Pablo Emilio Escobar Gaviria was a Colombian drug lord and narcoterrorist who was the founder and sole leader of the Medellín Cartel.
He got powerful by getting involved in drug smuggling. As the cocaine industry grew in Colombia, thanks in part to its proximity to Peru, Ecuador, and Bolivia, Escobar found the crime organization that later became known as the Medellin cartel.
At the time of his death, he had a net worth of $37 billion. Considered one of the most powerful drug traffickers in the world, he was shot allegedly by his brother Rodolfo.
In this documentary, Victoria Eugenia Henao, Pablo Escobar’s widow, speaks out about her life with the world’s most notorious drug lord.
Who was the woman behind Pablo Escobar? What did she think of her husband’s way of life? She was his wife and lover…. but was she also his business partner?
