The children of 9/11 – Growing up in the shadow of terror

The lives of many children and young people were dramatically changed by the attacks of September 11, 2001. In “We Remember: Stories of 9/11,” we hear firsthand accounts from individuals who have experienced unspeakable tragedy, trauma, and loss. We are introduced to Matthew, who lost his father on the 105th floor of the World Trade Center’s North Tower and turned to drug  to cope with the pain. Joining him are first responders and their children who recount the events of that fateful day and the aftermath that followed.

Through compelling and emotional storytelling, “We Remember: Stories of 9/11” brings us closer to the accounts of those who endured this grave tragedy. We are reminded of the unfathomable strength, resilience, and hope that emerged in the face of unimaginable adversity. As we hear from those whose lives were forever changed by 9/11, we are reminded of the importance of preserving history, remembering those lost, and honoring the legacy of those who responded with unwavering courage and selflessness.
