- Electrochemical sensor technology detects CO gas
- Easy installation, no wiring needed, detects during a power failure by operating on 2-AA batteries (included); Install on a wall of your home or place on a tabletop

According to the Solebury Township Police Department’s account, the investigation indicated that a faulty flue and exhaust pipe on a gas heating system caused the leak. Earlier reports used more preliminary wording, describing a possible heating-unit malfunction; the faulty flue and exhaust pipe is the more specific explanation released in the police update.
The affected space was described in reporting as a detached office, carriage house, cottage or in-law-style structure—not necessarily the main family residence. Family members in the main house were reported not to have been affected.
Two medics were taken to a hospital after exposure, and a police officer was treated at the scene, according to contemporaneous reporting by FOX 29 Philadelphia. The available reporting establishes the incident and the police explanation for the leak. It does not establish criminal liability, negligence, the length of the exposure, whether an alarm was present, or a final autopsy or coroner finding.
For that reason, the death should not be characterized as mysterious or suspicious. Based on the public police account, it was attributed to carbon-monoxide exposure associated with the faulty flue and exhaust pipe.

She also worked as a beauty spokesperson for major companies including Max Factor, Revlon, Estée Lauder and L’Oréal. Her work on beauty, wellness and aging
In later decades, Haddon’s public identity moved beyond conventional modeling. She wrote and spoke about lifelong beauty, health and well-being, arguing that age should be treated as an asset rather than simply as a problem to conceal.
That message placed her in a broader cultural shift: older women were increasingly presented not only as consumers of anti-aging products, but as people with experience, authority and an identity that did not disappear with youth. Haddon’s contribution was not limited to a single campaign or screen role. It was the sustained connection between her fashion career, beauty-industry work and writing about how women understand themselves as they grow older.
Dayle Haddon’s books
One of Haddon’s most clearly documented books is The Five Principles of Ageless Living: A Woman’s Guide to Lifelong Health, Beauty, and Well-Being. What this death underscores about carbon-monoxide safety
Carbon monoxide is difficult to detect without an alarm because it has no visible warning that people can rely on. The Haddon case is a reminder that any home or detached building with fuel-burning heating equipment needs attention to both detection and maintenance. It should not, however, be used to claim that a particular detector would necessarily have prevented this death; the public reports do not establish whether an alarm was installed or operating at the property.
