Spotify Wrapped is an annual, personalized recap of the music, podcasts, audiobooks, artists, creators, and—new in 2024—authors that shaped a listener’s year. The 2024 edition combined a story-like data presentation with playlists, creator messages, editorial charts, sharing tools, and several experimental AI features.
There is an important timing distinction: Wrapped 2024 is an archived campaign, not a newly launched feature. Spotify released it on December 4, 2024, and the original interactive story was not guaranteed to remain available indefinitely. The exact screens and search results can also vary by country, account, language, device, and Premium eligibility.
How to find Spotify Wrapped 2024
Try the original Wrapped experience
- Update Spotify. On an iPhone or iPad, check the Apple App Store; on Android, check Google Play. Spotify advised listeners to use the latest version of the mobile app for the optimized Wrapped experience. See Spotify’s Wrapped app-update guidance.
- Open Spotify on a mobile device. The primary launch experience was designed for the iOS and Android apps rather than the desktop application.
- Look at the top of Home. Select the Wrapped feed or filter. Spotify described this feed as the central location for the 2024 experience.
- Open the personalized story. Follow the cards through your listening statistics, top artists, songs, genres, and any additional features available to your account.
If Wrapped is not visible on Home
Use Spotify’s Search tab and try these terms:
- Wrapped
- 2024 Wrapped
- Your Top Songs 2024
- 2024 in Music
- 2024 in Podcasts
- Your Spotify Wrapped AI podcast
Search is particularly useful for recovering playlists after the story has disappeared. Spotify’s launch material also said that eligible listeners could reach the AI podcast through the Wrapped feed, a search for its title, or the link associated with the Top Songs 2024 playlist. The availability of these search results may change as Spotify reorganizes older content.

What to do if the interactive story has expired
The animated story and the saved playlists are separate things. Spotify may stop opening the story at spotify.com/wrapped even when your playlists remain accessible.
A January 2025 response in the Spotify Community suggested checking Made For You > Uniquely Yours and searching for “Wrapped.” This is a practical recovery path, not a permanent-access guarantee from Spotify.
Start with Your Top Songs 2024. Depending on what remains available to your account, you may also find the Top 100 Songs playlist, music and podcast hubs, or other personalized Wrapped playlists in the mobile app or web player. Desktop and web-player access existed for some 2024 Wrapped playlist content, but Spotify’s interface can change.
The best new features in Spotify Wrapped 2024
1. Your Music Evolution
Your Music Evolution was the headline addition. Instead of presenting the year as one unchanging set of totals, Spotify divided a listener’s listening into as many as three musical phases.

Each phase included its own descriptors, genres, and artists, giving the recap a rough timeline of how the listener’s tastes or moods shifted during the year. Spotify also created a Music Evolution playlist containing familiar favorites alongside recommendations connected to those phases.
This feature was more interpretive than a simple play-count table. The phases were Spotify’s description of patterns in your listening, not a clinical measurement of your mood or a permanent profile label.
2. Your Top Artist Reimagined
The top-artist section received two notable additions:

- Longest Listening Streak: a view of how long you kept returning to your top artist.
- Top Listeners: an indication of the percentage of that artist’s listeners within which you ranked.
These numbers belonged to the Wrapped presentation. They should not be treated as permanent statistics displayed on your Spotify profile or as a guarantee that every listener received the same artist metrics.
3. Artist Clips and Podcaster Clips
Some eligible listeners received short videos or messages from artists and podcast creators inside Wrapped. Spotify cited artists including Peso Pluma, ROSÉ, Billie Eilish, USHER, Sabrina Carpenter, and KAROL G, among others.
Podcast examples included Anything Goes with Emma Chamberlain, Crime Junkie, Distractible, and Diary of a CEO with Steven Bartlett. A clip was not guaranteed simply because you listened to a particular artist or show: the creator had to participate, and the feature also depended on the listener’s eligibility and market.
4. Personalized music-video playlists
In markets where Spotify’s music-video beta was available, eligible Premium users could receive a personalized playlist combining videos from some of their most-loved artists of the year.
This was one of the most restricted additions. It depended on both the availability of Spotify’s music-video beta in your country and your Premium status. Not seeing a music-video playlist does not mean that your Wrapped data was incomplete.
5. More editorial context
Wrapped 2024 expanded beyond personal statistics with editorial playlists and hubs covering music, podcasts, video podcasts, audiobooks, listening trends, and anticipated podcast launches. These sections placed individual listening habits alongside the wider culture of 2024.
Spotify also introduced a separate Wrapped experience for authors, alongside experiences for artists, songwriters, podcast creators, and advertisers. These professional versions are different from the listener-facing recap.

Spotify Wrapped’s AI features
Your Spotify Wrapped AI podcast
The most distinctive AI addition was Your Spotify Wrapped AI podcast, a personalized audio discussion about a listener’s year. Spotify built it with Google’s NotebookLM and presented it as an Audio Overview featuring two AI hosts discussing the listener’s top songs, artists, and genres.
It was not a universally available Wrapped component. In 2024, Spotify said it was offered for a limited time to eligible Free and Premium users in English in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Ireland, and Sweden.

To look for it, search Spotify for Your Spotify Wrapped AI podcast. You could also try the Wrapped feed or the link associated with Your Top Songs 2024. If it no longer appears, the limited-time nature of the feature is the most likely explanation—not necessarily a problem with your account.
Because the podcast was AI-generated, it should be understood as an entertaining interpretation of your listening data rather than a human-hosted documentary or an authoritative psychological analysis.
DJ: Wrapped
DJ: Wrapped extended Spotify’s AI DJ concept with commentary about the listener’s year. Spotify said DJ could discuss the music that soundtracked the year, add editorial context about 2024’s top tracks and artists, and describe the listener’s relationship with DJ.
The feature was available to Premium subscribers and was also offered in Spanish in 2024. As with the other AI tools, availability could depend on market, account, language, and the period during which Spotify kept the feature active.

In selected markets, eligible Premium users could use AI Playlist inside the Wrapped experience to generate a playlist from their results. Spotify gave prompts such as:

The generated playlist was intended to build on your Wrapped profile rather than replace your existing Top Songs playlist. The feature was market- and eligibility-dependent, so its absence is not evidence that you are using the wrong Spotify app.
Sharing your Wrapped results
Spotify added Wrapped styling to sharing across music and podcasts. When you tapped Share on a track, artist, or podcast, Spotify could show whether that item appeared among your:
- top 100 songs;
- top 20 artists; or
- top five podcasts.
Results could be shared through messaging and social platforms. Spotify also highlighted a TikTok integration that supported sharing to the TikTok feed and Stories.

- Check Spotify on the web player if you are looking for a playlist rather than the animated story.
- Confirm that you are signed in to the account that generated the original Wrapped results.
- Do not assume that missing AI, video, or creator features indicate an error; market, language, Premium, and creator eligibility all matter.
If none of the searches returns a 2024 playlist, Spotify may no longer be surfacing that campaign for your account. There is no reliable way to recreate the original story after the campaign ends, and Spotify’s current app labels may differ from the 2024 launch interface.
What Spotify Wrapped 2024 did best
The strongest change was Music Evolution, because it made the recap feel like a progression through a year rather than a static ranking. The creator clips and the AI podcast added personality, while the editorial hubs connected a listener’s private habits to larger music, podcast, and audiobook trends.
Its main limitation was inconsistency: the most interesting extras were not universal, and access could depend on factors Spotify did not expose clearly in the main story. For archival access today, saved playlists—especially Your Top Songs 2024—are more dependable than the original animated presentation.
