Single mum Laura is constantly searching for symptoms of cancer on the internet since her father died from a brain tumor, and Kevin can’t stop obsessing over the fear of HIV since he had a blood transfusion.
Following a group of patients suffering from hypochondria, also known as health anxiety disorder, this documentary takes a close and honest look at this disabling condition.
See how Laura, Kevin, and the other hypochondriacs progress and overcome their anxieties through therapy.
The definition of a hypochondriac is “someone who lives with the fear that they have a serious, but undiagnosed medical condition, even though diagnostic tests show there is nothing wrong with them”.
These people experience extreme anxiety from the bodily responses most people take for granted.
