Red Dead Redemption officially launched on compatible Android and Apple devices on December 2, 2025. The mobile release is available through Netflix, Google Play, and the Apple App Store. It includes the complete single-player Red Dead Redemption campaign, the Undead Nightmare expansion, and selected Game of the Year Edition bonus content.
If you searched for a “Red Dead Redemption APK download,” use the official Google Play listing or install the game through the Netflix app. Do not download a modified, cracked, mirrored, or unofficial APK. The official mobile game is Red Dead Redemption—the 2010 game—not Red Dead Redemption 2.
What is included in the Netflix mobile release?
This is a substantial single-player package rather than a small companion app. The official Google Play listing describes the Netflix edition as including:
- The complete single-player story of Red Dead Redemption.
- The complete Undead Nightmare expansion.
- Selected bonus content from the Game of the Year Edition.
- Additional mobile-release content and mobile-friendly control options.
Undead Nightmare is a separate zombie-themed story in which John Marston searches for the source of the outbreak and a cure. It is included in the mobile package, so you do not need to find a separate official mobile download for the expansion.

There is one important limitation: the mobile version does not include the original console multiplayer content. It should be described as a single-player package containing the western campaign and Undead Nightmare, not as a complete recreation of every feature from the original console release.
How to download Red Dead Redemption on Android
Android has two official installation routes.
Option 1: Google Play
- Open the official Google Play listing for Red Dead Redemption NETFLIX.
- Check that the developer is shown as Netflix, Inc..
- Confirm that the package identity is
com.netflix.NGP.Kamo. - Tap Install and follow the sign-in prompts.
- When asked, choose the Netflix profile that will play the game.
The Play Store listing identifies the app as Red Dead Redemption NETFLIX, requires a Netflix membership, and was reported as updated on February 27, 2026. Store information can change, so verify the developer and listing on the device where you intend to install it.
Option 2: Install from the Netflix Android app
- Open the official Netflix app and sign in.
- Find the Mobile Games row or open the Games shortcut.
- Select Red Dead Redemption.
- Choose Install Game. Netflix will send you to the appropriate app-store page.
- Complete the installation, return to the game, and select a Netflix profile when prompted.
Netflix says mobile games require an active membership, a compatible device, an internet connection for downloading and installing, and sufficient storage. The game is included with the membership rather than requiring a separate in-game purchase, but “free” in the store should be read as free to download with a Netflix membership, not as an account-free download.
How to download it on iPhone or iPad
On Apple devices, search the App Store for Red Dead Redemption NETFLIX and verify that the developer is Netflix, Inc. The official listing describes the app as free to download with a Netflix membership required, and reports a size of approximately 3.1 GB.
- Open the App Store and search for Red Dead Redemption NETFLIX.
- Check the developer name before downloading.
- Tap Get and authenticate with your Apple account if necessary.
- Open the game from the device Home Screen after installation.
- Sign in with Netflix and choose the profile that will play.

These are the compatibility requirements shown for this game listing. They should not be generalized to every Apple device that can run the Netflix video app. The App Store compatibility result on the specific iPhone or iPad remains the practical check.
Android requirements and compatibility
Rockstar’s Android device-support guidance says that, for stable performance and the best results, Android devices should use a processor that meets or exceeds the performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888.
That is a performance guideline, not a guarantee that every Snapdragon 888 device—or every device with a newer-sounding Android version—will run the game identically. Compatibility may also depend on graphics hardware, operating-system configuration, region, and Google Play eligibility.
Do not assume that Android 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, or 16 alone makes a phone compatible. The safest process is:
- Open the official Google Play listing on the target phone.
- See whether Google Play allows installation or marks the device as incompatible.
- Check that the phone has adequate free storage.
- Update Android and the Netflix app if an update is available.
- If the store blocks installation despite suitable hardware, contact Netflix or Rockstar support rather than installing an APK from an unverified site.
How much storage does the game need?
The Apple listing reports a download size of approximately 3.1 GB. Keep more free space than the displayed download figure: an app may need additional room while unpacking files, installing updates, and creating saved data. The extra-space advice is practical guidance, not a published Rockstar minimum-storage specification.
On Android, the exact storage requirement may vary by device and app version. If installation fails, check both internal storage and the store’s download status. Removing temporary files or unused apps may help with a general storage shortage, but no cleanup tool can make unsupported hardware compatible.

Why you should not download a third-party APK
The official Android distribution identified for this release is Google Play and the Netflix app. A third-party APK repository is not an official Rockstar or Netflix distribution channel.
Some download pages use terms such as “split APK,” “mod APK,” “unlocked,” or “RDR2 Mobile APK.” Those labels can conceal several risks:
- The file may be modified, incomplete, or incompatible with the device.
- It may contain malware, intrusive advertising, or unwanted permissions.
- It may fail Netflix account or licensing checks.

- It may falsely claim to be Red Dead Redemption 2 for mobile.

A controller is not required to install or play the game. A phone or tablet stand can also be useful for longer desk or tabletop sessions, but it has no effect on game compatibility or performance. Charging cables and power banks are practical for extended sessions, not requirements for this title.

Netflix membership and pricing
The Netflix mobile edition requires an active Netflix membership. Netflix’s mobile-games documentation and the Google Play listing describe the game as included with that membership without a separate purchase inside the game.

The game does not appear in Google Play or the App Store
Search using the exact title Red Dead Redemption NETFLIX and check the developer. If the store says the device is incompatible, do not treat an APK mirror as a solution. On Android, review the Snapdragon 888-or-better performance guidance and the store’s eligibility result. On Apple devices, compare the device with the listed iPhone and iPad generations.
Installation stops or fails
- Confirm a stable internet connection.
- Free additional internal storage beyond the displayed download size.
- Update the operating system, Google Play or App Store, and Netflix app.
- Restart the device and retry the official installation.

The game opens but will not let you continue

Close other demanding apps, install available system and game updates, and check that the device is not overheating or critically low on storage. A compatible physical controller may improve input comfort, but it cannot fix unsupported hardware or guarantee a particular frame rate.
For device-specific failures, use the support options provided by Netflix and Rockstar. Store availability is the most useful first test because compatibility is not determined by Android version alone.
