinah Church.
This is the most reliable broad conclusion available: his public career did not disappear after the Netflix series. He continued to be visible through dance-related work and online content, while the details of his private affiliations remained unconfirmed.

He moved into film acting
White was reported to have a role in The Idea of You, the Prime Video romantic drama starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galitzine. His role was identified as Simon, a member of the fictional boy band August Moon.
The casting is a concrete example of White broadening his professional work beyond dance performance and choreography. It should not be overstated as evidence of a major acting career, but it does show that he continued taking entertainment opportunities after the documentary.
He appeared in a Taiwan tourism campaign in 2025
In April 2025, Taiwan-focused reporting said White joined fellow dancers Fik-Shun Stegall and Lauren Gibson to film dance videos in locations around Taiwan. The videos were connected with a tourism-promotion effort involving Taiwan’s tourism authorities and partners.

White was quoted in an Instagram post saying that he had danced around Taiwan and enjoyed exploring the country. Because the campaign was dated, separately reported and unrelated to the Netflix controversy, it provides useful evidence that he remained active in public dance and creator work after the series.
His YouTube presence continued to show indexed activity
A third-party Social Blade listing indexed in June 2026 showed White’s YouTube channel at approximately 789,000 subscribers, more than 259 million views and 203 videos. These figures are tracker estimates, not official statistics published by White, and they can change over time.

The figures therefore should not be treated as a precise current count. They do, however, support the narrower observation that his public creator channel remained active or continued accumulating indexed activity after the documentary.
Did Vik White leave 7M Films or Shekinah Church?
There is no verified public confirmation that he formally left either organization. The available reporting associates White with 7M and describes continued collaborations with people in the 7M orbit. Neither fact establishes his current status.
There is also no verified first-party announcement confirming that White is represented by Underscore Talent. Underscore describes itself as a creator-management company offering services involving brand partnerships, social media, entertainment and product development, but the public company pages reviewed for this article did not identify White as a client.
The responsible wording is therefore:
Vik White’s later public career is documented, but his current relationship with 7M Films or Shekinah Church has not been publicly verified.
That means readers should be cautious with headlines or social posts claiming that White “escaped the cult,” “remains in the cult,” “left 7M” or “switched to Underscore.” None of those definitive claims was established by the research reviewed here.

The safest statement is that no verified public response was located. It would be inaccurate to assign White a position on the allegations involving Shinn, Shekinah Church or 7M Films without a direct, attributable statement from him.
For comparison, Miranda Derrick publicly disputed the documentary’s portrayal of her and said that she was not being abused or harmed. That was Derrick’s statement about her own situation; it should not be generalized to White or any other dancer.

For readers interested in White’s dance style
White’s public career is rooted in hip-hop and freestyle dance. Readers inspired to practice those styles may encounter dance sneakers for practice from specialist brands such as Capezio or Bloch. Footwear should be chosen for fit, floor compatibility, support and the specific studio’s rules—not because of any claim that White endorsed, tested or personally used a particular product.
Important: this is a general equipment note, not a product endorsement or a claim about White’s personal gear.
The bottom line
After Dancing for the Devil, Vik White remained publicly active as a dancer, choreographer and online creator, added a reported acting credit in The Idea of You, and took part in a Taiwan tourism campaign in 2025. His YouTube channel also showed continued indexed activity in the latest third-party data reviewed.
