The 2021 announcement was a domain migration, not AnimeSuge’s final closure. AnimeSuge.io was reported as terminated and AnimeSuge.to was presented as the replacement in November 2021. AnimeSuge.to later shut down on or around August 27, 2024. Several replacement domains have since been advertised, but the available evidence does not establish a single official AnimeSuge website today.
What the 2021 AnimeSuge post actually meant
The Reddit post titled “AnimeSuge got terminated, and now has a new website.” referred to a domain change, not the permanent end of AnimeSuge. Published in r/AnimeSuge on November 7, 2021, it said that AnimeSuge.io had been terminated and that AnimeSuge.to was being used as the replacement.
That explanation is accurate for the events of 2021. It should not be read as evidence that AnimeSuge.to is a current or official website today.
AnimeSuge’s history in brief
| Date or period | What was reported | How confidently it can be stated |
|---|---|---|
| November 2021 | AnimeSuge.io was described as terminated, with AnimeSuge.to presented as its replacement. | Supported by the original Reddit post. |
| 2021–2022 | Users reported Cloudflare 522 errors, redirects and intermittent access problems. Some commenters mentioned .cc as well as .to. | Community reports; they did not establish one independently verified official domain. |
| August 27, 2024 | The original .to operation displayed a goodbye message and encouraged viewers to use legal paid services. | Reported during the shutdown period and discussed by contemporary coverage. |
| Late 2024 onward | Several sites using similar AnimeSuge names announced replacement domains, including .be, .pro, animesugetv.to and anisuge.tv. | Announcements came from Reddit accounts or site representatives, not a verifiable rights holder or corporate entity. |
| December 31, 2025 | A post claimed that animesuge.bz had been taken down and that animesuge.cz was the replacement, while calling anisuge.tv the primary domain. | A claim repeated on Reddit and Telegram, not independent confirmation of an official service. |
What happened to AnimeSuge.to in 2024?
AnimeSuge.to was later associated with a much broader shutdown. On August 27, 2024, the site displayed a goodbye message indicating that the service was closing and directing users toward legal paid anime services. The same period also saw the closure of AniWave, formerly known as 9anime, along with several other large anime-streaming sites.

Contemporary reporting described the closures as part of a wider international crackdown on anime piracy. However, the available evidence does not establish that the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment, or ACE, directly seized or operated the AnimeSuge shutdown. ACE had publicly claimed responsibility for the separate Animeflix shutdown earlier in 2024, but that is not proof of direct responsibility for AnimeSuge. AnimeHunch’s reporting discussed the wider shutdown, while TorrentFreak’s report on Animeflix concerns a different service.
Did AnimeSuge get a new website after the shutdown?
Several later announcements claimed to represent a successor or continuation, but they should be treated as claims rather than verified continuity.
Animesuge.be and Animesuge.pro
After the August 2024 closure, a Reddit announcement said that Animesuge.be and Animesuge.pro were new sites inspired by AnimeSuge’s interface. The announcement promoted features such as:
- MyAnimeList and AniList importing;
- skip-intro and skip-outro controls;
- continue-watching functionality; and
- notifications for newly released episodes.
Those features were advertised by a Reddit account rather than documented by a recognized rights holder or independently audited operator. The post’s assertion that the sites were “completely secure” was also not independently established. A familiar interface or feature list cannot by itself prove that a replacement site is operated by the original service.

Animesugetv.to and anisuge.tv
In September 2024, another subreddit announcement said that Animesuge.be had been taken down following a DMCA complaint and had moved to animesugetv.to. The same announcement named anisuge.tv as a website URL and described updates including watchlist tracking, corrected filters, soft subtitles, episode notifications and Continue Watching. These statements came from site representatives posting in the community; they were not accompanied by independently verifiable technical documentation. See the contemporaneous updates announcement and domain-change announcement.
The later .bz and .cz claims
A post dated December 31, 2025 claimed that animesuge.bz had been removed for DMCA reasons and that animesuge.cz was the replacement. It described anisuge.tv as the primary domain. An associated Telegram channel repeated the .bz takedown claim and promoted anisuge.tv.
These are the most recent claims in the supplied record, not proof of a stable, official current website. Domains can be copied, redirected, abandoned or operated by unrelated parties. The competing announcements themselves show why a domain name alone is not enough to authenticate a successor.
Is there an official AnimeSuge website now?
There is no independently verifiable, stable official AnimeSuge domain established by the available evidence. The names .be, .pro, animesugetv.to, .bz, .cz and anisuge.tv have all appeared in different replacement-domain announcements. That does not demonstrate that they are all the same service, or that any one of them is authorized or operated by the original AnimeSuge team.

Readers should also distinguish between an announcement made in the AnimeSuge subreddit and an announcement made by the service itself. In August 2024, the subreddit’s moderator stated that the subreddit was not affiliated with AnimeSuge and that the moderator did not know why the site was unavailable. The community can preserve useful historical information, but its posts are not automatically official statements. The moderator’s statement is available on Reddit.
Why old answers about AnimeSuge are misleading
- “AnimeSuge.to is the new site.” This was a reasonable description of the November 2021 migration from .io to .to. It is outdated as a statement about the present.
- “AnimeSuge was permanently terminated in 2021.” The 2021 post described a domain termination or migration. The more consequential shutdown occurred in August 2024.
- “ACE definitely took down AnimeSuge.” The broader crackdown is documented, but direct ACE responsibility for AnimeSuge has not been publicly verified.
- “Every site using the AnimeSuge name is the same service.” The succession of conflicting domain announcements does not support that conclusion.
- “The AnimeSuge subreddit is the official support channel.” The moderator explicitly disclaimed affiliation in August 2024.
What should former users do?
Former users should assume that an unverified replacement domain may be unrelated to the original service. Avoid entering an old password, payment information or email address into a site merely because it uses the AnimeSuge name. If an old AnimeSuge password was reused elsewhere, change it on the legitimate services where it was used and enable multi-factor authentication when available.
Be particularly cautious of pages that request browser extensions, executable downloads, notification permissions, cryptocurrency payments or account credentials before playing a video. A site’s claimed features—such as MAL import, watchlists or episode alerts—are not evidence that it is safe or authorized.
For dependable access, use licensed anime services available in your country and check the current availability of a particular series through the service’s own catalog. Availability, subtitles and simulcast rights vary by territory, so no single legal platform is guaranteed to carry every title.

Bottom line
The original Reddit title was about the 2021 move from AnimeSuge.io to AnimeSuge.to. AnimeSuge.to later shut down during the larger August 2024 wave of anime-piracy-site closures. Since then, multiple sites and community accounts have announced new AnimeSuge-related domains, but none is independently established by the available evidence as the single official, safe and permanent successor. Treat “new AnimeSuge website” posts as unverified domain claims, not as confirmation that the original service has returned.
Frequently Asked Questions
What did the original AnimeSuge Reddit post mean?
The original post meant that AnimeSuge.io had been replaced by AnimeSuge.to in November 2021. It did not mean AnimeSuge had permanently disappeared at that time.
What is the official AnimeSuge website now?
No independently verifiable, stable official domain is established in the available record. Later announcements mentioned several different domains, including .be, .pro, animesugetv.to, .bz, .cz and anisuge.tv.
Was AnimeSuge taken down by ACE?
The available reporting connects the closure to a broader crackdown on anime-piracy sites, but it does not publicly verify that ACE directly seized or operated the AnimeSuge shutdown.

Not necessarily. Several sites used the AnimeSuge name after 2024, but the conflicting announcements do not prove that they were operated by the original service.
The Bottom Line
In short: the 2021 post correctly described a move from AnimeSuge.io to AnimeSuge.to. That domain later closed in August 2024. Later .be, .pro, animesugetv.to, .bz, .cz and anisuge.tv announcements do not establish one official current AnimeSuge website.
