Episode 4 – Roots of Performance – Let Me Be Frank

Oct 23, 2022 | Activism, Performing Arts, Videos

Born in 1946, Frank James Moore has been an underground counter-culture hero in America. He became known in the early 90s thanks to his performances that featured nudity, eroticism, participation from the audience, and of course, ritualistic scenes. Some people tagged those scenes as obscene.

But Frank doesn’t mind, and he hasn’t changed one bit for the past 20 years. In the serial Let me be Frank, he displays himself in full disclosure to the public.

Originally planned as a documentary to Frank’s life, the producers decided to expand the material to a serial, since they had so much footage.

There is more than three hours footage, all available on the website of the project. Just be warned, this is not your “normal talking head style documentary”. Frank has already written a biography of this sort in his book “Art of a Shaman”. The fourth installment of the serial is all about the performances.
