Savannah James is LeBron James’ wife, longtime partner, Akron community advocate, entrepreneur, and podcast host. Born Savannah Brinson, she met LeBron as a teenager in Akron, Ohio, years before his NBA career began. They married in 2013 and have three children: LeBron “Bronny” James Jr., Bryce James, and Zhuri James.
Although much of the public first encountered Savannah through her marriage to one of basketball’s biggest stars, her own work includes mentoring girls in Akron, organizing the I PROMise Makeover, founding the skincare company Reframe Beauty, and co-hosting the Everybody’s Crazy podcast.
How Savannah James and LeBron James met
Savannah James was born Savannah Brinson and grew up in Akron, Ohio, the same city that has remained central to LeBron James’ life and charitable work. The couple met as teenagers while attending different high schools in Akron. According to contemporaneous reporting from the Associated Press and ABC News, they began dating during high school, before LeBron entered the NBA.
That makes their relationship older than LeBron’s professional basketball career. LeBron was selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, while Savannah was already his longtime partner by the time he became a national sports celebrity.

LeBron proposed to Savannah on New Year’s Eve in 2011. They married on September 14, 2013, in a private ceremony at the Grand Del Mar in San Diego, California.
The couple’s long relationship has attracted considerable public attention, but reliable reporting supports the basic timeline rather than many of the rumors that circulate online. Claims about their private life, finances, or marriage should not be treated as established fact without strong sourcing.
How many children do Savannah and LeBron James have?
Savannah and LeBron James have three children:
- LeBron “Bronny” James Jr., born in 2004;
- Bryce James, born in 2007; and
- Zhuri James, born in 2014.
Zhuri is the couple’s only daughter. The family has generally maintained a more private public profile than LeBron’s basketball career might suggest. Their children have appeared in public and sports coverage, but details about the family’s private household life should not be filled in with speculation.
Savannah James’ philanthropy in Akron
Savannah’s most clearly documented independent public work is connected to girls, education, mentorship, and her hometown of Akron.

Women of Our Future
In March 2017, Savannah announced Women of Our Future, a mentorship program for young women in Akron. The initiative was designed to provide one-on-one mentoring, academic support, encouragement, and practical guidance to local high-school students. Its initial group included 16 students from Buchtel CLC, Savannah’s alma mater.
The program is important because it shows Savannah’s role as more than a public figure associated with the LeBron James brand. Its focus is local and direct: helping young women navigate high school, plan for their futures, and receive consistent support from mentors.
I PROMise Makeover
In 2013, Savannah established the I PROMise Makeover, an annual event intended to help Akron girls prepare for prom. The event combines practical assistance with an emphasis on confidence and celebration. The LeBron James Family Foundation reported that the 2018 makeover served 48 senior girls from Akron Public Schools high schools.
The event should be distinguished from the foundation’s wider I PROMISE education program. The LeBron James Family Foundation is a broader family organization focused on education and Akron-area students. Foundation materials describe Savannah as an active volunteer supporting its education-related work, while Women of Our Future and I PROMise Makeover are particularly associated with her own initiatives.
In other words, not every charitable project connected to the James family was personally founded by Savannah. The distinction matters, while still recognizing her substantial involvement in Akron’s education and youth-support efforts.
What businesses does Savannah James own?
Reframe Beauty
Savannah’s current, directly verifiable commercial venture is Reframe Beauty, a skincare company whose official materials identify her as founder. The brand sells facial skincare products directly through its website, including Pigment Processor, Compression Complex, Reframe Circadian Cream, and Overnight Collagen Seal.
Rank #3
Reframe’s brand story connects the company to Savannah’s desire to set an example for her daughter. The company also presents its products as intended for customers across skin tones, skin types, and cultural backgrounds. Readers can explore the Reframe Beauty skincare collection through the brand’s official site.
There is an important qualification when discussing the products: Reframe’s website uses language such as “clinically validated,” but the research available for this profile did not establish an independent, publicly reviewed body of evidence sufficient to make broader medical or guaranteed-results claims. Reframe is best described as Savannah James’ skincare brand, not as a substitute for professional dermatological advice or as a product line with every marketing claim independently verified.

Earlier reporting associated Savannah with The Juice Spot, a juice and smoothie business in Miami, and Home Court, a furniture collaboration with American Signature. These ventures provide useful background on her business interests, but their current operating status was not established in the available primary-source research. They should therefore be treated as historical ventures rather than presented as businesses Savannah currently operates.
Savannah James on the Everybody’s Crazy podcast
Savannah also has an independent media role as co-host of Everybody’s Crazy with April McDaniel. The Apple Podcasts listing categorizes the show under Society & Culture and describes a format built around listener call-ins, relationships, personal experiences, growth, and difficult situations.
The podcast offers something that a celebrity profile or basketball broadcast cannot: Savannah’s own conversational voice. Rather than focusing primarily on LeBron’s career, the show discusses the emotional and practical issues listeners bring to the hosts. The listing describes the program as updated weekly and active across 2024–2026, although podcast schedules and availability can change.
Rank #4
Is Savannah James’ maiden name Brinson?
Yes. Savannah James was born Savannah Brinson. She is widely identified by her married name, Savannah James, but Brinson is her maiden name.
How old is Savannah James?
Public biographical reporting lists Savannah James’ birth date as August 27, 1986. Because the strongest primary-source material about her focuses on her philanthropy, business, and media work rather than a formal biography, the date is best treated as a commonly reported biographical detail rather than the central fact of her public identity.
What is Savannah James known for?
Savannah is best known publicly for four connected parts of her life:
- Her marriage to LeBron James: They met as teenagers in Akron, married in 2013, and have three children.
- Her Akron philanthropy: Her work includes Women of Our Future and the I PROMise Makeover, with an emphasis on girls’ mentorship, education, and confidence.
- Reframe Beauty: She founded a skincare company that sells a collection of facial-care products.
- Everybody’s Crazy: She co-hosts a weekly-format Society & Culture podcast with April McDaniel.
For readers interested in the larger story of LeBron’s life and career, LeBron by Jeff Benedict is a biography focused primarily on LeBron rather than a dedicated biography of Savannah. It can provide broader context for the relationship and the Akron background, but it should not be mistaken for an account centered on Savannah’s own work.

There is no reliable basis here for stating an exact figure for Savannah’s net worth or the couple’s combined wealth. Celebrity net-worth estimates often rely on speculation and should not be presented as verified financial facts.
Likewise, available evidence does not establish that Savannah manages LeBron’s basketball career, finances, or entire business empire. She has her own documented charitable, commercial, and media activities, but those should not be expanded into unsupported claims about controlling LeBron’s professional affairs.
