One Piece episode 1124 release date and time
Episode 1124, titled “Completely Surrounded! The Operation to Escape Egghead,” aired in Japan on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 11:15 p.m. JST.
This was the first episode to use the anime’s new regular Sunday-night broadcast slot in Japan. The episode continues the escape attempt from Egghead as the Navy surrounds the island. The Frontier Dome and its laser-defense system remain serious obstacles, and York’s passcode is needed to overcome the defenses.

Why did episodes 1123 and 1124 release on consecutive days?
The two episodes were part of a special return-weekend arrangement. The anime had paused after episode 1122. On April 5, Fuji TV aired the Egghead recap and episode 1123 in its Saturday Premium slot. Episode 1124 then aired the following night, April 6, when the series moved into its new regular Sunday broadcast time of 11:15 p.m. nationwide in Japan.
That unusual schedule is why some listings show episode 1123 on a Saturday and episode 1124 on a Sunday. It was a 2025 launch arrangement, not an indication that these episodes are scheduled for a future 2026 premiere.

What happens in episodes 1123 and 1124?
Episode 1123: “The World Shakes! The Straw Hats’ Hostage Situation”
Episode 1123 resumes the Egghead storyline amid a rapidly changing global situation. The story follows the reaction to Garp’s disappearance, Luffy’s predicament, the Navy’s encirclement of Egghead, and York’s negotiations with the Five Elders.
Its position is important because it re-establishes the larger stakes of the Egghead Arc after the production break. The conflict is no longer limited to the Straw Hats and the immediate crisis on the island: events connected to Egghead are affecting the wider world and the balance of power around it.
Episode 1124: “Completely Surrounded! The Operation to Escape Egghead”
Episode 1124 shifts the focus toward the practical problem of escape. Luffy and the others must get off Egghead while the Navy maintains a blockade around the island. The Frontier Dome’s defenses, including its laser system, complicate the plan, and York’s passcode becomes a critical part of the group’s efforts.
Viewers should expect the episode to develop the escape operation rather than serve as a standalone story. It directly follows the political and military pressure established in episode 1123.

Where to watch episodes 1123 and 1124 now
Both episodes are available in the official Crunchyroll One Piece catalog, subject to territory and language availability. The catalog lists episode 1123 as “The World Shakes! The Straw Hats’ Hostage Situation” and episode 1124 as “Completely Surrounded! The Operation to Escape Egghead.” Japanese and English audio options, along with English subtitles, are listed for the episodes, although the options shown to an individual viewer may vary by region.
If you are looking for the episodes today, search the One Piece series page for episode numbers 1123 and 1124 rather than relying on the old April 2025 premiere times. Those times are useful for understanding the original simulcast schedule, but they are not current appointment times.
Manga context for the episodes
The material connected with this part of the Egghead Arc is collected in One Piece manga Volume 108. VIZ describes Volume 108 as covering the Straw Hats’ attempted escape from Egghead while the Navy surrounds the island, making it a useful print companion for viewers who want to compare the anime’s adaptation with the manga.
The anime does not necessarily match the manga page-for-page in every episode, so Volume 108 should be treated as related source material rather than an exact episode transcript. Readers who want to avoid getting ahead of the anime should check the volume’s story range before reading further.

Important time-zone clarification
The Japanese broadcast dates are the most reliable way to identify the original releases. North American viewers generally saw the Crunchyroll simulcast on the morning of the same calendar day in the United States, but third-party listings sometimes converted the time incorrectly or confused the Japanese broadcast date with the North American streaming date.
