What Season 3 is about
Amazon’s official synopsis places the story five years after the fall of Eregion. The show continues to use a compressed version of Tolkien’s Second Age chronology, but the five-year interval is the more specific time jump given for this season.
By this point, Sauron’s forces have expanded across Middle-earth. Any reports claiming that individual props or brief images definitively reveal the Fall of Númenor, a particular battle, or another specific event should be treated as interpretation unless Amazon confirms those details.
