Archive note: The 67th Annual Grammy Awards took place on Sunday, February 2, 2025, so the live broadcast is no longer available. This guide records the U.S. viewing options that were offered for the event, including CBS, Paramount+, live-TV streaming services, the free Premiere Ceremony, and red-carpet coverage.
When and where the 2025 Grammys aired
The main Grammy Awards ceremony was broadcast from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, hosted by Trevor Noah. The CBS telecast ran from 8:00 to 11:30 p.m. Eastern / 5:00 to 8:30 p.m. Pacific on February 2, 2025.
In the United States, the full primetime ceremony was carried by CBS through local CBS stations. Viewers could access that station through a traditional television provider, an antenna, or a live-TV streaming service that carried CBS in their market.
How to watch the main ceremony
| Option | What it provided | Important limitation |
|---|---|---|
| Local CBS station | The complete primetime Grammy telecast | Required a cable or satellite package, or reception with an antenna |
| Digital antenna | Free over-the-air access to local CBS | Reception depended on location, antenna placement, and signal strength |
| Paramount+ with SHOWTIME | Live access to the viewer’s local CBS affiliate | The live stream was not included with every Paramount+ plan |
| Live-TV streaming service | CBS livestream where the service carried the local station | Local-channel availability varied by address |
Cable, satellite, or antenna
A cable or satellite subscription was not strictly necessary. Anyone able to receive their local CBS signal could use a digital over-the-air antenna without paying for a television package. The antenna itself could involve a one-time purchase, but there was no ongoing CBS access fee.

Before the broadcast, viewers using an antenna needed to check that their home could receive a CBS affiliate. Indoor reception can be unreliable in areas with obstructions, long distances from the transmitter, or weak signals.
Paramount+
The plan level mattered. Paramount+ with SHOWTIME included a live stream of the local CBS affiliate and therefore live access to the Grammys in the U.S.
Paramount+ Essential did not provide the live ceremony. Essential subscribers could watch the program on demand beginning Monday, February 3, 2025. A Paramount+ account or subscription by itself was not proof of live access; viewers needed the SHOWTIME-tier plan for the live broadcast.

Live-TV streaming services
Cord-cutters could use a live television service carrying their local CBS station. Services reported as options for the 2025 broadcast included:
Recommended Free Tools
- DirecTV Stream
- Hulu + Live TV
- Fubo
- YouTube TV
These services do not necessarily carry the same local channels in every city. The practical check was to enter the viewing address on the provider’s website and confirm that CBS was included before starting a subscription or free trial.
Free ways to watch
Use a digital antenna
The antenna route was the most straightforward no-subscription option. If the local CBS station reached the home, the viewer could watch the main ceremony free over the air. It was not, however, a universal internet stream: availability depended on the local broadcast signal.

CBS Los Angeles also offered red-carpet programming, and E! aired its own Live From E! coverage. These programs covered arrivals and interviews; they were not substitutes for the complete Grammy Awards ceremony.

What did not work for the full ceremony
- A free YouTube search: Official YouTube streams covered the Premiere Ceremony and red carpet, not the full primetime CBS show.
- Paramount+ Essential: This plan offered next-day on-demand viewing rather than the live ceremony.
- Red-carpet pages: Red-carpet video did not continue into the complete awards telecast.
- Assuming a streaming service carried CBS: Local station rights differed by market, so the service’s channel checker was essential.

Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteThe Bottom Line
The 2025 Grammys were primarily a CBS event. A local CBS station, digital antenna, or a live-TV service carrying CBS provided the main ceremony, while Paramount+ viewers needed the SHOWTIME-tier plan for live access. The Recording Academy’s website and social channels offered the free Premiere Ceremony and red-carpet coverage, but not the complete primetime broadcast. Since the event took place on February 2, 2025, these options should be treated as archival rather than current viewing instructions.
