The result was part harvest celebration, part storybook wedding, and part late-night party.
Anne Burrell’s Carolina Herrera wedding dress
Burrell wore a wedding gown by Carolina Herrera. Windridge Estate reported that it was the first dress she tried on. The designer was also identified by The Knot and in Burrell’s own thank-you post.
The gown was photographed against the estate’s fall landscape and alongside one of the day’s most overtly romantic details: a white horse-drawn carriage. Burrell arrived at the outdoor ceremony in the carriage, giving the formal proceedings an unmistakably theatrical entrance.
Black tuxedos, orange sneakers, and burnt-orange bridesmaid dresses
Claxton and the groomsmen wore classic black Ralph Lauren Purple Label tuxedos, but the footwear kept the look from becoming overly traditional. They paired the tuxedos with orange Nike high-top sneakers.
The bridesmaids wore coordinated burnt-orange dresses that echoed the season and the reception’s warm palette. Burrell’s sister was part of the bridal party, as was fellow chef Rachael Ray. The Knot reported that the ceremony included four bridesmaids.
Claxton’s teenage son, Javier, served as his best man, adding an important family detail to the wedding party.
The ceremony: carriage arrival, autumn arbor, and a bagpiper
The ceremony was held outdoors on the Windridge Estate grounds beneath a tent. Published images show Burrell and Claxton beneath an arbor decorated in vivid orange and green foliage and flowers.
Burrell’s carriage arrival supplied the most traditional fairytale image, while the rest of the ceremony leaned into the couple’s lively, highly produced style. The photo coverage includes a musician in a distinctive floral suit and a bagpiper who helped lead guests toward cocktail hour.

Guests were photographed moving through the estate, with some using clear umbrellas as light rain passed through. The weather became part of the visual record without overwhelming the celebration.
Inside Redbarn 20: a harvest-inspired reception
The reception took place in Redbarn 20, a restored barn on the Windridge Estate property. Its architecture provided the rustic foundation, but the design was more colorful and theatrical than a simple barn wedding.
Whistlestop Florist created tablescapes using herbs, vegetables, colorful leaves, greenery, and other seasonal elements. The tables included wood chargers, brushed-gold flatware, warm pillar candles, and accents in green, orange, teal, and white. Windridge Estate said that the fresh produce used in the décor was donated to a local food bank after the wedding.
Inside the barn, Edison-style chandeliers hung above the dining area. A vintage lounge furnished with retro seating created a separate gathering space, while a white neon sign and vinyl-record styling brought a rock-and-roll edge to the harvest décor.

The reception’s entertainment and décor continued the contrast between country estate and theatrical party. A vintage Volkswagen photo bus gave guests a place to take pictures, and the event included a photo booth, a cigar roller, a coffee cart, and donuts.
The night ended with a sparkler exit. In the published images, the sparklers form a bright path around the couple as they leave the reception—one of the celebration’s most cinematic moments.
Anne Burrell personally developed the wedding menu
Burrell developed the menu over several months, with Diamond Catering providing the food. The menu reported by Windridge Estate was substantial and strongly tied to fall ingredients.

- Starter: roasted cauliflower steak with cauliflower purée, crispy potato shoestrings, crème fraîche, and caviar.
- Pasta course: goat-cheese and pumpkin ravioli with sage butter, frizzled Brussels-sprouts leaves, toasted pumpkin seeds, and pumpkin-seed oil.
- Entrée option one: braised short ribs with celery-root and parsnip purée.
- Entrée option two: herb-and-potato-crusted halibut with spaghetti squash, Tuscan kale, and pistachio pesto.

Buddy Valastro made the towering wedding cake
The wedding cake came from Buddy Valastro of Carlo’s Bakery. Windridge Estate described the six-tier cake as half zucchini cake and half olive-oil, lemon, and rosemary cake.
Food Network later published a scaled-down adaptation titled Rosemary Olive Oil Cake with Lemon Buttercream. According to the recipe page, Valastro decorated the original cake with vegetables molded from Rice Krispies treats, reinforcing the October harvest theme.

The first dance and the balloon drop
Burrell and Claxton chose Imagine Dragons’ “On Top of the World” for their first dance. Windridge Estate reported that the couple practiced extensively and received help from a Broadway choreographer.
A balloon drop followed the dance and opened the dance floor. The documented entertainment also included live musicians, a DJ, a bagpiper, a cigar roller, a coffee cart, donuts, and the photo bus.
