What happened to Twitch Studio?
Twitch built Twitch Studio as a guided desktop broadcasting application for new streamers. Its setup process was intended to reduce the number of technical decisions beginners had to make before going live. The software could help configure a microphone and webcam, detect or use the monitor resolution, and suggest streaming bitrate settings.
It also brought several common streaming functions into one interface:

Choose one with a straightforward USB connection and a physical mute or gain control if you want an easier beginner setup. It is an accessory for a replacement streaming workflow, not a requirement for Twitch Studio.
A webcam can improve a camera-based broadcast, although a webcam is optional if your stream is focused on gameplay, narration, or a documentary-style presentation. A capture card is relevant mainly when bringing video from a console, camera, or second computer into the streaming PC; it is not necessary for ordinary PC screen streaming.

OBS Studio
OBS Studio is the main category to investigate if you want a maintained, flexible desktop broadcaster. It is suitable for scenes, sources, audio mixing, recording, and more advanced layouts, but it generally requires more manual configuration than Twitch Studio’s former guided experience.
