The Future by Design documentary, featuring the work and life of Dr. Jacque Fresco, is a must-watch for anyone concerned about the future of our planet. Dr. Fresco, a futurist and social engineer, has been designing and inventing solutions for a better world since his childhood when he began making drawings about his vision of the future. During his appearance on The Larry King Show in 1974, he discussed how he could not afford to be bothered by people referring to him as being too far ahead of his time as there are too many important things that need attention.
Dr. Fresco’s revolutionary ideas focus on building an entire world from the ground up with concepts such as underwater cities, floating cities, skyscrapers with landing platforms and more. He believes that if the environment is altered then behavior will also be altered and this can lead us into a self-regulated society governed by a cybernetic system of supply and demand. This would involve tabulating input information from the general population to provide goods and services accordingly.
