The first two episodes were available at the April 8 launch time. Each subsequent episode followed the same Wednesday release pattern. Local availability could vary by region and account settings, so viewers outside the United States were best served by checking the episode page in their local Prime Video app.
Is May 20 the Season 5 finale or the series finale?
May 20 was the release date for “Blood and Bone,” the eighth episode and the conclusion of The Boys. Season 5 was announced as the show’s fifth and final season, so the episode is the series finale, not simply the end of another season.

- Ultra-speedy streaming: Roku Ultra is 30% faster than any other Roku player, delivering a lightning-fast interface and apps that launch in a snap.
- Cinematic streaming: This TV streaming device brings the movie theater to your living room with spectacular 4K, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision picture alongside immersive Dolby Atmos audio.
- The ultimate Roku remote: The rechargeable Roku Voice Remote Pro offers backlit buttons, hands-free voice controls, and a lost remote finder.
- No more fumbling in the dark: See what you’re pressing with backlit buttons.
- Say goodbye to batteries: Keep your remote powered for months on a single charge.
That distinction matters because the schedule does not point to a sixth season after the May 20 episode. Prime Video’s final-season information and Amazon’s announcement both describe Season 5 as the end of the main series.
Was the finale shown in cinemas?
There was a limited theatrical event before the streaming release. In the United States and Canada, the finale received select 4DX screenings on May 19, 2026, at 9:30 p.m. local time.
