Is Fergie Still Making Music? What She’s Been Up to Since the Black Eyed Peas

Fergie is still connected to music, but she has not announced a conventional solo comeback. Here is what her 2025 “London Bridge” project, 2026 Black Eyed Peas reunion, albums, family life, and business work reveal.

Yes—but only occasionally. Fergie has not announced retirement, yet there is no public evidence of a conventional solo comeback or a confirmed third album. Her clearest recent music activity is a 2025 “London Bridge” video tied to Netflix’s Too Much and a reported 2026 reunion appearance with the Black Eyed Peas.

Yes—but not in the way fans might expect. Fergie has not announced her retirement from music, and she remains connected to her solo catalog and former Black Eyed Peas bandmates. However, the available evidence does not show a conventional comeback: there is no publicly confirmed third solo album, release date, lead single, or sustained promotional campaign.

Her recent activity is better described as selective and high-profile. In 2025, she revisited “London Bridge” in a new music video connected to Netflix’s Too Much. In 2026, she appeared with will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo at the American Music Awards. Those projects show that she is still willing to participate in music-related work, but neither confirms a new album nor establishes that she has permanently rejoined the Black Eyed Peas.

What is Fergie doing now?

Fergie’s current public music profile has three main parts:

  • Maintaining a highly recognizable solo catalog, especially The Dutchess and Double Dutchess.
  • Taking part in occasional new music-related projects, such as the 2025 “London Bridge” video tied to Too Much.
  • Making selective public appearances with the Black Eyed Peas, including the group’s reported 2026 American Music Awards reunion appearance.

What is missing is just as important: there is no credible public confirmation of a new Fergie album campaign as of August 12, 2026. Apple Music’s artist page continues to foreground her established releases rather than a newly announced project.

Why did Fergie leave the Black Eyed Peas?

Fergie’s regular participation in the Black Eyed Peas ended around 2017, although the public story developed gradually and was not always described consistently at the time.

Fergie joined the group during the development of Elephunk and became a central part of the lineup that transformed the Black Eyed Peas into one of the biggest pop acts of the 2000s. Her vocals and image were prominent on songs including “My Humps,” “Boom Boom Pow,” “I Gotta Feeling,” and “Meet Me Halfway.”

In 2017, her representatives said she was concentrating on her solo work. Will.i.am described her as family and indicated that the group supported her efforts. Around the same period, Fergie moved away from Universal Music Group and established Dutchess Music through BMG.

The safest description is that Fergie’s regular role in the group ended in or around 2017, while the relationship with her former bandmates was not necessarily severed. The Black Eyed Peas continued without her, working with other vocalists, including J. Rey Soul, and releasing music after Fergie’s departure.

That distinction matters. “Fergie left the Black Eyed Peas” describes the end of her regular participation. It does not necessarily mean that she cut off contact with will.i.am, apl.de.ap, or Taboo, nor does it mean that every later appearance represents a permanent reunion.

Fergie’s solo albums: The Dutchess and Double Dutchess

Fergie’s solo career has produced two major studio albums.

The Dutchess (2006)

The Dutchess established Fergie as a solo star outside the Black Eyed Peas. The album produced several major singles, including:

  • “London Bridge”
  • “Fergalicious”
  • “Glamorous”
  • “Big Girls Don’t Cry”
  • “Clumsy”

Its mix of pop, hip-hop, R&B, and dance music helped define Fergie’s solo identity. Fans revisiting the record can find Fergie’s debut album The Dutchess in physical CD and vinyl editions through catalog retailers.

Double Dutchess (2017)

Fergie’s second solo album, Double Dutchess, arrived on September 22, 2017. Amazon Music lists it as a 13-song release running approximately 57 minutes. The project was accompanied by a visual-album presentation, reflecting Fergie’s interest in treating the album as both a musical and visual work.

The record followed a long gap after The Dutchess and included collaborations and stylistic shifts rather than simply reproducing the sound of her debut. It remains her latest documented full-length solo album. Readers looking for that release can find Fergie’s Double Dutchess album in physical editions.

Her broader catalog also includes soundtrack and collaborative appearances. One notable example is “A Little Party Never Killed Nobody (All We Got),” recorded for The Great Gatsby soundtrack. These appearances are part of the reason it is more accurate to say that Fergie remains connected to music than to suggest that she disappeared from it completely.

What was the 2025 “London Bridge” video?

In July 2025, Fergie revisited “London Bridge” in a new video with comedian and actor Megan Stalter. The project was connected to Too Much, the Netflix series created by Lena Dunham and starring Stalter.

The video played with a long-running detail about the original “London Bridge” video: despite the song’s title, much of the earlier video was filmed around Tower Bridge rather than the actual London Bridge. The 2025 version addressed the joke by placing Fergie and Stalter at the real London Bridge.

Netflix’s official title information lists “Fergie: London Bridge Music Video” among the 2025 material associated with Too Much. This makes the project a genuine recent music-related appearance—not merely the use of an old song in a television soundtrack.

At the same time, it should not be mislabeled as a brand-new Fergie single. The available information describes it as a reworked music video and promotional collaboration connected to the series. It is evidence that Fergie was willing to return to one of her signature songs for a current project, but it is not evidence that a new solo album was about to follow.

Did Fergie reunite with the Black Eyed Peas?

Fergie appeared with will.i.am, apl.de.ap, and Taboo at the 2026 American Music Awards. Reports described the appearance as a reunion of the group’s best-known commercial-era lineup, with the Black Eyed Peas recognized for “Rock That Body.”

The appearance is significant because it demonstrates that Fergie has not completely withdrawn from the group’s public orbit. It also gave fans a rare opportunity to see the classic lineup together again.

But one awards-show appearance does not establish all of the things fans may hope it means. The available reporting does not confirm:

  • a permanent return to the Black Eyed Peas;
  • a new Black Eyed Peas album featuring Fergie;
  • a tour by the original commercial-era lineup; or
  • a new Fergie solo project.

Earlier 2026 coverage discussed the possibility of a reunion, but discussion of a reunion is different from a formal long-term plan. For now, the awards appearance is best understood as a high-profile reunion moment rather than proof of a fully restored working lineup.

Is Fergie making a new album?

There is no publicly confirmed new Fergie solo album as of August 12, 2026. No credible source identified in the current research confirms a title, release date, lead single, label campaign, or official announcement for a third solo album.

That does not prove that Fergie has never recorded privately or that she will never release music again. Artists can work outside the public eye, and plans can change before an official announcement. The accurate conclusion is narrower: there is currently no confirmed new album campaign.

Her Apple Music artist listing continues to emphasize The Dutchess, Double Dutchess, and her established collaborations. The clearest recent developments are the 2025 “London Bridge” video and the 2026 Black Eyed Peas appearance—not a sustained solo rollout.

Family life, co-parenting, and time away from the spotlight

Fergie has also spoken publicly about balancing work with motherhood. Her son, Axl Jack, became part of the context surrounding her return to music for Double Dutchess; he was credited on “Enchanté (Carine).”

In 2025, Josh Duhamel described his relationship with Fergie as an ongoing co-parenting relationship involving their son. This supports describing family life and co-parenting as an important part of her post-Black Eyed Peas period.

It would be too simplistic, however, to present motherhood or co-parenting as the sole explanation for Fergie’s reduced musical output. The public record supports saying that she has balanced family responsibilities with selective professional activity—not assigning a private motivation that she has not stated.

Fergie’s business and charitable interests

Fergie’s post-group identity has included more than recording and performing. Earlier reporting documented interests in fashion, sustainability, environmental initiatives such as Project Sunlight, and other entrepreneurial and commercial ventures.

Ferguson Crest, the winery founded with her father, is also frequently mentioned in profiles of her business activities. Its current operating status and product availability should be checked against a current official source before treating it as an actively operating 2026 venture. Older business coverage should not automatically be converted into a present-tense claim.

This wider range of work helps explain why a singer can remain active in entertainment and business without releasing music every year. Fergie’s public career after the Black Eyed Peas has not followed the regular album-tour-promotional cycle associated with her peak pop years.

So, is Fergie still making music?

Fergie is still connected to music, but she is not currently documented as being in the middle of a traditional solo comeback. Her 2025 “London Bridge” collaboration shows that she remains open to new music-related appearances. Her 2026 American Music Awards reunion shows that she can still share the stage with the Black Eyed Peas. Her two solo albums remain central to her catalog.

What has not happened—at least publicly—is the launch of a confirmed third solo era. Until Fergie or her representatives announce a new project, the most responsible description is “occasional music activity” rather than “full comeback.”

In practical terms, fans should read the recent appearances as signs of continued availability and connection, not as a promise of an imminent album or permanent band reunion.
