What happened to Joshua Blackledge?
Blackledge died at age 16 on March 18, 2025. Initial reports published in March did not publicly identify a cause of death. On June 11, 2025, Us Weekly reported that documents it obtained identified his death as suicide.
That chronology is important: the cause was not included in the first public reports, and the later finding should be understood as a document-based report rather than as information available when news of his death first emerged. Public reporting has not established a motive, and reported behavioral changes should not be treated as a diagnosis or explanation.
