The Appalachian National Scenic Trail, or simply the Appalachian Trail is a marked hiking trail in the Eastern United States. It extends between Springer Mountain in Georgia and Mount Katahdin in Maine.
The trail travels through fourteen states along the crests and valleys of the Appalachian Mountain Range
To finish the Appalachian trail, you need between 5 to 7 months. Completing the entire 2,190 miles of the trail is one big and large adventure and undertaking. Every year, thousands of hikers attempt a thru-hike. And one in four makes it all the way.
So far, 12 people have lost their life trying to complete the overwhelming experience. Still, it remains a place of beauty rather than brutality.
