To activate Bravo on most supported streaming devices, open the official Bravo app, look for the provider-linking or locked-content prompt, then visit nbc.com/activate on a phone or computer when the TV displays an activation code. Enter the code, choose a participating TV provider, and sign in with credentials for an account that includes Bravo.
The process is not identical on every platform. Roku, Apple TV, and Xbox may show a code-entry screen, while Fire TV devices may take you directly to provider sign-in instead.
What you need before activating Bravo
- A supported device with the latest available version of the official Bravo app.
- A participating cable, satellite, or digital TV provider account that includes Bravo, unless you plan to watch through Peacock.
- The email address, username, or password used for your TV-provider account.
- A phone or computer if the app displays an activation code.
Provider authentication unlocks much of Bravo’s on-demand library and may provide live streaming where available. An internet-only plan generally will not work for Bravo content that requires TV-provider authentication.
If you do not have a qualifying TV provider, Bravo’s FAQ identifies Peacock as an alternative in the United States. Peacock carries new Bravo episodes the day after their Bravo premiere, full seasons of selected shows, and Peacock-exclusive content. Availability outside the United States depends on the country and distribution agreements.

How to activate Bravo with a code
- Install or open the official Bravo app on your streaming device.
- Open the app’s settings, profile, or provider-linking area. On some devices, selecting a locked episode or other locked content starts the process.
- When the app shows an alphanumeric code, use a phone or computer—not the browser built into the TV—to open nbc.com/activate.
- Enter the code exactly as it appears on the TV screen.
- Select your participating cable, satellite, or digital TV provider.
- Sign in with the provider account that includes Bravo.
- Return to the streaming device and wait for the app to finish linking. You may need to close and reopen the app before the library appears.
The official activation endpoint identified in current NBC documentation is nbc.com/activate. Do not assume that a third-party page using a similar Bravo activation address is the authoritative destination.
Roku: activate Bravo and fix a failed link
Roku and Roku Stick are listed among the supported platforms, and Bravo has an official Roku channel. The usual Roku process is:
- From the Roku home screen, install or open the official Bravo channel.
- Start the provider-linking flow from the profile or settings area, or select locked content.
- Write down the code if one appears.
- On a phone or computer, visit nbc.com/activate and enter the code.
- Choose your TV provider and complete its sign-in.
NBC’s Roku guidance specifically directs users to use the activation page on a computer or mobile device rather than on the connected TV. If the channel remains locked or the code is rejected, work through these official troubleshooting steps:
- Unlink the TV provider in the Bravo app’s profile or settings area, then link it again.
- Clear the browser’s cache and site data, or retry in a private/incognito window.
- Remove the Bravo channel from Roku and add it again.
- Update the Roku system software.
- Restart the Roku device and repeat the activation process with a newly displayed code.
These steps are especially useful when the browser completed the provider sign-in but the Roku app did not receive the confirmation.
Fire TV and Fire TV Stick: the code screen may not appear
Fire TV and Fire TV Stick are supported platforms, but they can use a different authentication path. NBC’s documentation says connected-device activation is generally required except on Amazon Fire devices. As a result, Fire TV may present a direct in-app provider sign-in instead of asking you to enter a code at the NBC activation page.

- Install or open Bravo from the Fire TV app store.
- Choose the provider-linking option or open locked content.
- If the app asks you to sign in directly, complete the provider login inside the app.
- If it displays a code, use nbc.com/activate on a phone or computer and follow the code-entry steps above.
Do not keep searching for a code if the Fire TV app is already offering direct provider authentication. The screen you see can vary by device software and app version.
Fire TV troubleshooting
- Install available Fire TV system updates. Some NBCUniversal apps may not work correctly until the device software is current.
- Sign out of the provider in the Bravo app and authenticate again.
- Restart the Fire TV device.
- Open Fire TV settings, find the Bravo app, and force-stop it.
- Clear the app cache and, if necessary, the app data. Clearing data can remove the app’s saved sign-in state, so be prepared to authenticate again.
If you need a supported device in Amazon’s ecosystem, an Amazon Fire TV Stick is one option, but buying one does not guarantee that Bravo will use the standard code-entry screen. The direct sign-in exception is the important difference from Roku and some other platforms.
Apple TV: relink the provider correctly
NBC’s current supported-device information includes Apple TV 4th generation. If provider linking is stuck or Apple TV appears to have inherited the wrong provider connection from another NBCUniversal app, use this sequence:
- Open Settings on Apple TV.
- Select Users and Accounts.
- Select TV Provider.
- Sign out twice when prompted.
- Open the Bravo app and confirm that the old or incorrect provider connection is no longer being used.
- In Bravo, go to More > My Profile > Link.
- Sign in with the primary email address on the TV-provider account.
If linking still fails, quit and reopen Bravo, remove and reinstall the app, restart Apple TV, and install any available Apple TV software update. Apple TV’s system-level TV Provider setting can affect more than one NBCUniversal app, so signing out there before relinking Bravo is important.
Xbox: use the on-screen flow and verify availability
NBC Help currently lists Xbox One as a supported platform. An older Bravo FAQ also described Bravo Now on Xbox One through participating TV providers. Because app-store availability and app behavior can change, check the Microsoft Store on your console rather than assuming that every Xbox model supports the app.

- Open the app and start provider linking.
- Visit nbc.com/activate on a phone or computer.
- Enter the code shown on Xbox.
- Select a participating TV provider and sign in with the account that includes Bravo.
- Return to Xbox and allow the app to complete the link.
Current official documentation does not provide a separate Xbox-specific troubleshooting menu sequence, so use the app’s on-screen instructions rather than applying Roku or Apple TV steps blindly.

Why the Bravo activation code fails
The code has expired
Activation codes refresh every few minutes. If the page says the code is invalid, go back to the Bravo app and generate or display a new code. Enter the newest code, not one copied from an earlier screen.
The browser rejects a valid-looking code
Retry in a private or incognito window, clear the browser cache and cookies, and make sure you are using nbc.com/activate. A second browser or a different phone/computer can also eliminate a stale login session.
The app never displays a code
This may be normal on Fire TV, where direct in-app provider authentication can replace the general code flow. If the app is stuck and offers no usable sign-in path, delete and reinstall the Bravo app, then start provider linking again.
The provider login succeeds but Bravo remains locked
- Confirm that the signed-in TV-provider package actually includes Bravo.
- Check that you used the primary or correct provider account, rather than a secondary household profile without channel access.
- Unlink and relink the provider.
- Close and reopen Bravo after authentication.
- Update the device and the Bravo app.
The activation page works on the phone but not the TV
The code exchange is completed in the browser, but the TV app must still receive the result. Restarting the app or the streaming device can restore that handoff. On Roku, NBC’s recommended sequence also includes removing and re-adding the channel.

Do you need a cable subscription to watch Bravo?
For Bravo content inside the authenticated app, normally yes: you need a participating cable, satellite, or digital TV provider account that includes Bravo. An internet-only plan is not a substitute for that authentication.
An NBCUniversal Profile is separate from TV-provider access. A free profile can support cross-platform use where available and includes three credits for watching three locked episodes free, according to NBC. It does not unlock every Bravo episode or replace a qualifying TV-provider account.
For viewers without a participating provider, Bravo’s FAQ points to Peacock. The exact Peacock plan, catalog, release timing, and availability can change, so check the current Peacock offering for your location before subscribing.

Roku is explicitly listed as a supported platform and has dedicated official troubleshooting guidance. If your television lacks a compatible Bravo app but has an available HDMI input, a Roku Streaming Stick can be a practical way to add a supported streaming platform. It is optional: existing Roku owners do not need to buy another device, and compatibility can vary by the exact model and current app requirements.
Before purchasing any streaming device, check the current Bravo app listing and NBC’s supported-device information. A device purchase will not solve a missing TV-provider subscription or an incorrect provider login.

NBC Help’s current supported-device list includes Android phones and tablets, Apple TV 4th generation, Chromecast, Echo Show, Fire Tablets, Fire TV and Fire TV Stick, iPhone and iPad, Mac and PC browsers, Roku and Roku Stick, Samsung TV, VIZIO Smart TV, and Xbox One. Features vary by device, and NBC advises installing the latest available app version.

That list describes platform families rather than guaranteeing every model, regional app store, or software version. If your device is not listed, use a supported streaming platform or check the app store on the device for current availability.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is bravotv.com/activatenow the correct Bravo activation page?
The current official endpoint identified in the research is nbc.com/activate. Some older or third-party instructions mention other Bravo-branded activation addresses, but they should not be treated as authoritative unless current official NBC or Bravo documentation confirms them.
Why does Fire TV not show the same activation code as Roku?
Fire TV devices are an exception to NBC’s general connected-device activation requirement in some app flows. Fire TV may offer direct provider sign-in instead of a browser code. If a code does appear, use the normal nbc.com/activate process.
Can I watch Bravo without a cable, satellite, or digital TV provider?
Bravo’s FAQ identifies Peacock as the main alternative in the United States. It offers new episodes after their Bravo premiere, selected full seasons, and Peacock-exclusive content. International availability varies.
Does an NBCUniversal Profile unlock all Bravo content?
